Chapter 764 - 368: Meimei’s Equipment

Chapter 764 - 368: Meimei’s Equipment

"What are you doing?" Li Ang immediately frowned, feeling something was off."This spot will be my little nest from now on." Dorothy touched the underside of the desk above her head and giggled.

"What nonsense are you spouting... hey!"

The half-elf scooted forward and reached out to tug at the fabric on Li Ang’s leg.

Her delicate nose and enchanting face were close, lightly nuzzling and sniffing.

"Ugh, it’s strong, making me a bit dizzy."

"I didn’t shower after exercising, let go."

"No."

Dorothy looked at him with beguiling eyes and clung tightly, lightly parting her cherry lips.

"Ugh."

As Li Ang considered holding the half-elf’s face, the captain’s office door suddenly knocked.

Both paused, and Li Ang nudged the half-elf, "Hey, someone’s here, don’t mess around."

The young girl clung tightly to his waist, assisted by a few Demon-Born Flower Vines, refusing to be pushed aside. More force and the desk might be overturned.

"Don’t want to," she mumbled.

Saying something like, "Believe it or not, I’ll smack you," had no effect on her, and in this situation, he couldn’t think of a way to deal with it.

With the arrival of the Eternal Summer, the previous interaction patterns had to change. Li Ang hadn’t expected anyone to lie in ambush under a desk.

The knocking continued, and seeing no response, the person outside called out, "Li Ang, are you not there? Sister Farin said you’re back."

It was Meimei.

Hearing the girl’s voice, the rainbow-haired girl gave Li Ang a sidelong glance, as if to say, "You’re such a flirt," intensifying her actions and force.

Li Ang sighed softly and whispered, "She’s seeking me for business; do you think everyone is like you?"

These words only provoked a fiercer response from the half-elf, and the knocking grew louder.

"Hey, are you deceiving me?!" Meimei said, "Or are you doing something unspeakable in there?"

"No!" Li Ang replied immediately.

The doorknob turned, and Meimei pushed the door open.

"Hmm?"

In the girl’s eyes, Li Ang was just sitting there, hands on the desk, looking slightly awkward.

She skeptically glanced around the room, feeling something was off, but couldn’t pinpoint it with her knowledge.

Seeing Li Ang silent as if holding something in, the cute girl tilted her head, "You wouldn’t regret it, would you?"

"How could I, that would be underestimating me."

Li Ang’s eyebrow twitched, "Making equipment for you doesn’t take much effort from me."

"Alright."

The white-haired girl couldn’t suppress a smile on her face.

To her, a complete set of perfectly matching high-quality equipment was a rare experience. In a broken world, it’s always about using whatever’s available, fighting and fleeing, and by the time she reached Nebis, she’d lost everything she had.

"Here." Li Ang picked up paper and pen from the desk and tossed them over, "Write down what you want."

Meimei caught the items, staring at Li Ang curiously, "Feels like you’re annoyed with me? Like you’re forcing yourself to deal with me?"

I’m holding back, not for that reason.

Li Ang discreetly pressed on Dorothy under the desk, ignoring the possibility of the blade at the edge of his hand hurting her. Fortunately, Meimei hadn’t activated Magic Perception, or she’d immediately know there’s someone else in the room.

Though he pretty much stopped acting human in front of the four members, Li Ang still wanted to maintain his image before the other people on the ship. With Meimei, he couldn’t imagine how she’d react upon discovering the truth; with her personality, she’d certainly explode on the spot, affecting her understanding of another world and connection with the Water Dragon.

The Demon’s Hand’s monster strength could stop the half-elf’s head movements but not her tongue, making it tough for Li Ang to endure.

"It’s nothing; I just started archery practice and am not quite used to it, feeling sore all over."

"That’s why I’ve always found you amazing; dual professions are tackled just like that—is that how witches are?"

Meimei jotted down her equipment preferences while chatting with Li Ang.

"How should I put it? This profession differs from most cultivation methods, so what’s seen also differs from most professions. So, um, so..."

Li Ang felt like he was rambling as his senses tingled.

Meimei looked at him quizzically, then walked over and placed the notebook on the desk.

At the moment she approached, Li Ang’s body stiffened, gripping the half-elf tightly to keep her from moving.

"Okay, I understand." Li Ang nodded, hinting at Meimei to leave the room first.

The white-haired girl, confused, instead indicated for Li Ang to check what she noted, "Take a look; there are a few details I want to discuss with you."

Li Ang’s mouth twitched as he picked up the notebook, "Mm, let me see. You want a design with Elven-style elegance..."

Meimei blushed slightly, "Is it not possible?"

"It’s possible, uh."

"Are you mocking my taste?"

"The Elven style is very popular among female sky knights; it’s not strange."

"Then why are you making weird noises?"

"Ah, let me see; next is the style requirement, needing light armor type..."

Dorothy became more audacious, causing Li Ang to take control, leaning forward and pinning her head, making it difficult for her to breathe, reversing the situation to his advantage.

Seizing the opportunity, he quickly spoke to Meimei, "Most can be realized, but about the waist and abdomen, I need to mention..."

"Mention what?!" Meimei suddenly got nervous.

"Don’t get it wrong, it’s serious, because your body is small, crafting armor might result in friction and restrict movement."
