Chapter 945: Can’t Stop (1)
Aunt Ji brought a bowl of milk without sugar. Aunt Wang tasted it and found it was indeed slightly sweet. Seeing that Aunt Ji agreed, she decided to do so.
"It tastes good too!" Aunt Wang felt more confident after drinking the milk without added grain.
The next morning, a long line formed in front of the Wang family's gate. Many people came with containers of milk, waiting for Aunt Wang to distribute the milk to them.
Fortunately, as Aunt Ji reminded them yesterday, the Wang family got up early to boil milk. After following Aunt Ji's method and removing the smell of milk, the whole house was filled with the fragrance of milk.
"Why isn't it ready yet? I can smell it! Oh! It smells so good!" Several middle-aged ladies were getting impatient and urged.
"Don't rush, don't rush, it's coming!" Aunt Wang glanced at the other aunts. She was in a good mood today and didn't bother with them. When her son brought up the bucket of milk, Aunt Wang immediately called out. "Come on, come on, line up one by one!"
"Why do we still have to queue?" some people said dissatisfiedly.
"How can I know who goes first and who goes last if we don't queue up? I have so much milk, I have to keep track of it." Aunt Wang said to everyone.
The uncles and aunts thought it made sense and no one wanted to suffer a loss, so they lined up obediently.
"A small bowl costs two cents, a medium bowl costs three cents, and a large bowl costs four cents! You decide how much you want, and I'll give you that much!" Aunt Wang shouted to the crowd.
"I want a medium bowl!" the first lady in line said immediately, taking out three cents and handing them to Aunt Wang. Aunt Wang picked up the medium bowl, filled it up, and then poured it into the bowl that the aunt brought.
Seeing that Aunt Wang had filled the cup so full, the other lady was also very happy. She happily took the milk and went home quickly.
She said she wanted to go home quickly, but because the bottle was too full, a few drops of milk fell with every step she took. She returned home at the speed of a turtle, and a small layer of milk had spilled, which made her very sad.
The old lady couldn't help but take a sip and couldn't stop. By the time she realized it, she had finished all the milk in the bowl.
The old lady licked her lips in remembrance. Unexpectedly, her husband came back and raised his eyebrows when he saw the two white mustaches at the corners of her mouth. "Where have you been?"
"Old Wang's family has some new milk, and I just went to get a bowl of it." The old lady replied.
"Where's the milk?" asked the old lady's husband.
"..." The old lady was stunned, "I just want to taste it."
Then it was gone.
"..." The old man was too ashamed to look at his wife. She was so grown up, but she was still fighting with the child for milk! "Go get another bowl, or little Tiedan will come back and cry his heart out."
"Go, go, I'll go right away!" The old lady touched her nose guiltily and went out again with the bowl.
After coming back with another bowl, the old lady brought it to the man and went out to work. The man raised his eyebrows at the milk that exuded a milky aroma, and couldn't help but shout in his heart, so he lowered his head and took a sip.
As a result, the milk was gone again.
When the old lady saw the empty bowl, she put her hands on her hips and looked at the guilty-looking man with a raised eyebrow. "Where's my milk?"
"...I just took a small bite." The man turned his head away. How could he know that it was just a small bite and the whole bowl was gone.
"Hmph! You're still blaming me! You're not the same person! You go and get it this time! Bring back two more bowls!" The old lady glanced at her husband and couldn't bear to watch.
