Chapter 235 Stunning the Audience
Chapter 235 Stunning the Audience
“Severus, I think you’re perfect just the way you are.” I couldn’t take my eyes off Severus in his evening gown.
It's true what they say, clothes make the man, and a saddle makes the horse. Severus is already handsome without even needing to fix his hair. But I'm not the kind of person who gives up halfway; I think I'm quite a perfectionist myself.
“Come here, Severus, I want to make you even more prominent tonight.” The Severus in front of me was not the Severus Snape I had read about in a book in my past life.
He was well protected by me and didn't live a difficult life in the dark world. He is someone I love.
“I think it’s great right now.” Severus felt that he would be the center of attention as soon as he appeared in front of everyone, not to mention that Ayers, who was standing next to him, was also the most eye-catching person.
“Yes, that’s a perfect score now.” I stood up, holding some lotion in my hand, and ruffled it in Severus’s hair.
His hair had a few wavy folds, which made me want to keep it as a keepsake.
"Ayers, your gaze is too intense." Severus himself couldn't stand it anymore; the way I was staring at him was just too intense, and he couldn't help but use his hand to block my view.
“Because you look so captivating, Severus.” I wiped the remaining lotion off my hands with a handkerchief, then grabbed the hand that was blocking my view.
Severus only realized that Ayers' pupils were now golden when his hand was grabbed and taken away.
“We don’t have time right now, let’s grab something to eat and then head to the hall.” She wrapped her arms around Severus’s waist, a little moved, but quickly returned to her original position, pulling Severus to sit down and taking out some pastries from her portable backpack to eat with him.
As night falls on the Great Hall of Hogwarts Castle, it is transformed into a magical and enchanting space.
The enormous crystal chandelier cast a soft yet dazzling light, like countless stars fallen to earth.
The portraits on the wall, which were originally solemn, now wore cheerful expressions and were whispering among themselves, as if they were also looking forward to the start of this grand ball.
The auditorium was surrounded by exquisite tables laden with a variety of delicious dishes and colorful magical desserts, all exuding an enticing aroma that mingled with the fragrance of flowers in the air, creating a captivating atmosphere.
The ceiling was enchanted, transforming into a vast starry sky, with shooting stars occasionally streaking across it, eliciting gasps of amazement from the girls.
As the melodious music slowly began to play, it was like a gentle breeze blowing into everyone's heart.
The music seemed to possess a magical power, gradually relaxing the students who were initially tense and shy. The music echoed in the auditorium, carrying an atmosphere of elegance and romance.
The professors were the first to enter.
Professor McGonagall wore a magnificent crimson robe embroidered with exquisite magical patterns, which seemed to come alive and shimmer with a mysterious light as she moved.
She moved with light steps and dignified bearing, a kind smile on her face as she nodded to the students around her.
Next came the four warriors and their dance partners.
Fleur Delacour and her dance partner were like a prince and princess straight out of a fairy tale.
Furong wore a white off-shoulder dress, studded with countless tiny diamonds, which sparkled with dazzling light with every step she took.
Her long, golden hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall, and she smiled elegantly, exuding French romantic charm in every gesture.
Victor Krum and Hermione also entered the Great Hall.
Hermione wore a blue silk dress that perfectly hugged her figure, showcasing her beauty and intelligence to the fullest.
Although Krum was slightly nervous, he held Hermione's hand tightly, as if declaring his happiness to the whole world.
Slightly nervous, Harry, dressed in a proper black evening suit, walked in hand in hand with a dance partner dressed in an exotic pink outfit.
The last two men walked in step, side by side, into the bustling hall. Instantly, the entire hall fell silent, and everyone's eyes turned to them.
The man in the white evening suit was like the dazzling sun in broad daylight.
The pure white dress was made of top-quality silk blend fabric, which was light yet crisp and structured, delicate and smooth, and reflected a soft halo under the lights.
The tailored fit hugged his athletic physique, with smooth and natural lines that flowed from his broad shoulders to his narrow waist and straight trousers, all showcasing sophistication and elegance.
The neckline of the garment features exquisite hand embroidery, with delicate silk threads outlining intricate and elegant patterns. The double-breasted design is simple yet sophisticated, with each button meticulously crafted from precious mother-of-pearl. Under the light of the fireplace flames, the buttons radiate a dreamlike iridescent glow, perfectly complementing the white of the coat and showcasing understated luxury.
A jade brooch, emerald green, adorned his collar. Its rich green hue echoed the undershirt, and its dazzling light added a touch of nobility and mystery to his appearance.
His hair was meticulously styled, his deep eyes were like azure lake water, exuding confidence and composure, and the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned, outlining a charming arc. Every step he took was light and steady.
The man beside him, dressed in a black evening suit, seemed like a mysterious ruler of the night.
The black dress was impeccably tailored, and the crisp fabric gleamed with a subtle yet luxurious sheen, like the deep ocean under the night sky.
His figure was outlined by the dim light, making him look like a nobleman from the Middle Ages.
The main body of the black silk fabric resembles a deep night sky, exuding a mysterious and captivating aura.
The unique luster of the finest silk shimmered slightly with his steps, as if countless tiny stars were hidden within it, each step exuding an indescribable elegance.
The dark green velvet collar is the most unique feature in this night sky.
The fine downy fur shimmers with a soft glow under the light, like a tranquil pool in an ancient forest, deep and full of life.
The velvet fabric hugged the lines of his neck, adding to his nobility and elegance.
The gold threads inlaid along the neckline shimmer in the light, like shooting stars twinkling in the night sky, instantly illuminating the entire scene and highlighting its exquisite luxury.
The dark green velvet trim on the cuffs echoes the collar, and the slightly fitted design perfectly showcases the lines of his arms.
The gold thread embroidery at the folds is exquisite and delicate, with every stitch telling a story of unparalleled craftsmanship.
With every gesture he made, the decorations on his cuffs swayed gently, like nimble sprites, adding an artistic touch to each of his movements.
The antique European-style patterns carved on the buttons are exquisite and meticulous, as if telling an ancient story and showcasing a profound cultural heritage.
The straight black silk trousers fit his leg lines perfectly, highlighting his long and straight legs.
The two walked in unison, their steps steady and powerful as they headed towards the center of the auditorium. Their perfect coordination was as if they had rehearsed countless times. The white and black colors formed a striking contrast, yet they achieved a perfect harmony through their mutual reflection.
Wherever they went, the air seemed to be stirred, and people unconsciously leaned back slightly to make way for them.
The witches' eyes gleamed with admiration, while the wizards cast admiring and praiseful glances.
Whispers spread through the crowd as people speculated about the identities of these two mysterious and dazzling men.
Other students also entered the auditorium in pairs.
Most of the boys wore sharp suits, while the girls wore all sorts of gorgeous dresses, some as red as fire, some as pink as the sunset, and some as blue as the sea, creating a vibrant and colorful scene, like a beautiful sea of flowers blooming in the auditorium.
Once everyone had entered, the music became even more cheerful and exciting.
"Now, let's invite the four warriors to perform the opening dance," Professor McGonagall announced.
The warriors, accompanied by their partners, were the first to step into the center of the dance floor and begin to dance.
Once we were all in position, everyone present realized that there was actually a pair of men standing together.
"Severus, can you dance? Do you need me to dance the female steps?" I smiled as I looked at Severus, who was holding my hand and had his arms wrapped around my waist. It was obvious that he wanted to dance the male steps.
What can you do with your loved one? Spoil them!
Our steps were light and skillful; we twirled and leaped, every movement brimming with energy and passion.
Inspired by us, other students also flocked to the dance floor, and the entire auditorium instantly transformed into a sea of joy.
Laughter and music mingled together, echoing in every corner of Hogwarts, officially opening the joyous and romantic prelude to the Triwizard Tournament ball.
After we finished our lead dance, we all took our partners and went to the drinks table to rest.
"Senior Ayers, aren't you going to introduce your dance partners?" Hermione and Krum stood at a nearby table, smiling as they looked in our direction.
“Yes, who is this? We’ve never seen him before,” Harry asked, standing with his dance partner.
“That’s right, Senior Ayers, aren’t you going to introduce us?” Ron casually danced a little, then led his dance partner to stand at Harry’s table.
"Hehe, I bet you'd never guess who this is." Fred, enjoying the spectacle, also came over with his dance partner.
"I'm afraid you'll be shocked when Ayers reveals who it is." George and Fred, who both knew the situation, watched the show with smiles.
"What are you chatting about? You seem to be having a good time." Cedric also came over, holding hands with his junior dance partner.
"Don't you think this looks familiar?" I mischievously kept telling them who it was, keeping it a riddle.
"There is a possibility, but I just don't know who it is." Hermione looked again more closely.
“Ms. Granger, isn’t it impolite of you to stare at a man like that?” Severus, who was finally standing next to me, said, feeling uncomfortable being stared at by Hermione.
"Oh no!" Hermione gasped, covering her mouth as she heard the familiar voice.
Harry and Ron stared wide-eyed at Severus beside me.
“Yes, he is Professor Snape, whom you all know.” I smiled at the surprised people who were unaware of the inside story.
Not only Harry's trio, but also the other dance partners who were unaware of the situation were surprised.
Then the young wizards, realizing what had happened, started discussing amongst themselves, never expecting that Professor Snape would look so handsome after his makeover.
“Only you, Ayers, could get Professor Snape as your dance partner,” Fred whispered in my ear.
“Ha, didn’t I tell you from the beginning who my dance partner was?” I said to Fred.
"You're really something." George genuinely admired Ayers.
"Thank you for the compliment," I said to George with a smile.
"Ayers, are you still going to dance? If not, I'll head back first. I don't really like such lively scenes," Severus whispered to me as the others were whispering among themselves.
"Okay, you go back first, I'll play a little longer." I'm the kind of person who sometimes likes quiet and sometimes likes excitement, and today I plan to play a little longer before going back.
"Hmm." Severus was a quiet person; he would rather brew more potions in the cellar than stay here any longer. If Ayers hadn't invited him to dance, he wouldn't have come at all.
After Severus left, Harry and Ron came over to chat with me. It seemed that Harry and Ron were rejected by their dance partners, who then abandoned them to go dancing.
Hermione was invited to dance again by Krim, while Fred and George, like Harry and the others, had their dance partners invited away by someone else.
Cedric, on the other hand, got along quite well with his junior from his college, but they maintained a slight distance and were simply chatting casually.
"Ayers, may I invite you to dance?" My thoughts were interrupted by the invitation as I was observing my surroundings.
“Percy, you’ve come to the ball too.” I turned around and saw it was Percy Weasley, and I looked at him happily.
“As a member of the Ministry of Magic, I was also invited to the Triwizard Tournament Ball. I just saw that your dance partner has left. May I ask you to dance for me?” Percy extended his right hand, waiting for my response.
“Of course, but I need you to do the women’s steps.” I responded by reaching out and taking Percy’s hand, and wrapping my other arm around his waist.
“Sure.” Percy put one hand on my shoulder and held my hand with the other.
And so, we both danced onto the dance floor again to the music of the ball.
"George, it seems we're a step behind Percy." Fred, whose dance partner had been sent away, was ready to come over and invite me to dance, but he didn't expect to be a step too slow and not as quick as his brother.
“Isn’t there another song? We still have a chance.” George’s eyes were fixed on Ayers’ direction, like a lion waiting for its prey.
“You’d better look away. Ayers is very perceptive; she’ll sense your stares immediately.” Cedric also shook off his dance partner; that junior was really troublesome.
