Chapter 10: The Score-Boosting Machine, and the Clueless Young Couple
(I've managed to write up to chapter ten after all the ups and downs. I'm planning to write some side stories about the couple's daily life in the next chapter as a reward for myself. I originally envisioned Cerberus being bitten by Spellcaster. Allie's character was originally supposed to be cold and aloof, but I couldn't bear to let her go, so I forced Allie into the story. I used Harry's injury to bring out Allie's mysterious little powder and pique Spellcaster's curiosity. I really don't know how to advance the plot ╥﹏╥)
"Mr. Thaddeus, what's the formula for the energizer?"
"Daisy root, fig peel, caterpillar, leech juice, mouse spleen."
"Very good, Slytherin gets five points." Snape nodded in satisfaction, glancing at Gryffindor beside him. "Mr. Ravel, are you trying to get the old professor to pay you back for not taking notes? Gryffindor loses five points."
"Alright, look at the blackboard, turn to page 342, and hand in two doses of the potion in pairs before the end of get out of class."
Demian would stick to Emerick during Potions class. Unless Professor Snape was in a bad mood, he wouldn't scold Emerick. If Emerick made a mistake next to him, he could save him before the professor saw it. Every class, the routine was to call on him to answer questions and get extra points, which made the seats around Emerick the most desirable.
"Gryffindor loses five points for disrespecting the professor."
"Why can't they learn properly? Professor McGonagall is furious. The hourglass is empty after only a few days of school." Demian said gleefully, nudging Emeric to look at Soramia next door.
"Quickly, stop watching the commotion! Be careful the professor comes over; don't blame me if you get yelled at." Why do some people watch the spectacle without considering the situation? What if they get unlucky from being too gloating? Emeric grabbed Demian's sleeve, forcing him to turn around and handle the herbs.
Amidst cries of "Gryffindor, deduct five points!", he and Demian happily finished the potion. Watching others suffer is truly delightful!
After class, the two of them prepared to go to the library to write their papers. Emerick couldn't understand why professors liked to assign papers so much; couldn't they just give them hands-on assignments instead?
Demian almost fell asleep while writing, his head nodding off. Before he hit the table, Emeric sprinkled some water on him. He hadn't finished his homework and couldn't be kicked out by Mrs. Pins.
Emeric was focused on finishing his assignments, otherwise he wouldn't have time to stroll through the Forbidden Forest at night. Suddenly, he felt someone sit down next to him.
Looking up, I saw Harry. I looked around but couldn't find Draco. Just then, Harry handed me a note: "Last night, Ron and Hermione went out for a walk without Draco. He's angry. Brother Ellie, can you take me to him? He won't see me."
Emeric wrote: "After I ask Draco, and since this is a conflict between you two, it's not appropriate for me to interfere. If I remember correctly, you've had several classes together, so you can apologize now. Of course, you can bring Draco some snacks; I can give you those."
After thinking about it, he decided it was best to refuse. He took out some of Draco's favorite food and gave it to Harry so he could use it as an apology. He then casually wrapped it into a bouquet of flowers and handed it to Harry, since his father and father would secretly ask him to wrap flowers for them every day.
As Draco's good older brother, of course he had to go see why his cute little brother was unhappy; he definitely wasn't there to watch the drama unfold.
After asking several people, we finally found Draco under a tree by the Black Lake. "Dragon, why are you here all alone? Isn't Harry with you?"
Sunlight spilled across the water, a gentle breeze ruffled Draco's hair, and he angrily threw pebbles into the lake. "He's not my friend, I don't need him around."
"Oh, then, would you like to have a picnic with me, dear Draco? I brought lots of delicious food, and the weather is perfect for a picnic." In no time, the picnic mat was covered with a jumble of food, and she casually picked up a piece of strawberry cake and put it in his hand.
"What happened? I'd love to hear it if you'd like to tell me."
Draco ate his cake viciously. "He went on a night out without me. He'd rather call Weasley than take me. He might as well be friends with someone else."
He thought something serious had happened, but after comparing their testimonies, it really was just this little thing. Emeric was silent for a moment; he really shouldn't deal with adults. He had no intention of helping Harry appease people; logically, they should have found him by now, even if they were slow.
Emeric listened to Draco berate Harry, and waited for Harry to come over so he could run away. These two clearly had feelings for each other, so why was he tormenting him?
Merlin heard Emeric's prayer, and just as he was about to desperately try to escape, Harry finally arrived. He was carrying a bouquet of snacks for him, and a rose?
Upon seeing the roses, Emerick felt he could slow down and secretly take out his magic camera to take pictures, intending to send them over to Malfoy later when he tried to steal business from him.
"Draco, I'm sorry. I went out too late last night, and I was afraid you wouldn't sleep well, so I didn't dare wake you. Besides, I don't have the Slytherin password. Here, these are all your favorite treats, don't be angry." Harry said, handing over the treats. "I found out you like roses, but I didn't dare buy too many because there's no room for flowers in the dorm."
He'd been hoping for nothing; he'd thought they'd confess their feelings, but it turned out neither of them had gotten it yet. Emerich angrily took a big bite of his biscuit and told Harry to sit down and eat too.
