Chapter 97 Kitty Mimi
Chapter 97 Kitty Mimi
"Mimi meow meow." It's all Lupin's fault.
"Uh-huh."
"Meow." Then give me a kiss.
"Uh-huh."
Severus held the cat in his left arm and graded homework with his right, occasionally giving perfunctory answers. As expected, Emeric finished grading and went back to the cellar to find him. The moment he saw him, he turned into a cat and climbed up his legs into his lap.
Sensing Severus's perfunctory attitude, Emeric angrily poked him with his horn, but the round, chubby little horn posed no threat whatsoever.
"Stop it, it itches."
The man gently patted the cat's head to stop it from moving around, as its horns were scratching it and it was itchy. The kitten, annoyed, climbed off his lap onto the table and sat on the parchment, blocking his view completely.
"Meow!!!" You don't even care about me!!!
"Get out of the way, these need to be approved tonight."
"Meow!!!" I'm angry!!!
The man, who couldn't understand the cat's language, reached out, picked it up, and threw it on the ground. He had a lot of homework to grade and didn't have time to deal with this fussy little cat.
"Severus, don't you feel sorry for me at all?!"
Enraged, Emeric transformed into a human and hugged Severus, standing between him and the homework, forcing Severus to look up and meet his gaze.
"Get out of my way since you just got injured today, or I'll yell at you."
Severus's eyes and tone were indifferent, devoid of any emotion, only filled with resentment towards his work. He was nearly driven mad by these little fools; if Emerick still didn't know better, he'd better join in the criticism and not just sit idly by.
"My chest hurts, you can't yell at me."
"I remember... you injured your last rib, right? Why does your chest hurt? Hmm?"
Severus finished speaking very slowly, his eyes rising to meet Severus's gaze as his tone intensified.
"Of course my heart will hurt if you ignore me. I'll help you with the approvals so we can finish quickly and get some rest."
Sensing the threat in the man's words, Emeric immediately backed down, obediently giving up his seat and sitting down to work alongside him, afraid of being thrown out if he was even a little late.
Tonight they could finally go to bed early, finishing all the corrections before ten o'clock. Seeing that Severus didn't mention telling him to go back to sleep, Emeric was happy to pretend he didn't know.
He continued to try to seduce the wood with his alluring charm, only to fail once again. Severus felt even more sorry for his wooden floor.

"My back is killing me..."
"Yes, yes, right there... Gail, give me another squeeze."
"Airi is going too far! Can't he be a little more considerate of older people? Why doesn't your back hurt?"
Dumbledore rubbed his lower back in pain; the anti-aging potion he had taken had worn off yesterday, and he was now sore all over, taking a whole day to recover.
"I told you a long time ago not to bring the werewolf in. Ellie can jump up and down. He hates having uncontrollable dangerous factors around him. Al, you never listen to me."
Gellert, his face cold, massaged Dumbledore's back. After all, he was the one who had caused this trouble; he had a premonition that this would happen, and look what happened. After two days of the medication taking effect, the little brat was truly angry this time.
By the time the two felt a little better, it was already afternoon. Emeric also happened to appear in the principal's office, having timed it perfectly to be the first to complain.
"Gellert, I was bullied by Professor Lupin. He made Neville's Boggart, which is me, dress as a woman in class."
The short sentence contained a lot of information, and neither Dumbledore nor Gellert could react. They looked at each other and saw doubt in each other's eyes.
"Allie, slow down. What do you mean by wearing women's clothing in class? I don't quite understand." Dumbledore genuinely didn't understand, and he asked again.
"You can call him over and confront him face to face."
He found a comfortable spot to settle down, watching Fox fly out and come back, and even started drinking tea with great interest.
Before long, footsteps came from the doorway, and the other protagonist they were waiting for appeared.
"Principal, is there something you need from me?"
Lupin felt that apart from a minor mistake on the first day, his teaching had been quite good these past two days, and that the problem shouldn't have made Dumbledore wait two more days to contact him.
"Remus, please sit down. Allie said there was a minor disagreement between you two, and I'd like to hear your side of the story." Dumbledore gestured for Lupin to sit down. He needed testimonies from both sides to reach a conclusion. After being tricked by Emeric so many times, he had learned to listen to both sides' conclusions.
"Isn't this all in the past? Why are you going back on your word?"
"You were the one who wanted to embarrass Severus, not me!"
"Wait, how come Severus is involved here?"
Dumbledore interrupted them, finally understanding why Emeric had made such a scene, even to his face. It was to vent Severus's anger, hoping Emeric didn't know about the injustice he had committed, otherwise he suspected the headmaster's office would be turned upside down.
"That's not important; Severus has already forgiven him. My question now is, why teach Boggarts to imagine people as the source of their fear, and why dress them in women's clothing? Is this an insult to his grandmother, or an insult to me?"
One accusation after another was slapped on Lupin's head. He didn't know what to say to convince Dumbledore that he really didn't mean it. Years of living away from people had made him a bit tongue-tied.
He could only say that he didn't mean it, pale and powerless, just like the prank they played on Severus years ago, which nearly injured him and left him helpless.
"Albus, here's my problem. You figure it out." With that, Emeric turned and left. He wasn't there to argue; he was just there to disgust people.
Moreover, his original goal was not to drive Lupin out. He wanted Lupin to see with his own eyes that Severus was not sinking into a quagmire but was instead doing better and better. This was the best revenge against the bully.
No matter how pitiful a person is, it is not a reason for him to bully others. He can protect himself as a bystander, but he cannot become a shield and expect the victim to forgive him.
Emeric didn't care what happened next. He had already made his position clear: let Dumbledore do whatever he wanted. He was going to go back to the cellar and make his presence felt, hoping to win Severus's favor.
"Severus, I'm back!"
"Huh? Why isn't he here again? Sigh... I'll clean up first. I haven't had time to clean since I got back."
Although house-elves regularly clean the cabinet, no one dares to touch Severus's potions cabinet except for Emeric, who, relying on his good looks, occasionally gropes the tiger's whiskers.
He replenished some nearly empty materials, shook off the dust that seemed to have come from nowhere, and replaced the old storage bottles. He worked with great enthusiasm.
"Where have you been?"
"What's wrong, Severus? I'm having a heart-to-heart talk with Albus."
"No wonder the old bee was having a heart-to-heart talk with me. It was you who did this. All this homework is yours. Hurry up and grade it. I have to go do my experiment."
Severus was disgusted by Dumbledore for a while, and in his anger, he threw all his homework at Emeric, completely ignoring the culprit.
