Chapter 33 Moon Spirit
Chapter 33 Moon Spirit
Ignoring the restrictions on the library door, Landric walked in eagerly yet hesitantly.
The moment the oak door closed behind him, Landric heard the twins' boots slam against the door.
I just wanted to test it out, but it turned out to be true; the restriction couldn't control him!
In an instant, Landric felt a sudden, unexpected, dull pain strike his heart.
His guess in the Transfiguration class was correct. His soul was still a moon spirit…it was indeed a surprise…
Under the hazy moonlight, the ripples in Landric's eyes were exceptionally clear, and his face contained too many indescribable emotions.
"Hahahaha..." Landric suddenly wanted to laugh, but the laughter got stuck in his throat and turned into continuous sobs.
"Brother... look, the thing you've been longing for has obediently followed me even after I was reincarnated, hahaha..."
Brother, I will get my revenge...

Inappropriate emotions had clouded Landric's mental clarity; he pressed his temples, trying to suppress them.
He chuckled ironically. He really had to thank the love potion Snape drank in this life, which had calmed his emotions. Otherwise, he wouldn't have needed to do anything tonight; he could have just spent the whole night lost in thought.
Landric felt as if he had been torn into two people, one clear-headed and rational, the other drowning in shadows.
Ultimately, the brain forced reason to take over, and realizing that it would be too late if they didn't act now, they began to take action to find the forbidden book section.
Based on his memory, Landric thought of the place he had passed with Hermione earlier that day, and followed the guidance of his memory to that place.
Moonlight streamed in obliquely through the stained glass, casting fragmented blue-purple spots of light at his feet. The air in the restricted section was thicker than he had imagined, carrying the bitter, musty smell of parchment.
The bookshelf twisted in the darkness, the silver light of the chain spell winding around the wood grain like veins.
Landric's fingertips brushed against the edge of the third row of bookshelves, then he suddenly withdrew his hand—the chains were secreting some kind of transparent viscous fluid, binding the spine of "Forbidden Chapters of Alchemy" to the other half of "Deciphering Cutting-Edge Black Magic" into a symbiotic entity.
Sparks flew from the tip of the "Diffindo" wand, but the chains deflected the spell onto the ceiling.
Half of the gargoyle relief's face was smashed, and as the rubble fell, Landric, truly disgusted by the trouble, raised his hand and used "Restore to Original State" to restore the statue on the ceiling, afraid that someone would notice something was wrong.
"Tsk," Landric thought, feeling a bit of a headache. How could he break these forbidden spells?
Landric was somewhat lost in thought, frowning as he straightened his clothes. Not long ago, the twins had left some filth there.
Wait! Gemini?
Landric suddenly remembered the twins' mention of "misjudgment," "A confusion spell?"
Sure enough, this pair of twins are no ordinary people. It seems they're also part of the nighttime investigative team, otherwise they wouldn't know so much.
"If only we could get our hands on the tracking gadgets from those two red-haired moles."
Landric genuinely thought that thing was useful. Although he didn't even glance at it in front of the twins, he was actually quite envious of the gadget.
Looking at the two books joined together in front of him, Landric touched his neck. He pulled open the collar of his school robe, revealing a snake-shaped silver chain hanging around his neck.
The emerald snake's eyes gleamed in the moonlight. His mother had given him this when he started school, saying it was found in the manor's library and had been passed down from some ancestor, though he didn't know which one. Landric didn't yet fully understand its purpose.
But it's enough for now!
The moment the silver chain was attached to the chain spell, all the bookshelves seemed to groan in pain, and the iron chains retreated into the cracks in the wall like the receding tide.
Suddenly, a heavy thud was heard outside the door.
"Damn it! George, you've got slime on you!"
"Shut up, Fred, you're stepping on my boots!"
Landric's lips twitched. These two red-haired weasels actually tried to cross the forbidden book zone's security, and they even seemed to have fallen. Unreliable!
He quickly pulled out the target book, the yellowed pages were rapidly turned, and the wand swiftly copied the contents of the book.
Landric's wand tip moved swiftly between the pages, and the ink on the parchment solidified rapidly as if by a quick-drying spell.
As the last character was copied, he keenly caught the sound of fabric rubbing against the door—the twins clearly hadn't learned how to fall quietly yet.
"Colloportus." He whispered the library lock spell, and as he shoved the forbidden book back onto the shelf, a strange light flashed in his emerald snake eyes.
The iron chains, forced back by the silver chains, were now protruding from the cracks in the wall, their barbs twisting and writhing like enraged creatures.
"Looks like I should bring a cauldron next time to collect some slime." He muttered as he rolled the copied parchment into a thin tube and stuffed it into the wand handle. As he turned around, he happened to see George Weasley's red hair swaying in the crack of the door.
"Merlin's briefs!" Fred's curse suddenly rose. "George, your hair's been curled by a lock-on curse!"
Landric almost caught the twins as they fell off the doorframe the moment he pushed the door open—what a close call!
Fred's glasses were askew on his nose, George's hair on the left side stood up like a hedgehog, and both of their school uniforms were stained with suspicious silvery slime.
Landric felt that he would be doing a disservice to their appearance if he didn't make a sarcastic remark at this moment.
He reached out and grabbed Fred by the back of his collar, then tapped George's head lightly with his wand, causing the tuft of red hair that had been sticking up to fall back down.
"By Merlin!" George stroked his hair, now restored to its original state. "Did you just use a flawless healing spell?"
"No," Landric said expressionlessly, tearing the sticky substance off his sleeve, "it's a Confusion Charm."
The two people in front of me gave me a thumbs up. Very strong!
Fred suddenly leaned close to Landric's collar, his nose almost touching Landric's cheek. "You smell wonderful, like a fairy."
George chimed in knowingly, "I bet this tastes like ten silver scimitars—" His wand suddenly poked Landric's side, "Don't move, you've got slime on the back of your neck."
Landric froze on the spot, the cold tip of his cane sliding along his spine.
"Why are you trembling?" Fred's warm breath brushed against Landric's collarbone, his fingers hooking the loose collar of Landric's school uniform. "Are you ticklish?" The silver chain slipped out of the collar as he pulled, the snake pendant slightly warm between Fred's fingers.
Landric was angry; he thought they were being unreasonable. "Don't touch me!"
George suddenly whistled a different tune.
The detached slime was writhing in his palm, gradually solidifying into a heart shape. "Looks like slime is more romantic than us."
"Are you being polite?" Landric's wand suddenly buzzed, and the sound of chains rewinding echoed from the depths of the forbidden section.
"Wait, don't speak, listen," Fred suddenly tensed up.
"Filch's cat is on the third floor! Let's go!"
The twins simultaneously grabbed Landric's shoulders, turned around, and led Landric into a secret passage, delivering him to the Slytherin entrance.
"Hey, little snake, see you next time."
"No more visits! Retrieve will incur a charge!"
"Hiss, as expected, beauties are all ruthless."
Landric: So annoying.
Not wanting to interact with the twins any longer, he glanced at them listlessly, then turned and went into Slytherin.
