The woman heard the call and looked up in disbelief. When she saw Talos, she froze, and tears streamed down her face.
"Talos!"
"Daddy!" The seven or eight-year-old girl in her arms also saw Talos and let out a surprised scream.
Talos could no longer control himself. He stumbled and crawled to the portal of light, reaching out his hand to touch the family he had been longing for day and night.
In this chaotic yet touching moment of reunion, Chu Hang's gaze bypassed them and precisely locked onto the little girl's arms.
There, an orange cat was lazily yawning. It looked like an ordinary domestic cat, with glossy fur, a plump figure, and a look in its eyes that carried a hint of languor and disdain typical of felines.
Chu Hang slowly stood up and walked towards the little girl.
His actions instantly tensed the family who had just reunited. So La immediately shielded his daughter, Ellu, behind him, blocking Chu Hang's view with his body, and watched this unfathomable man warily.
"Don't be afraid." Chu Hang gave a friendly smile. "I'm just looking at your pet. It's very cute."
Ailu was a little scared and hugged the orange cat in her arms even tighter.
The orange cat seemed to sense something too. It was no longer lazy; its round eyes stared warily at Chu Hang, and it growled softly. But the sound caused the surrounding air to vibrate slightly.
Chu Hang didn't stop. He walked up to the little girl, ignoring her mother's anxious gaze, and slowly reached out to stroke the orange cat's head.
Ronan's countdown continues, like a drumbeat striking everyone's heart.
Just as Chu Hang's fingers were about to touch the orange cat, the cat suddenly bristled! It opened its mouth wide, but what was revealed was not ordinary teeth and tongue, but an abyss that seemed to connect to another dimension, filled with countless slippery tentacles and sharp teeth!
A powerful spatial repulsion force erupted from it, attempting to push Chu Xing away. That force was pure and instinctive, like the repulsion of like poles in a magnet, defying all reason.
"interesting."
Chu Hang chuckled softly. A barely perceptible, constantly distorting spatial barrier covered his palm, easily neutralizing the repulsive force. His hand continued forward without pausing.
Finally, it landed steadily on the orange cat's fluffy head.
A vast and exquisite flow of information instantly flooded into his mind.
It was a completely new way of understanding space. If his previous control over space involved using immense force to forcibly distort and tear it apart, like a savage demolition crew, then now he had learned how to "weave" space, how to "fold" one space and stuff it into another.
It's a skill, a talent, an innate instinct.
He felt a strange connection between a part of his body and an invisible, intangible, independent dimension. He could open or close the entrance to that dimension with just a thought.
A perfect pocket space.
Ronan's countdown has ended.
"Purification...begins."
As his icy voice fell, hundreds of launch ports slid open on both sides of the flagship "Dark Star," which resembled a mountain range. There were no energy beams, no laser cannons; instead, they fired massive, destructive physical warheads.
The standard weapon of the Kree Empire – the "Arbiter" kinetic impact projectile.
These warheads struck the Mar-a-Lago space station at near-light speed.
The space station's energy shield lit up instantly, like a giant blue bubble enveloping the entire station. The first wave of impact blasts struck the shield, creating violent ripples of energy. The shield held for less than half a second before shattering with a piercing scream.
"boom--!!!"
The violent explosion instantly engulfed everything.
The entire space station was shaking violently, as if it were about to disintegrate at any moment. Huge, spiderweb-like cracks appeared on the laboratory's dome, and countless metal fragments and equipment rained down from the ceiling.
The Skrull refugees screamed in despair, and the scene instantly spiraled out of control.
"Protect the civilians!" Carol roared, immediately flying towards the dome and using her body and energy to try to plug the ever-widening cracks.
Talos also tried desperately to organize his people to escape, but his strength alone seemed insignificant in the face of such a huge disaster.
In the entire laboratory, only one person remained standing in place, seemingly detached from the situation.
Chu Hang withdrew his hand from stroking the orange cat and slowly straightened up. He glanced at Carol, who was struggling to hold on, then at the Skrulls who were in chaos and despair, and finally, his gaze fell on the Tesseract, which was still suspended in mid-air and emitting a ghostly blue light.
"It's time to clear the area," he muttered to himself.
He raised his right hand and opened his palm.
Instead of light or energy, a constantly spinning black vortex appeared in his palm. The vortex was bottomless, seemingly connected to the end of the universe, emanating a chilling suction force.
S-rank ability, Subspace Stomach Pouch, activated.
"Everyone go in."
His voice wasn't loud, but it reached everyone's ears clearly.
The Skrulls were stunned. They stared in horror at the vortex that resembled a black hole, and dared not approach it.
Talos was the first to react. He looked at Chu Hang, his eyes filled with unspeakable awe and a last glimmer of hope. He shoved his wife and daughter aside and roared, "Quick! Go inside! Trust him!"
Sola hesitated for a moment, but still, holding her daughter, she was the first to rush into the vortex. The instant they touched the vortex, their figures were elongated and distorted, and then vanished without a trace.
Once the first one appeared, a second one followed suit. The rest of the Skrulls rushed towards Chu Hang's palm, disappearing one after another into the small black vortex.
The scene was utterly bizarre. Hundreds of living people were being "eaten" into the palm of a man's hand.
In just over ten seconds, all the Skrull refugees in the entire laboratory, along with the orange cat, were taken into Chu Hang's "pocket dimension".
After doing all this, Chu Hang turned his gaze to Carol, who was still struggling to hold up the dome.
"You go in too," he commanded. "Take them and find a safe place to stay."
"And what about you?" Carol shouted, turning around. The crack in the dome behind her was widening, revealing the cold universe and the Kree fleet outside. "Let's go together!"
"Me?" Chu Hang laughed. "I need to have a good chat with this accuser who has come from afar, and teach him what hospitality is all about."
He didn't give Carroll a chance to refute him at all.
With a flick of his left hand, an invisible spatial force instantly locked onto the giant cosmic cube, detaching it from the restraint device and shrinking it into a fist-sized ball of light that flew into his palm.
Immediately afterwards, he made a fist in the air with his right hand, facing Carol's direction.
Carol felt the space around her suddenly tighten, an irresistible force binding her tightly, and then she was violently pulled backward. Before she could even cry out, she was involuntarily thrown backward toward Chu Hang, and together with the Cosmic Cube, she was stuffed into that black vortex.
The vortex slowly closed, and Chu Hang's palm returned to normal.
The whole world fell silent instantly.
All that remains is the piercing alarm sounding as the space station teeters on the brink of disintegration.
"Boom——!!!"
Another salvo precisely struck the space station's engine area. The massive explosion completely destroyed the space station's structural balance. The laboratory's enormous transparent dome could no longer hold and shattered completely in a deafening roar.
The violent airflow instantly swept up all the scattered items in the laboratory and threw them into the cold vacuum.
Chu Hang stood motionless in the eye of the storm.
Vacuum, weightlessness, low temperature... these environments, which are enough to kill any carbon-based life instantly, are like a gentle spring breeze to him.
He slowly raised his head and looked through the shattered dome at the black warship that blotted out the sky.
On the bridge of the Dark Star, Ronan was frowning as he looked at the monitor screen.
“Sir,” a Kree officer reported, “the target energy signals… have all disappeared. Including the Tesseract.”
"Disappeared?" For the first time, Ronan's face showed confusion. "Scan the entire star field! They couldn't have vanished into thin air!"
“Sir…” another officer pointed to the main screen, his voice trembling slightly, “Look over there.”
Ronan turned his gaze to the main screen.
In the center of the wrecked space station, riddled with holes and constantly flaming, a tiny human figure floats silently in space.
He wasn't wearing any spacesuit and was exposed to the vacuum.
He looked up, seemingly noticing their gaze, then raised a hand and casually waved it in the direction of the Dark Star.
Chu Hang stretched his neck, producing a series of crisp cracking sounds from his bones.
"Alright, the miscellaneous fish are all cleaned up."
He looked at the enormous thing in front of him and a relaxed smile appeared on his face.
"Now it is your turn."
Chapter 80 Heavenly Father (End of the Captain Shock Chapter)
On the bridge of the Dark Star, Ronan stared at the main screen.
On the screen, the figure floating in space was as small as a speck of dust.
The Kree officers around him were deathly silent. Even breathing had ceased. Hundreds of lifelines vanished into thin air, targets could not be locked onto—all of this shattered everything they had learned at military school.
“He…he’s waving at us?” A young officer’s voice was dry, as if he had swallowed a mouthful of sand.
That movement, though light and airy, was like a red-hot iron rod that pierced Ronan's heart.
He made the most blatant provocation when facing the Kree Empire's most powerful Accuser fleet alone.
"The entire fleet, all units." Ronan's voice was low, like two pieces of metal rubbing together. "Target, that man. Free fire. Wipe him out of this universe!"
The Dark Star, along with dozens of escort ships around it, recharged all their still-warm weapon systems. Energy cannons, missile launchers, kinetic impact cannons... hundreds and thousands of dark muzzles were simultaneously aimed at that lone figure.
The next second, an energy storm powerful enough to completely flatten the planet's surface tore through the vacuum.
A dense barrage of beams of light and missiles formed an unstoppable torrent of death, surging towards Chu Hang from all directions.
Despite the devastating scene, Chu Hang's smile remained unchanged.
He simply raised his hands slowly, as if to embrace the magnificent fireworks display.
Then, something strange happened.
Within a radius of several hundred meters around his body, space began to distort in a visible way. It was not a violent tearing, but a smooth, rhythmic curvature, like invisible ripples spreading out when a stone is thrown into a calm lake.
The first beam of energy shot into the area. Its trajectory was slightly altered, grazing Chu Hang's body as it flew into the distant deep space.
Then came the second, the third, and hundreds and thousands of others.
All attacks, whether energy cannons or physical missiles, were dragged onto an invisible track after entering this warp space. Their paths were forcibly deflected and bent, bypassing Chu Hang, who was located at the center of the storm.
There was no explosion, no impact, no sound.
From the bridge of the Dark Star, it looked like a magnificent meteor shower, and Chu Hang was the star that attracted countless stars to orbit around him.
"Report! All attacks... all missed!" The weapons officer's voice was filled with shock and confusion. "The target's position hasn't moved, but our weapons can't hit it! The lock-on system has completely failed!"
