Chapter 879 The Final Battle Against Ultron
Chapter 879 The Final Battle Against Ultron
Chapter 879 The Final Battle Against Ultron (Part 2)
While the Avengers raided S.W.A.R., leaving wave after wave of people to hold off the pursuers and advance into the control room, Thor was fighting Kang the Ultron in the skies above the Inhuman city of Attila.
He had lost count of how many Kangs he had killed.
"How pathetic, Kang. In any case, you were once a tyrant, at least possessing your own ambition and arrogance. But now? You're nothing but a puppet!"
Thor's hammer struck Kang's body, and Kang was subsequently annihilated by the power of lightning. Immediately afterward, another Kang appeared on the field. Thor hurled his hammer, which struck Kang, but Kang stopped it with a force field powered by futuristic technology. He retrieved his hammer, not engaging in further combat, and instead handed the battlefield over to his teammates.
As soon as Thor left, a terrifying shockwave accompanied by a sound struck Kang, the Ultron, who was not far away. It created ripples in Kang's protective field before gradually weakening. Then Thor found another opportunity and smashed his hammer into Kang's head, sending his head flying.
But another Kang soon appeared.
To stop all this, the spacetime engine within the Sky Sword Bureau undoubtedly needs to be destroyed. Thor also tried to shatter the entire Sky Sword Bureau, but the Sky Sword Bureau's defensive capabilities are far stronger than those of a single Kang, and its force field cannot be penetrated.
Just as Thor continued this seemingly endless battle, the Ultron Lords floating around him, constantly releasing Ultron robots and Ultron Kang, all began to explode. Thor looked around and saw that the giant pillars disappeared in a flash. Then, a young man wearing a golden battle suit floated out from among them. Thor was quite pleased to see him: "Ah, it's Robert. It seems you have overcome your fear."
"Uh, not really." Bob scratched his head and looked at the Sky Sword Bureau mothership in the distance. "The captain and the others should still be fighting over there. Shall we go check it out?"
"Of course, the Son of Odin will not miss any battle for honor."
"Don't waste time on them, our target is the control room!"
The captain roared as he grabbed one of Ultron's necks and twisted it in two. He threw the remains of Ultron on the ground, and then another group of people surged forward.
While using bio-electric attacks on what were essentially useless targets, the little wasp asked its captain, "Why don't you just teleport us into the control room? Wouldn't that solve the problem immediately?"
"Because Spider-Man has never been inside the control room, and the slingshot can only take you to places you've seen or can only imagine," T'Challa explained after knocking away an Ultron robot. "You can't simply say you found Spider-Man." Opening two portals to a place you've never seen before doesn't make sense.
"—Are you really going to reason with magic, T'Challa?"
The surrounding enemies were no longer the scarab robots, but a large number of Ultron robots. These enemies would not use lethal force against the Avengers, but could use various non-lethal forces.
For example, the sonic cannon and the Taser gun are actually not very harmful, but they mainly rely on sheer numbers to stop everyone, as well as the occasional appearance of time-limited technology and static fields to prevent everyone from advancing.
While it doesn't possess much destructive power, it's truly disgusting. Fortunately, so far, Ultron hasn't been able to modify or break through its own underlying code, preventing it from harming humans, which is why everyone has been able to continue advancing in this way.
However, it seemed that no one else in the team could resist the nanobots' modifications, giving everyone time. After looking around, Crystal tentatively suggested, "How about I transform into pure element and fight these robots while you guys go deal with Ultron?"
"Perhaps it's possible, but—" the captain interrupted his teammates before finishing, "Did you hear that crackling sound?"
A flash of lightning illuminated the corridor, striking almost every corner before precisely bypassing everyone and hitting only the Ultron robots. Then, Thor and Bob appeared at the other end of the corridor, Thor raising his hammer and roaring, "Avengers! Attack!"
"Thank you, Thor, but Spider-Man and the others are still fighting enemies elsewhere. Could you go pick them up?"
"No problem, Steve, Robert, protect everyone."
Thor raised his hammer and flew off, Bob nodded and returned to the team. At that moment, Tony also communicated with the captain.
"I have good news for you, Captain. Magneto has finally taken care of the original model and all the Sentinel robots crawling around. He's now shut down the global network—although it was a few hours slower than planned, the plan still went smoothly."
The captain nodded, then seemed to realize something: "I guess he didn't notify the other countries beforehand."
"The Avengers have notified him, but there are definitely still many problems. In short, Ultron is now only in S.W.O.R.D. and Attila's network. Good luck to you."
The captain shut down communications, and they quickly stormed to the door of the control room. The captain took the lead and kicked open the door. Inside stood a winged Ultron, seemingly waiting for their arrival. Behind Ultron was a massive central computer connected to all the programs of the Sky Sword Bureau.
Ah, Captain America, you've finally come this far.
Ultron seemed completely unsurprised as he looked at the captain and the others. The captain took a deep breath and said, "It's all over, Ultron. You've run out of options."
I don't think so, Captain. We actually have plenty of time to waste.
As he spoke, Ao Chuang raised his hand, and for a moment the entire central control computer itself became illusory:
This computer has now transcended this point in time; it exists both in the present and does not exist in the present. In other words, we have an infinite amount of time to discuss this issue.
"This doesn't mean I can't access the system, Ultron."
Vision looked at Ultron, who was momentarily confused about what Vision was joking about. But suddenly, information about two people appeared in Ultron's database.
He turned around and saw Gwen and Katie, who had been "ignored" all along and had been acting independently ever since they entered the Sky Sword Bureau.
