Chapter 747 Guess
Chapter 747 Guess
After thinking for a long while, Rain didn't come up with any solution to the problem of the sea folk and the ocean covered in dust. Seara had to help him with that, and together, they brainstormed some ideas.
Naturally, a bunch of the sea folk had to help with that to make things feasible. With that in mind, they considered a bunch of things. Creating wind walls above the underwater capital to make them receive sunlight after two weeks without it, but it would be one heck of wind walls since they had to reach beyond the dust clouds.
Rain couldn't create relics of that level since the limits of the relics were his own skills.
In the end, they decided to go by making earth walls... the sea folk would summon them and make them get over each other with multi-layers of them from the bottom of the ocean until it could reach beyond the dust clouds. Some dust would still fall from it, but it was better than nothing. They wouldn't be able to live in the area without protection, but that was another temporary measure.
"... I suppose that is the best option that we have," Seadrei said while showing an expression of exhaustion since he had to work for several days nonstop. "You have our gratitude."
"Don't thank me yet. This is only a temporary solution. I want a complete solution," Rain said.
Rain began to work on making the rings and in no time, the sea folk began to work on the walls. At the same time, Rain finally reached one of his short term goals.
The Adept Crafter path leveled up.
Level 50: Artistic Versatility - Crafters enhance their ability to adapt to different styles, techniques, and customer preferences, providing a 5% speed bonus to tasks outside their specialization per level. They become versatile and well-rounded artisans.@@@@

"Wouldn't it be easier to try to use these towers as well?" Seara asked. "If we have to keep people there to feed them with magic all the time..."
"We would have to employ a stupid ammount of people for that since we would need to cover our entire borders and coasts," Rain explained. "I suppose we can take it slowly and give hope to everyone, but I want to focus on understanding how the spells work to drain mana from the environment."
"Why?" Seara asked. "Why don't solve the problem by parts like usual?"
"Because by doing so, we will be able to counter the dungeons as well," Rain said. "If we create a magic circle more powerful, the dungeons won't be able to grow like before."
Terra and Seara widened their eyes in astonishment upon hearing this uplifting news. The prospect of being able to alleviate the ongoing issue caused by the dungeons filled them with immense relief. For so long, the dungeon crises had been a constant problem, disrupting the stability of the kingdom.
They understood the significance of Rain's plan and the potential positive impact it would have on the entire population. This newfound hope inspired Terra and Seara to envision a future where the kingdom could thrive peacefully.
"After five years, we are finally about to learn how that fucker was able to create anti magic barriers... he sure was a few years ahead of us in terms of knowledge," Rain said and then sighed. "As much as I feel annoyed by assuming that."
"We will be able to use that against the magic people at least?" Terra asked.
"I highly doubt it," Rain shook his head. "Remember that they could use magic? The special soldiers. My guess is that the barriers won't cancel each other, so everyone will be able to use mana... or in the worst case scenario, the guy helping them knows a way to counter it."
"As usual, you always stick to the worst-case scenario..." Terra shrugged. "... Wait, what if you add all of your magic knowledge into a gem? Can't that cancel the effects of magic inside a barrier?"
