“Found it.” Gilles de Rais’s words were quite astonishing.
Even in official history, this Luoyan City manual was not something you could just pick up on the roadside.
Seeing the two men's strong skepticism, Gilles de Rais explained:
"It was indeed found, or rather, it was someone's belongings, which I kept for myself."
"Hmm, but your attitude just now seemed to suggest that you wouldn't mind dying without obtaining the Holy Grail, so why don't you commit suicide?"
Matouchi couldn't verify the truth of Gilles de Rais's words, so he had no choice but to continue trying to figure out his purpose.
"Life and death are not something I can decide for myself. Ever since I picked up this book, it has been influencing my mind and driving me gradually insane. The magic that keeps me alive is supplied by it. Under the coercion of the consciousness in this book, I cannot take my own life!"
Gilles de Rais spoke more and more, his speech became faster and faster, his pupils gradually dilated, his rationality seemed to be gradually decreasing, and his madness was gradually rising. At this moment, he finally resembled a bit of the Berserker.
"Throw the book over here and let me see."
Without hesitation, Gilles de Rais threw the book between the three men.
Matou Ike turned to Caster and gestured.
Caster first covered the book with a barrier, and then applied several layers of protective magic to himself before picking up the strange book.
"There is indeed a consciousness within this book, but I have sealed it away for now."
"This book has taken over the role of the Master, or rather, this book is his Master. The first order given to him is to survive in the present world and survive until ten years later."
After saying this, Caster looked at Matou Ike. She knew everything about the transaction in the 'Dragon Cave' last time, but she had never asked about it.
Now, the ten-year timeframe has appeared once again...
Matou Ike was also stunned at this moment. All he knew was that a new 'Holy Grail War' might begin in ten years. The two fell into a silent silence.
Chapter 25 "Mutual Testing"
"Kiri, what's going on now?"
Tokiomi is contacting Kirei Kotomine, who is at the scene of the murder, via a jewel communicator.
When the church discovered the birth of the new Servant, Kirei Kotomine rushed to the scene to find out what was going on.
"It seems that Berserker's Master was killed by his own Servant."
After hearing Kirei's report, there was a moment of silence on the other end of the gem communicator.
"Mentor, please make a decision."
"Kirei, find Berserker and take him out. You must do this before any other Masters form a new contract with him."
The fact that Berserker lost his Master immediately after being summoned is very advantageous to the Tohsaka family. With each fewer opponent, the chances of his alliance with Kirei will increase.
As for why they didn't subdue them for their own use, firstly, the fact that a familiar killed its master is an unforgivable act for a magician.
Furthermore, to subdue someone, one must offer a great reward. After the Holy Grail's wish summoned Gilgamesh, how could it possibly be used to deceive others?
Finally, there's the issue of his own lack of magical power. Tokiomi Tohsaka is a "genius who works hard," but his inherent talent isn't particularly outstanding.
Having acquired a luxurious, super-powerful 'faucet' like Gilgamesh's is already constantly draining his magical energy.
......
"You mean you don't want to listen to this book? You don't want to be turned into a monster by it?"
"How about we renegotiate the contract?"
After hearing Gilles de Rais's request, Matou Ike extended an invitation to him.
"not so good!"
The words suddenly came from outside the waterway, followed by a sharp dagger that was plunged straight into the barrier that Caster had set up in advance.
The magic-dispelling properties attached to the short sword caused half of the blade to sink into the barrier.
Black keys? Someone from the church?
Matou Ike turned his head and saw three more black keys being thrown, completely shattering the barrier.
"Kiri, it's been a long time. Why do we have to fight as soon as we meet?"
Upon seeing the person in front of him, Matou Ike did not immediately retaliate. Instead, he exchanged pleasantries with the other party. However, he was not idle either. As the black keys burst forth, he began to mobilize his insects.
"I'm only here to deal with the Berserker. If you step aside, I'll spare your lives for now."
As soon as Kirei Kotomine uttered his chilling declaration, three more black keys shot out from the air.
Kirei Kotomine's Heroic Spirit has not yet appeared, so Caster dared not make any rash moves, only symbolically throwing a few magic bullets forward.
Four or five magic bullets, each with a different trajectory, hurtled towards Kirei Kotomine.
As the demonic bullet hurtled closer, Kirei Kotomine produced three black keys in each of his hands.
Faced with the incoming magic missile, he simulated its flight trajectory in advance, threw the black key in his hand, and detonated it in mid-air.
The shockwave from the explosion collided with the walls of the underground sewer, creating a loud, echoing sound.
“Caster, you cover me, I'll deal with him. Watch out for the Heroic Spirits hiding in the shadows, it looks like it's an Assassin.”
Before he finished speaking, Matou Ike raised his 'little helper' and fired a 'phosphorus fireball' at Kotomine Kirei.
Seeing the bullets hurtling towards him, Kirei Kotomine didn't hesitate and made a move to dodge.
But if it's a normal bullet, then his method of dodging is the correct choice.
The 'phosphorus fire bomb' exploded the moment it approached Kirei. Although the scorching flames did not directly burn Kirei's body, they did coat him.
It wasn't over yet; another 'phosphorus fire bomb' was fired, but this time Kirei didn't dodge like before. Instead, he took off his priest's robe.
They imbued it with magic and used it as a shield.
The uniforms assigned to the agents by the Holy Church are specially made and have a high resistance to some magical attacks.
After Kirei's magical enhancement, it was barely able to withstand the magical bullets fired from Matou Ike's gun-themed Mystic Code.
Holding the priest's suit, Kirei leaped towards the Matou Pond.
He knew he had a greater advantage in close combat, and if he were to remain engaged in long-range combat, he would be nothing more than a sitting duck.
Matou Ike did not back down when he saw this situation. He raised his 'Little Helper' and fired several shots. At the same time, seven or eight fire ants flew out of his body and shot towards the leaping Kotomine Kirei along with the bullets.
A series of explosions rang out in the air, and clusters of blazing white flames repeatedly ignited and extinguished.
The flames flickered in the cave, and waves of intense heat washed over you.
Kirei Kotomine used the shockwave to adjust his posture in mid-air and lunged towards Matou Pond.
"Master!" Caster, seeing the situation was dire, prepared to intervene.
"Miss Magician, didn't you hear your Master say to pay close attention to me?" A cold voice rang out.
Kirei Kotomine's heroic spirit has finally appeared.
He was wrapped in a black cloak, and his face was covered by a skull mask. His deep eyes gleamed with a cold light through the gaps in the mask.
Most striking was his strange, thick right hand, which, wrapped in bandages, seemed to seal away something terrifying.
At that moment, that right hand was reaching for Caster's heart.
Caster's speed increased several times over; she had prepared the [Time Control] spell before Assassin attacked.
She flew upwards quickly, but Hassan's right hand, like a long snake, relentlessly pursued her.
Caster quickly created two clones, using high-speed divine words to summon a huge magic circle, from which several beams of light shot out.
When the light hits the ground, it cuts a long crack, as if the ground had been ravaged by a laser cutter.
When Assassin realized he couldn't reach Caster with his right hand, he immediately withdrew it.
The magical beam of light sliced the wall into fragments and dust, obscuring everyone's vision.
A tall, slender black figure rolled on the ground, emerging faintly from the hazy dust.
Assassin was clearly still alive; the ground beside him was deeply cut into geometric cracks, like a complex masterpiece.
He quickly rolled over, then leaped into the air, nimbly dodging the laser cutting net composed of numerous rays of light.
Every dodge was incredibly precise, as if he were dancing with death.
"Is this woman's magic inexhaustible? Well, it's time to end it."
Assassin muttered to himself before disappearing into the darkness.
His mission was simply to hold off Caster; a direct confrontation was too much of a stretch for Assassin. His real strategy was to launch a sneak attack when the opportunity presented itself.
Meanwhile, below their battlefield, Kirei Kotomine was rapidly approaching Matou Pond.
Matou Ike seemed completely unprepared, leaving the door wide open, as if she hadn't even realized what was happening.
Seizing the opportunity, Kirei Kotomine threw a jab punch with his right hand, which was holding the black key, aiming for Matou Ike's chest with lightning speed.

Kirei Kotomine, gripping the black key's fist, easily pierced through Ike Matou's chest.
After noticing the Master battle below, Assassin, who was fighting Caster, withdrew from the fight with Caster ahead of time.
By the time Caster noticed what was happening below, it was too late to rescue them.
Perhaps this hard-won second life will be lost here.
Only those who have died yearn for life more.
As soon as Kirei Komine inserted the black key into Ike Matou's heart, he sensed something was wrong.
The sensation was very strange. Although he hadn't been on the battlefield for three years, Kirei would never forget the feeling of it piercing his heart.
Whenever Kirei recalled that feeling, he felt it was a blasphemy, and therefore he tempered himself with inhuman suffering.
The human heart is a strong muscle. When you insert a knife into it, you will feel a strong feedback sensation, which is the feedback from the strong heart muscle.
The Black Key's magic-based blade is incredibly sharp. Originally a conceptual weapon developed to deal with evil beings like the Dead Apostles, it can now easily cut through human flesh.
But the sensation before my eyes was like a cake knife, piercing straight into the center of a cheesecake.
“This isn’t right…” Kirei frowned, trying to quickly pull back the black key.
