Chapter 393 Quicksilver vs. Grievous
Chapter 393 Quicksilver vs. Grievous
"You will perish here!"
One could best describe the battle as a fiery light show, as four lightsabers were used to deflect a lightsaber that was swinging at such a rapid speed that it was barely even registered.
Suddenly, the dancing of the lightsaber stopped abruptly, and a silver-blue figure rushed into the battlefield with great speed, spinning his legs like a windmill, and suddenly knocked his opponent away. This sudden blow made a general in armor, Grievous, grunt in anger and pain. He was thrown by a huge force and hit the nearby wall, and was tightly trapped in the metal armor.
His lightsaber made a clanking sound when it hit the ground, becoming useless. He struggled to his feet, his eyes burning with anger, staring at his equally angry opponent.
As time went by, his frustration grew. He had never been afraid of the Jedi Knights, but at this moment, he felt unprecedented pressure from the lightsaber wielded by the Avengers.
Pietro Maximoff, Quicksilver, stood before the droid general, his eyes cold as ice, fighting the murderous intent projected by Grievous. He clutched the lightsaber of his deceased Jedi friend Emma-Gon Dante, and the rage for revenge burned in his body.
Although the opponent is known as the Jedi Knight's formidable enemy, Quicksilver is fearless.
Grievous's brain has been technologically modified to process information at an extraordinary speed. With this advantage, he can predict Quicksilver's possible attack path and respond accordingly.
However, in the next exchange, Quicksilver rushed at him again, and this time, Grievous was unable to react in time. At the last moment, Grievous grabbed Quicksilver's wrist with incredible strength and threw him at full force against a nearby wall.
Quicksilver's head bounced off the wall, looking slightly dazed as he fell to the ground.
Grievous took the opportunity to pounce on the Avengers, determined to fight it out. The outcome of this battle is still undecided, and the decisive battle between the two warriors continues...
During the fierce battle, Grievous' foot stomped heavily on Quicksilver's back, making a dull sound.
Quicksilver gasped in pain, and was then turned over by a cyborg and hit hard in the chin.
"I enjoy making your Jedi friend experience death." Grievous spat out the words viciously. "You are doomed to suffer the same fate as the rest of the Order."
He grabbed Quicksilver's neck tightly with both hands, shook him violently a few times, and then nailed Quicksilver to the wall.
Quicksilver struggled on the wall like a bird nailed to a nail.
"I must admit, you are indeed powerful." Grievous said, "I haven't been beaten so badly in a long time. Perhaps I should kill more of your Jedi friends, the Avengers, maybe then I will truly accept your challenge."
The dazed look in Quicksilver's eyes disappeared instantly, and his body shook at an alarming speed, so that the arms that bound him broke. This sudden break made Grievous roar in pain, and was immediately repelled by Quicksilver with a high-speed double kick.
The robot general managed to regain his footing, only to be hit hard by Quicksilver again. He tried to grab the last opponent who had entered the battlefield, but Quicksilver quickly grabbed him and spun him around. Grievous was thrown violently down the corridor where the two fought fiercely. Although he was staggering, he quickly stood up.
Quicksilver moved closer, launching a series of swift jabs at the robot general.
Grievous tried to fight back, whether it was swinging his lightsaber or punching and kicking, but Quicksilver was as fast as the wind and didn't give him any chance to fight back.
When some seemed to be getting close, they were repelled by Quicksilver's borrowed lightsaber.
Even though one of Grievous' four arms was severed, it only increased his destructive power.
Quicksilver's fist shook violently, then rushed into Grievous's chest armor with incredible force. The blow was almost devastating, and the metal section collapsed as the robot general was knocked back again.
The Separatist General's eyes widened as he felt the armor protecting his vital organs begin to crack. At that moment, his unsevered hands shot out and managed to grab Quicksilver's neck. He squeezed Quicksilver's neck tightly until Quicksilver's face turned blue.
However, the battle continued... On the battlefield, the Avenger's power was still overwhelming. He swung his weapon at an incredible speed, disorienting the robot general and eventually causing Grievous to fall like a hero.
At this point, Quicksilver quickly drew out his lightsaber and rejoined the fight. Living up to his nickname, he quickly overpowered the robot general's counterattack and decisively cut off its other mechanical arm.
Quicksilver then pointed his lightsaber at the exposed Separatist general, attempting to end the fight with his sword, but a mysterious force pushed him back.
A voice said, "I'm sorry, but I can't let you do this, Avenger."
After landing, Quicksilver looked at the people who were interfering with the battle. Judging from their attire and the flashing red lightsabers, they were Dooku's acolytes.
Grievous knelt on one knee with difficulty, coughing violently and said, "I have dealt with most of it, Valen."
The acolyte calmly responded, "Yes, but you are too valuable to die now." The lightsaber was once again in place.
"You'd better leave now." Quicksilver's voice revealed a deadly aura. "As long as you hand over that walking piece of scrap metal to me, I will let you live."
"That doesn't sound like the words of a hero, nor does it sound like the words of a Jedi Knight," the acolyte retorted.
However, Quicksilver did not give him a chance to continue speaking. He raised his new lightsaber. "Step aside, or I will cut you into ribbons."
Bill Wallen just smiled faintly and said, "Oh, come on then."
The Acolyte said no more as he raised his lightsaber to meet the Avenger's hasty blow.
His arms twisted in pain, barely able to withstand the Avengers' fast and fierce attacks. Varen tried his best to use the Force to defend himself, but it barely kept him in the fight. He felt the cutting and burning sensations all over his body as Quicksilver's lightsaber became increasingly blurred, as if coated with a layer of blue and silver light.
Everything around him became a blur as he was hit sideways by a heavy kick and was sent flying backwards, falling to the other side of the hall.
Meanwhile, Separatist General Grievous took the opportunity to flee the battlefield, quickly crawling away on all fours.
Although Grievous was eager to continue fighting, he knew that he had reached a point of no return. However, he vowed that the battle was not over and he would continue to look for opportunities to strike back. He was determined to seek justice from Quicksilver for this humiliation.
