Chapter 478 Father
Chapter 478 Father
"Ah, that's great. Our division of labor is now clearer." Ahsoka shook her head expressionlessly, feeling a little helpless about the current situation.
Suddenly, there was a rumble of thunder in the sky, as if it was going to tear apart the quiet night sky. They looked sideways and saw dark clouds gathering rapidly and approaching.
Obi-Wan frowned slightly, "These signs have never appeared before."
Black Panther replied with a determined look: "The storm is coming. We must act quickly."
Their pace was quick but steady, though they were still careful to avoid possible rock slides.
After a long journey, they finally returned to where the boat was parked...
"The ship is gone!" Ahsoka's exclamation broke the silence.
"I understand." Black Panther responded calmly.
"It was parked here, there is no doubt about that," Obi-Wan added, his eyes revealing determination.
Black Panther was silent for a moment, looking around, trying to find any clues that might suddenly appear and surprise them. The atmosphere here was different from what he remembered, and he felt an inexplicable sense of strangeness.
It wasn't just his intuition, his senses picked up other unusual signs. That feeling... he couldn't fully describe it in words, but it was unsettling.
"Look." Ahsoka suddenly pointed at the nearby plants, "Their condition is deteriorating rapidly."
They silently watched the vitality of the plants gradually drain away, and then -
"Did you lose anything?"
A dark echo made all three of them turn their heads to see what was going on. At the same time, Ahsoka quickly activated her lightsaber as a defensive move, and Black Panther's mask also appeared on his face.
Before them, a pair of bright red eyes glared out of the darkness, surrounded by red tattoo markings that flowed down the cheeks as if crying. The creature also had the same markings on its head, and wore a tight bodysuit made of red and black material.
"You did not do as you promised." The creature's voice was cold and heartless, doing them no good.
Facing the threat, the three of them could not help but feel anxious. Kenobi asked in confusion, "What is that?" He remained alert, staring at the creature in front of him.
"My sister told you to wait."
The black panther was ready to pounce at any time in case the newcomer did anything.
Obi-Wan said in a calmer tone, "Unfortunately, it looks like we are blocked by a landslide."
Now that they have a clearer picture, Black Panther makes a request: "If possible, we want our ship back."
However, the "daughter's" brother approached Obi-Wan with a questioning look. He stared at the Black Panther for a moment, as if pondering some strategy before refocusing on the Jedi Master. "This is unusual, isn't it?" he whispered, low enough for those around him to hear. "Is he really the Chosen One?"
Obi-Wan's eyes widened, and he took a step back involuntarily, quickly activating his lightsaber, while Ahsoka activated another lightsaber at the same time. The Jedi Master asked warily, "What do you know?" He waved the azure lightsaber nervously in the direction of the red-eyed creature.
“What’s going to happen is going to happen, whether you like it or not.”
The stranger caused the lightsaber to go out with a wave of his hand, much to Obi-Wan's surprise.
"Are you a Sith?" Obi-Wan stared at the man, and could sense how deeply he had been drawn to the dark side of the Force. It was as if he had been born from it, shaped by it. He was clearly uncomfortable with being near him.
The man let out a hoarse laugh. "Sith?" A smile appeared on his pale face. "Yes..." Then he turned and began to move away from them, as the downpour had begun and accelerated. "The storm here is very deadly. If you want to survive, I suggest you find shelter somewhere."
Then, the man soared into the sky at a rapid speed, and instantly jumped into the air. A flash of lightning suddenly appeared in front of the other party. At his position, a huge bat-like creature began to fly away.
"Is this...really going to happen in the universe?" Obi-Wan asked doubtfully.
Lightning began to pour down from the sky and thunder roared everywhere.
"Hurry! There's a cave over there!" Black Panther shouted.
The three quickly take off to escape, they must outrun this unnatural force of nature before they are killed by it.
The trio of Anakin, Spider-Man and Vision have lost track of their "daughter", and their adventure has just begun...
In the desperate search, everyone tried their best to find her. From Spider-Man's shaky figure as he climbed the mountaintop to Anakin and Vision reaching out to feel her presence, they put in their best efforts. However, for various reasons, their efforts came to nothing.
Before they can make their next move, an unpleasant storm breaks out, forcing them to seek shelter and plan their next move.
It was then that they discovered an unusual place on the planet - a monastery.
They had a hunch that they might find their "daughter" or some other clue in this building, so they decided to take a risk and head straight to the monastery.
They were surprised to find that the strange storm had not affected the mountain where the monastery was located. They could not argue the reason, but when they approached the mountain, they felt an inexplicable sense of security.
Once they entered that monastery, everything changed dramatically.
From their perspective, everything around them seemed to change in an instant, yet it seemed as if nothing had changed. There was a large room in the monastery, in which only one person sat quietly.
"Hmm..." Spider-Man stepped back and raised his hands above his head, while Vision shook his head as the Mind Stone beat. Anakin was about to ask if there was anything wrong, but he also felt something at the same time, and he turned his head to look at the man they saw when they entered the room.
"You all feel this way, right?" Spider-Man asked.
"Yes." Anakin answered slowly, and Vision nodded silently. "Peter, how did you sense this aura?"
"I... I'm not sure." Spider-Man looked a little confused. "But maybe it has something to do with my sixth sense. Since we got here, my sixth sense has become unusually sharp."
Anakin recalled Obi-Wan's lessons, helping Spider-Man hone his sixth sense. His master had spoken of the similarities between Spider-Man's extra power and the precognitive powers of a Jedi Knight that allow them to sense immediate danger.
So, for Spider-Man, is this ability related to the Force? Or is it some other power?
Whatever the answer, they have more pressing matters at hand.
So, they slowly walked towards the center of the room, ready to face whatever might happen next. They could see the slender figure in the monastery more clearly.
In a quiet contemplative space, a wizened old man sat upright, his braids long and neat. He wore a gorgeous silver-grey robe with gold trims and a matching hat. His eyes were bright silver-blue, and when they opened, he looked at the three people in front of him with a deep gaze.
He spoke slowly, his voice carrying an echoing quality, as if it were his daughter's call. "Welcome, my friends." His voice echoed in the air.
Vision asked softly, "Are you waiting for us?"
The old man stared at Vision for a moment, then turned his gaze to the Mind Stone. Then, his eyes wandered over Spider-Man, and finally stopped at Anakin.
"Only you, but not them." The old man said, turning back to the two Avengers. "They... I did not see them coming, and they will not set foot here again. The owner of the Mind Stone and... the enchanted... the Web Totem."
"The owner of the Mind Stone... and the totem of the spider web." The old man's words echoed in the air, and every word seemed to carry some deep meaning. This confused Spider-Man. Totem... spider web? What does this mean?
Anakin was attracted by the old man's words and asked, "Why did you wait for me?"
"To understand who you really are, as you may already know," the old man replied calmly, and then he quickly stood up from his contemplative posture, his figure towering over both Vision and Anakin. "To fulfill your destiny, you must believe in something."
Anakin, feeling the pressure mount, interrupted, "Stop playing dumb, old man. Tell us what's going on."
"What should I call you?" Vision asked respectfully.
"You can call me father." The old man replied calmly.
"At least we understand what 'daughter' refers to now," Spider-Man commented. "But what did you mean by 'totem' just now?"
"You know what this is," Vision began, dragging his hand over the Mind Stone, which now glowed very brightly.
"I know this much." A great voice echoed off the walls of the monastery hall. "Your arrival here, where you are, has changed the trajectory of destiny. You are no longer who you were before."
At this time, a storm was raging outside the monastery, and the scene could be glimpsed through the gaps in the windows.
"As you can see." The father quickly walked away, prompting the three to follow.
"You are my guests tonight."
