Chapter 492: The Insidious Son
Chapter 492: The Insidious Son
During the fierce conflict between Spider-Man and Ahsoka, Black Panther and Anakin also found this place and witnessed the fierce battle. Although they were relieved to reunite with the two teenagers, they were also troubled and doubtful.
"Ahsoka! Peter! Why are you fighting?" Anakin asked in shock. His voice echoed in the air, full of confusion and bewilderment.
"Ahsoka is in trouble!" Spider-Man shouted loudly, his voice revealing a kind of helplessness and anxiety. He gently retracted his head from the green lightsaber in Ahsoka's hand, and then added: "She obviously has a problem with her mentality!" He leaned back and cleverly avoided Ahsoka's attack.
Anakin stared at his apprentice, immediately noticing that she was not in her usual state. He moved quickly to deflect the blows between them with his lightsaber, then gently pushed Ahsoka away, trying to calm her down.
"What happened to her?" Anakin asked with concern, while Black Panther joined the battle, his vibranium suit absorbing the flying blades.
"I don't know, Anakin!" Spider-Man answered with confusion and helplessness in his voice.
Ahsoka glared at them coldly, her eyes filled with anger and hatred. "You always looked at me with a critical eye, Master. You never really believed in me, never really trusted me. I felt that I was not good enough, not proud enough. Well, I don't need you now." Her voice was full of determination and disappointment.
Anakin quickly noticed something was wrong. He keenly noticed the yellow in Ahsoka's eyes and the black veins gradually appearing on her body. These were stains of the dark side, a sign of decay.
"Ahsoka, listen to me," he began gently, "what did the Son do to you? This is not the real you." His voice was filled with concern and worry.
However, Ahsoka seemed to have fallen into madness. "Isn't it?! I feel more like my true self than ever before. In fact, I've never felt so alive! And you, Peter, betrayed me." She cast her eyes on Spider-Man again, her eyes filled with hatred and disappointment.
"You betrayed me," Ahsoka screamed. "We could have fought together!" Her voice was filled with pain and disappointment.
As she prepared to strike, Black Panther moved quickly and raised his arms to block her blow. His Vibranium suit easily absorbed the impact of the blade, protecting both him and Spider-Man from harm.
"What is she talking about?" asked Black Panther.
"Can we talk about this later, when she's done trying to skin me alive?"
"Master, the Holy Son asked me to pass on a message to you. He said that if you don't join him, he will kill me."
"We won't let him succeed, Ahsoka!" This was Anakin's firm response, full of protection and determination.
Ahsoka chuckled and became even crazier, "Then you are forced to kill me! But before that I have to take care of Peter and Barris myself." There was a hint of confusion and determination in her tone.
These words heightened the tension in the room, and Anakin turned to Spider-Man in confusion.
"Barris? Okay, Peter, what does this mean?" Anakin's face was full of confusion.
Spider-Man was now thankful that the mask could hide his reddened face.
"I...I really don't know." Spider-Man's answer sounded a little flustered.
Suddenly, Ahsoka rushed over like a gust of wind, her sharp cry piercing the air. "Liar!" She was like a beast in anger.
Spider-Man leaped back and avoided Padawan's pursuit. The two of them chased and fled, shuttling through the chaos.
……
In a room, the stained glass window reflected the battle scene. The Son of God had a smug smile on his face, as if he found pleasure in this little chaos.
He thought back to the Dark Orb and couldn't help but notice the change in Spider-Man. Who put this thing on Spider-Man? They had brought it here years ago before he, his sister, and his father were imprisoned. The protection should not be broken. There must be something fishy going on.
He was eager to find the answer, and at the same time he was worried whether the chosen one would really be forced to fight the student. But his attention was more focused on the black panther, and he felt the change of the black panther.
This change made him uneasy. It seemed that something had touched his heart more deeply than he had noticed yesterday. But this only made the conspiracy of the Son of God more serious.
These are just three of the Avengers that have come to this galaxy.
From what he and his family had discovered, there were nine more out there. What else could these creatures bring?
However, before he thought deeply about these questions, he encountered a surprising scene.
"Sister, this is a great surprise," he said, his eyes not lingering on the three people in the room. "You brought a friend."
"Brother, what did you do?" the daughter asked in confusion.
He responded with mock confusion: "I made the right decision... or maybe the wrong one, from your perspective."
Suddenly, Vision spoke up: "Your father's life is coming to an end. Why are you doing this?"
The Son looked at the Avenger with a more alert look, glancing briefly at his forehead. He wondered to himself if this vision's warning meant anything.
"Do you know the nature of this power? Are you imprisoned for a crime you did not commit? Here you stand on the ingot of the origin of the universe, free to show off your power while those who truly understand this power are bound in chains."
"We used a pointless fight to force her to make a choice. All this could have been avoided..."
The Son angrily interrupted his daughter, "But that was millions of years ago! He was too selfish and failed to resist in the right way. He should have challenged Arrichim and put things back on track in the universe. The old man sacrificed world after world full of life, just to reproduce more of his kind. We sacrificed the people we loved and cared about. He would have taken that decision with him at the time, but he softened his heart and left us trapped here. He has been gone for too long, so I decided to continue his work."
The Avengers stepped forward: "I'm here to stop you."
The Son said coldly, "I will not let you leave this planet." He looked at his new sister, "Neither of you is strong enough to keep me."
Obi-Wan defiantly responded, "Not one person, but all of us."
The Son laughs maniacally, shooting lightning from his hands. His sister quickly raises her shield, deflecting it. The Vision fires a beam from his forehead, hitting the Son, but he quickly deflects it.
The Son of God shouted wildly, his voice full of arrogance. "You mortals, the power you have mastered or understood is so insignificant! How dare you believe that a toy-like being can compete with a being like me?"
Vision turned his head, his gaze locked onto the Force user before unleashing a powerful beam that struck him directly between the eyes.
"Ah!" The Son cried out in pain and immediately covered his eyes with his hands. "You will pay a heavy price for this attack!"
With the power of the Force and the advanced technology at his disposal, he easily captured all three of them. However, surprisingly, his daughter managed to break free.
The Son angrily threw Obi-Wan and Vision out of the throne room. However, Vision adjusted himself in the air, stood firmly, and rushed to the Son's back like a bolt of lightning.
Meanwhile, Obi-Wan crashed through the stained glass window and tumbled down into the courtyard, groaning faintly.
"Obi-Wan!"
The Jedi Master looked up to see Black Panther standing over him, kneeling down to offer his help.
"T'Challa," Obi-Wan said with relief, "I'm glad to see you. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Black Panther replied, helping the Jedi up. "How did you get here?"
"Vision and I came with our daughter to confront the Son. Where is Ahsoka?"
The Jedi Master followed Black Panther's gaze and saw the young Padawan fighting with Anakin and Spider-Man. He looked closely and asked in confusion, "Wait, why is Ahsoka fighting them? And...is that Peter? Since when did his clothes turn black?"
"The Son corrupted her," Black Panther replied, "and we are working to stop her. As for Peter… I know nothing about it."
Under the combined attack of the two Jedi Knights and the Avengers, Ahsoka rushed towards Anakin's lightsaber with her lightsaber. The Force given to her by the Son surged in her body, giving her enough power to threaten her master in battle.
"Got ahead of myself, didn't I, little brat?" the Jedi said to Ahsoka.
However, this only angered Padawan, "Don't call me that! I hate it when you call me that!"
"What if I were to call you that?" Spider-Man suddenly interrupted.
Ahsoka looked at him, a little color returning to her dull skin, "You can."
Spider-Man received a displeased look from Anakin, and his eyes immediately turned to Ahsoka.
"Hey, you're mad at me but not at him," Anakin complained childishly.
"Hey, she gave me a nickname before, that's what's interesting! Only I--wow, that's a fair deal!" Spider-Man said with a hint of mischief in his words.
Suddenly, Ahsoka's lightsaber came at Spider-Man, and he dodged it skillfully. Ahsoka used the force to bring the sword back, and he escaped danger again.
"It looks like she's really ready for you," Anakin gloated.
"The fate of the master and the traitor will be decided by the student today," Ahsoka's voice was low and decisive, causing Skywalker and Spider-Man to look at each other in surprise.
"Stop talking. She really wants both of us to die."
At this time, Black Panther and Obi-Wan joined the battle.
"Two Avengers and two Jedi, this is finally a bit challenging," Ahsoka said.
"Ahsoka, didn't I just tell you not to cross the line?" Anakin warned in a joking tone.
Padawan didn't say much, her actions foreshadowing the coming attack.
Inside the tower, the Son's eyes wandered between the conflict outside and the dispute he was involved in. He had a sinister smile and a black halo surrounded him.
"Can you feel the anger, the hatred, the conflict?" he asked, his voice low and magnetic.
"Isn't their fighting nourishing you?" the daughter asked with a hint of questioning in her voice.
"This must end." A firm voice echoed in the tower.
Vision tried to rush out and solve the problem on his own, but unfortunately, the dark celestial body blocked his way.
"It's not something you can interfere with." The contempt in the Son of God's eyes was undisguised.
The Daughter and Vision team up again, and the three of them once again engage in a fierce conflict in the center of the room.
