Chapter 509 Love Blooms on Tatooine 1
Chapter 509 Love Blooms on Tatooine 1
During dinner, Ahsoka began to notice some strange behavior that she had not noticed throughout her journey. Especially the way her Master interacted with Senator Amidala.
She felt strange about the overly familiar way they were getting along, and she couldn't help but secretly glance at the two of them, but Padmé unexpectedly caught her gaze.
When asked what was troubling her, Ahsoka chose to remain silent at first, but the Naboo senator could easily sense her abnormality.
"Anakin," Senator Padmé said calmly, turning to her husband who had a stern, determined look on his face.
Anakin Skywalker hesitated for a moment before turning his gaze to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man understood what was about to happen. The Avenger looked between them for a moment before speaking, "Ahsoka is your student, Anakin. She trusts you."
This incoherent remark made Ahsoka even more confused. After hearing Spider-Man's words, Anakin's expression became firm. The Jedi Knight just gently held his wife's hand, intertwined their fingers, and then placed the warm palm on the dining table.
"You're right." He whispered, looking Ahsoka straight in the eyes. "Ahsoka, there's something you need to know. I'm telling you now."
The words commanded her full attention, and she leaned over the table expectantly, ready to listen to what was to come.
"Padmé and I..."
……
……
Ahsoka stood alone on the sand dunes surrounding Lars Manor, her eyes cast toward the distant horizon of the desert world, silently gazing at the magnificent sight of two suns shining together.
Although she appears calm and content on the outside, a closer look reveals the struggle and shock in her eyes. If you look closely, you can see the tense shoulders and occasional clenched fists.
After enjoying a quiet dinner at Lars Manor, her thoughts drifted far away. She recalled the teachings she had learned from her master and the aftermath of dinner... She needed some time to sort out all these thoughts.
"What a beautiful view." A familiar voice came from behind, breaking the silence. "This is where the dreams of science fiction books come true."
Ahsoka's mouth curled up slightly, as if she had found some comfort in her heart. From the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of Spider-Man walking towards her.
"Can dreams really come true?" she asked with innocent curiosity.
He shrugged his shoulders in a relaxed manner and answered affirmatively: "Yes, it is entirely possible. You know, Earth has only one sun, but I noticed that most other planets have more than one sun. It is amazing to see such cosmic wonders."
Ahsoka didn't respond, and turned back to the shining sun. For a moment, there was only a quiet silence between the two, although Spider-Man occasionally glanced at her and noticed that she seemed a little nervous.
"Do you have a lot of thoughts in your mind?" Spider-Man asked.
She snorted with a hint of derision and shook her head.
Ahsoka admitted frankly: "It's just a way of putting it. Honestly? I just... I really don't know how to take all this. My Master, the one who trained me to be a better Jedi Knight, is breaking the Jedi rules and going against the spirit of the entire Order."
Spider-Man thought for a moment and replied, "To be fair, breaking the rules seems to be your style." He shrugged, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."
Ahsoka's brows furrowed. "It doesn't matter. The real problem is... the Master has been lying to the Order, lying to Obi-Wan, and..."
Although she didn't finish her words, her meaning was very clear.
Spider-Man knew what she wanted to say, so he cleared his throat and looked at the suns again, trying to find the right words. "Well... actually, your master didn't really lie to you." Spider-Man frowned, "Well, from a practical point of view, Anakin did keep his marriage a secret. Even before he met you. I understand that this violates the rules of the Jedi Order, but I don't think there is anything wrong with Anakin doing this. I think if it weren't for the current war, if Anakin had a choice, he might even choose to leave the Order for Padme. But they all have their own responsibilities to uphold. Leaving the galaxy when everyone needs them the most seems selfish."
"but--"
"It doesn't mean he doesn't trust you." Spider-Man gently interrupted her and placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "He chose to reveal this secret to you because he has absolute trust in you. This was not a decision made by the Council, Obi-Wan, or other Jedi Knights. In fact, I'm not even sure if his troops knew about it. But in the end, he decided to tell you this secret. Do you know why?"
He made Ahsoka meet his gaze.
"Because he knows that his Padawan is trustworthy, and you trust him as well." His words were firm and clear.
"How can you say that?" Ahsoka's voice was a little hoarse, with a hint of doubt. "He never told me before..."
"But he did it now." Spider-Man's eyes revealed a firm light, and his gaze was locked on hers. "He trusts you more than anyone else, and you two know this very well."
For a moment, Ahsoka seemed confused, but then a tearful smile broke out on her face and without warning she leaned forward and rested her head on Spider-Man's shoulder.
The action surprised him, but he responded quickly by pulling her closer and hugging Ahsoka. He put his arm around her waist as he felt Ahsoka's hands on his back and her head move slightly closer to his cheek.
They stayed like that in a silent embrace for a few seconds until Ahsoka suddenly pulled back.
"Wait." She frowned and looked at the confused Spider-Man in front of her. "Anakin said that all the Avengers already know."
"Huh? What's wrong?"
"You said so much about his trust in me before, so tell me, and..." She was interrupted by Spider-Man.
"Oh, I understand what you mean." Spider-Man suddenly realized, "You misunderstood, he didn't tell us directly. In fact, we discovered it ourselves through clues. It's not difficult."
Ahsoka looked very confused now. "How did you…"
Spider-Man smiled and said, "To be honest, this isn't that hard to understand. I know I may not be the best person to explain this, but... we've all seen the close interactions between the two of them."
Ahsoka stared at her friend with an expression of unspeakable wonder, her cheeks puffed out in an adorable way.
Spider-Man looked back at her with a strange look in his eyes. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and he said jokingly, "Are you... pouting?"
Ahsoka snorted and turned away angrily.
"No!" She denied her emotions, but that unintentional action made her look even more adorable.
Spider-Man laughed.
"This isn't funny!" Ahsoka said, with a tone in her voice that she didn't notice.
"Yeah." Spider-Man said and laughed again.
Ahsoka raised her hand and slapped him, but she didn't use much force.
Spider-Man stared at Ahsoka, seemingly enjoying the interaction.
Suddenly, driven by an inexplicable force, his hand unconsciously grabbed Ahsoka's wrist and pulled her towards him. Their eyes met at that moment, and everything around them seemed to stop. They stood there, staring into each other's eyes, and there was an indescribable awkwardness in the air.
Ahsoka cleared her throat and was about to leave the embrace that made her heart beat faster, but Spider-Man stopped her. His eyes were focused and intense, confusing her. She didn't understand why she was attracted to such eyes, and she felt flustered at the same time.
"Peter..." Ahsoka's voice was filled with a hint of shyness, "What are you doing..."
Before she could finish her words, Spider-Man had his hand under her chin. Her eyes widened as she stared at him in surprise.
Ahsoka's heartbeat was racing, and she could feel their breaths mingling. Her eyelids fluttered slightly, and finally closed. At this moment, she felt as if she was in a dreamlike scene, unable to extricate herself.
