My cousin is becoming a legend.

Chapter 16 Ending

Chapter 16 Ending

Gallagher's group consisted of more than a dozen people, all wearing chainmail and carrying axes or short swords at their waists.

They were servants of the Galah family.

Behind them, a young man who looked rather frivolous stepped forward.

"Wilson! You must pay back your money today! If you can't, don't blame me for making you homeless and ruined! Of course, if you really have no money, I'm not that heartless. You can hand Miss Tina over to me, and I, Gallagher, will pay off all your debts. How about that, a very good deal, isn't it?"

Thomas, looking desperate, didn't even bother to pretend and laid his cards on the table.

Lynn's face turned ashen, but she didn't even acknowledge him.

He said sternly to the debt collectors in the courtyard, "Who hit someone just now? Step forward. If you don't come out, none of you are leaving."

Everyone in the courtyard looked at each other, and no one dared to step forward.

Thomas blushed when he realized he was being ignored.

"Lynn! Didn't you hear me?!"

Lynn scanned the faces of everyone in the courtyard, narrowed his eyes, and said, "Step forward now, slap your own face until it's swollen, and you can leave. If no one steps forward after five seconds, everyone will have a leg broken."

Uncle Anthony, enduring the pain, whispered to Lynn, "Lynn, let it go. If we make a big fuss, the Baron will have a bad impression of you."

Lynn shook her head.

Although it's definitely not the right time to cause trouble, things have come up this time anyway.

If Lynn can tolerate being beaten in front of his loved ones, then he might as well be an ordinary person who only knows how to curry favor and flatter!

He wants to become strong so that he and those he cares about will not be bullied by others!

"Uncle, don't worry, I know what I'm doing. Leave this to me, you can go back inside first."

He escorted his worried Uncle Anthony back into the house.

Lynn turned and snapped, "What's wrong? Are you deaf? Start counting now, five, four!"

The people in the courtyard hesitated, all looking towards Thomas.

Thomas's face flushed red and then paled. He waved to the servants behind him and shouted angrily, "This is too arrogant! All of you, get him! I'm a superhuman now too, I'm not afraid of him!"

The servants drew their weapons and rushed forward.

Lynn, however, remained standing in place, counting down.

"three!"

The servants had already rushed in front of him, their axes raised, ready to strike Lynn.

But Lynn still didn't try to avoid it.

Thomas was startled.

Lynn is also an extraordinary being, and he is about to become Baron Nareel.

If he were to actually kill him, the Baron would likely hold a grudge.

Although he was a mage with a status far higher than a mere knight, he still had to consider the Baron's opinion of him.

Thomas immediately shouted, "Use the back of your blades to cut him, and remember to spare his life!"

But before he could finish speaking...

The dozen or so servants were sent flying back like cannonballs, crashing heavily to the ground and kicking up a cloud of yellowish-brown dust.

Some of the servants were relatively weak and fainted from the pain caused by the immense force, but most of them lay on the ground groaning in agony.

As for the unlucky Thomas, he couldn't dodge in time and was knocked down and pinned to the ground by someone.

The debt collectors stared blankly at the unexpected scene before them.

They were overwhelmed by the absurdity of it all.

Although they had long known about the legends of superhumans, this was the first time these country folk had witnessed the power of superhumans firsthand.

That's inhuman!

It's as if we're no longer the same species as them!

Lynn remained standing in the same spot, without moving an inch.

He scanned the faces of everyone present, not bothering to give them time to be shocked.

"two!"

Finally, someone couldn't withstand the pressure and stepped forward.

As these people stepped forward, some others, feeling guilty, followed suit.

Lynn looked at them coldly.

"fan."

The sounds of slaps and cries of pain rose and fell.

Lynn turned to look at those who were still standing there, their eyes darting around, their faces filled with fear.

"The rest of you, each get ten slaps, then come to me to collect your money."

After a series of slaps.

Lynn paid back all the debts owed to everyone and tore up all the IOUs.

The people in the courtyard took the money and fled immediately.

Now only the servants lying on the ground remain.

And then there's that useless Thomas, pinned beneath them, howling for help.

Lynn kicked the servant off him and reached out to help him up.

His eyes betrayed his contempt and disgust, but then he forced a warm smile onto his face.

"Oh, it's Gallagher's young master. When did you arrive? Why didn't you tell me beforehand?"

Thomas's face was filled with fear, and he had completely forgotten about using magic.

"Lin, Lynn, I'm telling you, you can't kill me! I'm the Baron's future priest! If you kill me, the Baron will not let you get away with it!"

Lynn chuckled and straightened his collar, saying, "How could I possibly kill you? We have no grudges between us. If there's nothing else, please take your men back, Young Master Thomas."

Thomas was completely bewildered by Lynn's attitude.

But he soon figured it out.

This is because Lynn is afraid of his own identity and dares not lay a hand on himself.

Thomas regained some confidence and was finally able to stand firm.

He made a decision in his heart that he would never provoke this evil star again.

It's all Dad's fault, he encouraged him to come and cause trouble!

As for Tina, we'll talk about her later.

It's likely that once he becomes a priest, Lynn will realize his own worth and will send his sister over on his own initiative.

That's all for today.

After all, he has already sacrificed so much for this family.

Thomas vented his fear and anger on the servants on the ground.

He kicked them repeatedly, pulling up the servants who were lying on the ground unconscious, groaning, or pretending to be dead.

Thomas finally vented his anger.

Before leaving, Thomas stared at Lynn and said solemnly:

"Lynn, thank you for letting me go. Actually, it wasn't my intention to come here today; I was forced by my father. If you want revenge later, don't come after me; go after my father. Of course, you have to let me know in advance so I can leave beforehand to avoid suspicion."

Lynn was speechless and didn't know what to say.

This Thomas is truly a filial son.

Seeing this, Thomas added, "Lynn, just you wait, I'll become a high priest sooner or later, and your sister will be mine sooner or later—no, wait!"

Thomas realized he had misspoke and quickly corrected himself, saying, "I meant you'll hand your sister over to me sooner or later."

Lynn waved his hand speechlessly: "Alright, you can go now."

"Um."

Thomas nodded solemnly, glanced back into the house with some reluctance, and then turned and left.

Lynn watched Thomas's retreating figure, his heart filled with mixed emotions.

He originally planned to sneak into Galach's house and cause some trouble before leaving.

For example, breaking one of this guy's legs or something.

It seems like we should just forget about it now.

As long as Thomas is alive, the Gallagher family will never be alright.

Lynn sighed, pushed open the door, and went back inside.

Tina and her aunt were taking care of their injured uncle, and they were clearly in tears.

Looking at his uncle's face, which was swollen, Lynn decided to concoct some medicine to heal his wounds.

Given Uncle's current condition, let alone concealing his identity and traveling, he probably wouldn't even be able to walk in a straight line.
