Chapter 8: My Sister is in the Book?
Chapter 8: My Sister is in the Book?
I rushed home.
Lynn greeted Uncle Anthony.
They learned that the armor and weapons had not yet been delivered.
Lynn couldn't wait to get back to her room.
He took out the alchemy book, lay down on the bed, and began to flip through it.
Analysis of the Principles and Techniques of Alchemy
The Church of Truth - The Stargazer School - Author
前言
First, matter cannot be created or destroyed out of thin air.
Second, every phenomenon that appears mysterious must contain a simple and beautiful principle.
Third, do not lazily push everything onto God. In the year 213 of the Falician calendar, the first ninth-order, nine-star transcendent being in our school's recorded history had already traveled through the starry sky, where there are no gods.

......
Lynn flipped through the book quickly.
With a foundation in high school chemistry from her previous life, Lynn was still able to understand some of the things she read.
But it only achieves the level of smooth reading.
Lynn couldn't understand the formulas and principles inside at all.
Moreover, alchemy is a discipline that emphasizes practice.
If you can't even understand it when you look at it, you'll be even more confused when you try to use it.
Just as Lynn turned the last page and closed the book.
A message popped up.

"Yesterday, Mom and Dad were acting strangely. Mom was angry with Dad during the day. At night, it seemed like Dad hit Mom. I could hear Mom screaming and crying from the next room. I was very scared."
But Mom was very happy this morning and even taught me a new embroidery pattern. Dad, however, seemed listless and barely responded when I spoke to him. Adults are so strange.
Lynn felt somewhat ashamed.
It's better for young children to go to bed early.
Lynn continued flipping through the pages and finally came across some recent content.
"Dad came home very late today, looking completely lost. He said he lost the sheepskin and owed a lot of money."
He also said he wanted to marry me off to the Gallagher family so they could pay off their debts. That night he held me and cried for a long time, and I finally agreed. I felt I should do something for this family.
Brother Lynn, I wonder if you've become a hero out there? Tina's getting married...
Lynn stopped and didn't turn the page for a long time.
"Brother Lynn is back. He has changed a lot, but I still recognized him at a glance."
He doesn't seem to be doing well outside; rumors are circulating in the village that he's become a bandit. But how could that be? I really want to tear those rumor-mongers' mouths apart!
I went to see my brother that night, and he's really changed a lot. My brother used to be so confident, but now he's like our father that night...
I told him I was getting married, and he didn't say a word. Oh God, Tina, what are you dreaming about? You shouldn't have told him this in the first place; my brother is already heartbroken enough. Having him at my wedding is already the greatest blessing God has given me. I can't cry; I have to let him know I'm happy.
Lynn took a deep breath and continued turning the page.
This is the last diary entry.
"Oh my god, my brother has become a superhuman, right after he argued with Mom and Dad! Am I dreaming? Am I really not going to have to marry that Gallagher guy? I knew my brother was a hero!"
Perhaps my brother had already become a superhuman, but after experiencing a legendary adventure, he wanted to live out his remaining years in anonymity in his hometown. The chivalric romance novels hadn't lied to me after all. I was overjoyed; the tightness in my chest finally eased, and I could feel the sun's warmth today.
My brother went to the baron's estate during the day for me, and I waited for him in the courtyard all evening. I smiled as I waited, thinking about the stories he had told me. My God, I never realized how fast time had passed.
My brother finally returned on horseback, looking as dashing as a prince from a fairy tale. He brought me a bouquet of white hyacinths, which symbolize rebirth. I cried tears of joy, but now, thinking back, I feel a little disappointed. If only it had been a bouquet of bright red roses... (crossed out by multiple horizontal lines).
"Oh my god, Tina! What are you thinking? That was just a childhood joke! How could you think like that! You absolutely shouldn't think like that! You can never think like that again!"
I closed my diary.

[Extensive Reading (Level 0 5/100)]
Lynn's expression was somewhat strange.
Should he not have read this diary?
Okay, he'll just pretend he never read it.
Lynn was just about to put the diary back in that crevice.
The door to the room was pushed open.
Tina walked in carrying a basket of floral fabrics.
She looked in Lynn's direction and saw the diary in Lynn's hand.
boom.
The floral fabric fell to the ground.
Tina's face instantly turned as red as a hot iron.
She snatched the diary back with incredible speed.
She asked, somewhat embarrassed and angry, "Brother, why are you rummaging through the bookshelves like that?"
Lynn blinked innocently.
"I just want to see what books we have at home."
Tina felt a little dizzy, her face was flushed, and she almost crumpled the diary behind her into a ball with both hands.
"You haven't read this book yet, have you?"
Tina's voice was soft and somewhat lacking in confidence.
Lynn pretended to know nothing and waved her hand innocently.
"I was just about to look at it when you snatched it away! What book is this? Why are you so flustered?"
Tina flinched, like a startled kitten.
"Huh? Am I that strange? No, you're definitely overthinking it!"
After tucking the diary into her waistband, Tina pushed Lynn from behind, her whole demeanor breaking down, and she was almost in tears.
"Alright, brother! You've been reading for so long, go outside and get some sun!"
Lynn seized the opportunity and made a swift escape.
Tina was left alone in the room.
Her back was against the door, and she was holding the diary, which she had already crumpled a little.
Her heart was pounding, and her chest was heaving.
The blush still lingered on her cheeks.
Tina clutched the diary tightly, biting her lip, and muttered to herself with her head down.
"If he really saw it... what would he think of me?"
