My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong As Expected

Yuihama, who was walking in front of me, looked around.

"The after-festival is over, and everyone has gone home."

"Hmm, it feels like we're here to clean up the mess. So, is the after-festival being held here?"

Yuihama turned her head and answered my question.

"right."

"Ah, the instruments on the stage are still there."

Just as Totsuka said, the prepared instruments were still left on the stage.

"Because I contacted the people here beforehand and asked them to leave the instruments."

As we entered a few steps later, Haruno slowly walked onto the stage. Following behind her, Yukinoshita spoke:

"Sister, what did you do?"

"Hmm? I used to come here often, so I know some people."

Yang Nai did a quick test on the instrument to check its condition.

"Hmm, no problem. Alright, it's your performance time now!"

She stepped off the stage and returned to the spot where she had been standing.

"Having gone this far, there's nothing I can do but keep going... I need to do my best!"

Hiratsuka-sensei walked onto the stage, cheering herself on.

Yukinoshita stood at a distance, watching the stage and complaining:

"Why even me...?"

Yang Nai smiled and said to her:

"Oh dear, is Hachiman watching making you too nervous to perform?"

"What are you saying? Have you ever seen a guy who looks like him and doesn't feel nervous? How could I possibly be nervous because of him?"

"Really? But he certainly has the ability to ease other people's tension."

"I feel like there's a hidden meaning behind that statement..."

"Okay, okay, just hurry up and come over."

"You don't need to pull me, I'll go there anyway, sigh..."

Haruno pulled Yukinoshita onto the dance platform to prepare with the others.

Totsuka watched from below, his face unable to hide his excitement.

Wow~ I can't wait for their performance! The atmosphere before the show is really special...

"Yes. The scene was very quiet, but everyone's emotions were getting more and more excited. It's incredible."

Komachi is also full of anticipation.

There was another person who was also excited, but in a different direction. That person was the timber pedestal.

"Mmm, the concert was the best! I love concerts so much! Love Live! Someone! Quickly bring me my whole set of glow sticks and suspenders!"

"You're really an expert..."

"Excuse me, is there a length limit to the Flash Sword (Note 76: the original text is "闪ブレ", which is a glow stick modified from an LED flashlight, with a brightness far exceeding that of a regular glow stick)?"

"How would I know? Go ask the organizers."

I really didn't want to talk to this guy... I chose to distance myself from everyone and retreat to the back. Zai Muza noticed and asked from behind me:

"Oh? Hachiman, what's wrong? Where are you going?"

"Whether it's watching a movie or anything else, I always choose the last row."

I walked to the very back and leaned against the wall.

It's so quiet here; I can only hear the sounds of tuning and testing drums in the distance. Then, a sound of footsteps slowly approaches.

I looked in the direction of the footsteps and saw Yuihama.

"Autistic man".

"It's you. What, aren't you going upstairs to prepare?"

"Well, because I don't play any instruments. Speaking of which, you said you didn't get a good look at our performance at the school anniversary celebration..."

"Hmm? Yes."

Next, Yuihama adjusted her breathing slightly and slowly opened her mouth.

"I see... Well then, you'd better watch it carefully this time."

"Now that I'm here, there's no way I can pretend I didn't see it... I'll take a good look."

I can't keep pretending to be stupid forever.

Anyway, I'm starting to feel like I can finally face things properly.

However, there's no need for me to say that outright. Besides, for me right now, that was already the limit.

"Um...I...I'll also...I'll keep a close eye on you!"

Yui hesitated for a moment, trying her best to express her most genuine feelings.

After she finished speaking, she ran up to the dance floor as if fleeing.

"Hey, that's too sneaky of you to just say it and run away, isn't it?"

Even though I didn't know how to respond to her, I still muttered like that.

The microphone captures snippets of conversation on stage and transmits them through the speakers.

"Sorry to keep you all waiting! Ah, Yukino, I still only remember a little bit of the lyrics."

"You still don't even know the correct way to pronounce Japanese..."

Their conversation was exactly the same as it had been that afternoon, and Yang Nai laughed.

"Miss Hihama, don't worry, Yukino will sing with you."

"That kind of thinking is terrible. If you always help her, she'll never improve."

Although Yukinoshita didn't seem too happy about it, she would definitely help when the time came. Hiratsuka-sensei understood this and smiled in return.

"What does it matter? It's fine for two people to sing. You should sing loudly so that everyone in the last row can hear you."

She looked towards the deepest wall, which was where I was.

Yukinoshita and Yuihama looked over.

"Yes……"

"……good!"

Yukino answered reluctantly, while Yuihama was full of energy.

"Ah, it seems like everything is almost ready."

"Yay~ Komachi's been waiting for so long!"

Totsuka and Komachi cheered, while Zaimokuza held a glow stick and swung his upper body.

I leaned against the wall, watching the stage.

Because I told her I would watch their performance carefully.

And so, the stage was officially unveiled.

After the celebration, there was a victory banquet. Now, the victory banquet has also come to an end, and everything has become a memory.

Whether it's fireworks or rockets, once they're launched into the sky, they never return.

However, just as fireworks linger in our minds and rockets leave their mark on the cosmos, they always leave us with something. Therefore, on a whim, I dug out my long-forgotten guitar and tried strumming it. This idea wasn't inspired by any particular inspiration; it was simply a whim.

I was playing a piece when Komachi suddenly opened my door.

"Brother, it's so noisy, all that banging and clanging!"

After her loud protest, she immediately slammed the door shut. I stood there, guitar in hand, stunned.

"You're the one I need to find an interest in... Forget it, I give up..."

Postscript to Volume 7

Hello everyone, I'm Watari.

Spring is almost here. Speaking of spring, it's a season of meeting and parting. I really want to say goodbye to work hell.

Goodbye to a life of sleeping only an hour and a half a day! Hello to arrhythmia and a follow-up health check! Although I've been through painful things, I'm doing well, and I'm still working late into the night with plenty of energy!

In short, this is the seventh episode of "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU".

I initially thought it was just a trivial story between them, but upon closer inspection, I discovered that they were involved. After rubbing my eyes and looking more closely, I realized it was actually his and her story... I can't even understand what I'm saying!

Starting from this point, the story will begin to unfold with this feeling, stopping and starting.

The following is an acknowledgment.

Ponkan⑧, it's about time you considered a title beyond "God"! How about "Supraskai"? The covers for both the regular and special editions are fantastic, thank you so much.

Dear Mr. Sagara, although our works happen to premiere in the same season as the anime, I am very grateful that you took the time out of your busy schedule to write a book cover recommendation (Note 77: The Japanese book cover recommendation for this episode is: "How exciting! The world's most interesting youth novel is getting an anime adaptation! Which role will Wataru Watari-sensei be playing?"). Thank you very much. I would also like to take this opportunity to promote the anime. The anime adaptation of "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU" will air in Japan in April 2013! Please support it!

To all my colleagues involved in the production of this radio drama CD, I sincerely apologize for scheduling such a tight schedule. Thanks to everyone's unwavering support, this joyful radio drama CD was made possible. Thank you all so much.

To all the voice actors, thank you for bringing the characters to life, making them seem vividly alive before my eyes. Every time I watch your voice acting, my heart is filled with emotion. Thank you so much.

Dear writers, I have not received any invitation to the reception. Does this mean I cannot simply sit and wait? Thank you for your consideration in all aspects.

To all my partners involved in this cross-media collaboration, I'm truly grateful for the trouble I've caused you. Seeing the new look of "I made a mistake" on various media platforms is undoubtedly my greatest joy. Thank you all very much, and I look forward to your continued guidance.

Finally, to all the readers. The story has finally entered its second half, and it is thanks to everyone's support that I have been able to continue writing. I am truly grateful. Thank you all so much, and I look forward to your continued guidance.

So, please allow me to put down my pen here.

On a certain day in February, somewhere in Chiba Prefecture, I sipped a hot MAX coffee in the winter sun.

As soon as the school anniversary celebration ended, the autumn atmosphere became even more pronounced.

The autumn air is crisp and clear, and the breeze blowing on your face has begun to carry a slight chill.

The corridor leading to the special building was deserted. I felt a chill and straightened my coat. In the silence, only the sound of my own footsteps could be heard.

At this school, autumn always seems to pass in the blink of an eye.

Following the school anniversary celebrations was the sports meet, and then the graduation trip.

Especially for us second-year students, the autumn schedule is packed with activities. The period between three consecutive events might just be the most youthful time of our lives so far.

Perhaps that's why the whole class, the whole grade, and even the whole school feel restless.

High school students are a bunch of restless types anyway. And now they're at their most hyped up.

That's not surprising. After all, the school anniversary celebration unites the entire school (except me), the sports meet is a chaotic free-for-all (except me), and the graduation trip is a time for close friends to enjoy each other's company (except me). All of these add more brilliance to a page of youth. Haven't we used the "except me" annotation too many times? It sounds like a delicious black and white dessert. It would probably be nice to swirl it around, lick it, and then dip it in milk. (Note 1: The first part of the Japanese pronunciation of "except me (俺を除く)" is the same as OREO, a well-known cookie brand.)

I don't immediately think of sweets just because I mention them, but as soon as the door to the student union office opened, a sweet smell wafted out.

"Ah, autistic guy, hi there~"
