Mythical Creatures Strategy Guide

Chapter 19 I haven't gotten on the bus yet!

Chapter 19 I haven't gotten on the bus yet!

A dog's sense of smell is typically more than 10,000 times more sensitive than a human's.

Ella simply sniffed the winged girl's scent, stood there in a daze for a moment, then tightened her grip on the silver leaf and ran wildly in one direction.

Chu Sheng quickly followed, taking out the strategy manual from his chest as he ran.

The guidebook was a few degrees warmer than usual, and the pages flipped automatically in his hands, stopping with a rustling sound on the page belonging to the B-level category.

"Rank B 002 [Winged Human], subhuman race, collected, progress 40%"

The progress bar jumped to 40% in no time. It's true that naive girls are easy to fool.

That's not quite right, but it doesn't seem wrong either.

"There it is!"

Silverleaf's voice came from above. In order not to interfere with Ella's movements, she had climbed from Ella's back to her shoulder, with her legs draped over Ella's chest and her hands tightly gripping Ella's two tufts of fluffy hair.

Her field of vision was thus greatly elevated, passing over the throng of people and the stalls, and she instantly caught sight of a figure darting into the alley.

Ella rushed in the direction Silver Leaf was pointing.

She didn't take a detour; she simply pushed her way through the crowd. The cats she pushed aside stumbled and fell to either side, their tails bristling and hissing in dissatisfaction.

Chu Sheng followed behind, and had to keep bowing to both sides as he ran, saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" over and over again.

The cat-people who were pushed aside were initially annoyed, their ears flattened and teeth bared. But when they saw that the rampaging figure was a dog-person, their expressions changed to one of complete acceptance.

"Oh, it's a dog-man. Never mind then."

It seems that in the collective understanding of cat people, canine people are born to be this savage and rude.

"stop!"

Silver Leaf rode on Ella's shoulders, bouncing up and down, and let out a majestic and charming shout from afar.

But the cloaked figure didn't even pause; in a flash, it turned into the alley.

Oh, right! I can shout too!

Chu Sheng suddenly remembered the Banshee skill he had acquired a few days ago.

The B-level skill, "The red light for turning left is the hardest to wait for!!!", emits a shriek that affects the target's mental state and has a 0.1% chance of instant death.

But the distance isn't enough!

He suddenly accelerated, and the attribute boosts provided by the low-level skills in the strategy manual were not just for show. At this moment, although his physical strength was still far behind that of Ella, it was already much stronger than that of an ordinary human.

Ella was sprinting forward when she suddenly heard footsteps rapidly approaching from behind. She turned around and saw that Chu Sheng had caught up with her, moving much faster than usual.

"Ella!"

Chu Sheng stretched out his hand, palm facing up, fingers spread.

"Throw away the silver leaf, take me with you!"

Wait, what?

Silver Leaf's pointed ears suddenly stood up, and before he could even open his mouth, he felt a lightness beneath him.

Without hesitation, Ella tilted her shoulder and flung her off. Silver Leaf drew an arc in the air, her emerald green braids and limbs spreading out, before she landed with a plop like a frog in the haystack at the alley entrance.

The haystacks were used to feed pack animals at the market. They were piled up very high, loose and soft, so falling into them didn't hurt.

Silver Leaf was completely swallowed by the hay, with only two pointed ears sticking out from the haystack, trembling blankly.

Immediately afterward, Ella moved without stopping, like a baton exchange in a relay race, reaching back with one hand to grab Chu Sheng's wrist and pulling him forward.

Chu Sheng used the momentum to leap up and landed steadily on her back. The two worked together seamlessly without even pausing.

"Full speed ahead!"

Ella landed on all fours at the same time, switching to a different running posture, and each step covered a distance far exceeding the length of her body.

Chu Sheng lay on her back, his arms around her neck, and could only squint as he looked at the alleyway that was getting closer and closer.

In a flash, the man and the dog disappeared into the alleyway.

The haystack was quiet for a few seconds.

Then a small gray hand reached out from the haystack, groping and parting the surface of the dry grass. After another rustling sound, Silverleaf's head finally popped out of the haystack.

Her long, emerald-green hair was tucked with golden hay, making her look from a distance like a potted plant that had been smashed.

Silver Leaf turned its head blankly, looking left and right, but the alley was empty and there was nothing there.

She spat out the bits of grass she had been eating: "Where is everyone?"

"I haven't gotten on the bus yet!"

At the other end of the alley.

The cat people may have some intolerable flaws, such as laziness, fickleness, and an irresistible attraction to catnip.

But no one can deny one thing: they are the best scouts on the land and the most troublesome hunters.

The cloaked figure wasn't any faster than Ella; once Ella unleashed her four-legged charge, she was fast enough to outrun most two-legged creatures.

But speed has never been the key to the cat people's survival; they rely on agility and terrifying intuition.

The cloaked figure moved through the alley, stepping from one wall to another, using the momentum to change direction, and lightly touching the top of the wall with his toes to turn into a side path.

The hem of her robe fluttered behind her, always maintaining a perfect, just-out-of-reach distance from Ella. The cloaked figure even had the leisure to scoop up an empty wooden bucket as she rounded a corner piled with clutter, and tossed it behind her without looking back.

Snapped!

Ella didn't slow down; she sent the wooden barrel flying with a single blow. The barrel exploded in mid-air, sending splinters flying everywhere.

The cloaked figure's hand moved again, this time with a tin bucket filled with swill. The bucket spun and flew over, the swill inside splashing in a murky arc, pouring over Ella and Chu Sheng's heads.

Chu Sheng lay on Ella's back and saw vegetable leaves, leftover rice, and an unidentified object that looked like it had been soaked.

Ella's instinct for self-preservation saved them at that moment. She swooped down almost touching the ground, the swill passing over Chu Sheng's head without getting a single drop on her.

then.

"Awooo—!!!"

Ella cried out in pain.

Chu Sheng clearly saw the reason. Due to the extremely sharp and deep dive, Ella's body was almost touching the ground.

And in this position, her two plump mounds of flesh, which had been looked up at by the silver leaves, inevitably became the parts closest to the ground.

They were flattened.

Chu Sheng lay on Ella's back, and could even see the soft outlines of her breasts spilling out from the sides of her back.

He felt a phantom pain in his chest and subconsciously looked down.

It's flat, safe, and you won't have this kind of trouble.
