This is why Black didn't intend to subdue these great pirates.
They often seem to be unable to understand human speech, and they like to risk their lives for all sorts of strange reasons.
These people are usually most concerned with things that are intangible and ethereal, which Blake simply cannot provide.
What they care least about is their own lives, which are not threatened at all.
Left with no other option, Aramaki had to use the Great Memory Restoration Technique on Moria.
After much searching, they finally found two Devil Fruits in a hidden compartment. Without hesitation, Aramaki turned and left, leaving Moria standing there with a bruised and swollen face.
After teasing Perona for a while, Blake was in a good mood. He left the cabin and saw Huang Mu flying from afar on Moonwalk, landing on the deck with two boxes in his hands.
"Your Highness, I have discovered two Devil Fruits on Moria's ship."
As he spoke, he handed the two boxes to Blake and opened them one by one.
Black looked over and saw that they were two Devil Fruits that looked quite familiar.
Paramecia-type Ghost-Ghost Fruit
Paramecia type: Clear-Clear Fruit.
It is the Devil Fruit of Perona and Absalom from the original work.
Chapter 10 The Cultured People of the Pirate World
"As expected, those two Devil Fruits were already in Moria's hands."
"It might have been dug out of some tomb."
After putting the box down, Blake gave Wilderness a word of praise:
"Well done. Did you have any conflict with Moria?"
Huang Mu's expression was somewhat disdainful:
"Your Highness, there was indeed a minor skirmish, but that guy's fighting ability was negligible. He didn't even have any domineering aura. I defeated him in just two moves."
This is actually a bit unfair to Moriah.
Even if Moria is weak, he's still a great pirate who's been around in the New World; he shouldn't be so weak as to not even know Haki.
However, the Haki setting felt forced. Moria lost his spirit after being beaten by Kaido, so naturally he couldn't use Haki.
Looking at it this way, it's clear that Kaido's teachings are not something an ordinary person can withstand.
"Moria lost his fighting spirit because his crew was killed by Kaido, but that doesn't mean all great pirates are only this bad."
After giving him a word of advice, and seeing that Huang Mu seemed to have taken it to heart, Blake didn't say anything more.
The days that followed returned to normal, and Blake resumed his life of training to become stronger and visiting different places to experience local customs and cultures.
The next day, before dawn, the sound of soft breathing could be heard coming from Stella's room.
Suddenly, her door opened, and Perona, with her pink hair, poked her head out, furtively looking around before letting out a sigh of relief when she saw no one was there.
"Finally, I've waited until there's no one around."
Perona clenched her little fists:
"That despicable fellow wants to make me his slave. I must escape when they're not looking."
She carried a small bundle, which she had somehow acquired, on her back, and nearly stumbled and fell.
"Damn it! Why is it so heavy?"
The bundle was filled with the little trinkets Stella had used to amuse her the previous afternoon. Perona picked and chose, finding that she couldn't bear to keep any of them, so she simply packed them all up and took them with her.
Gritting her teeth, Perona tiptoed out of the room and gently closed the door.
"Huh? Why has my shadow suddenly become so big?"
Moonlight spilled onto the ship, casting Perona's shadow on the door. Just as she closed the door, she noticed that her shadow had suddenly grown larger.
She cautiously turned her head and saw Blake standing behind her in his pajamas, his smile full of ill intent.
"I...I was just going to the restroom..."
Perona couldn't think of a clever excuse right away, so she decided to try anything, even if it seemed hopeless.
Blake nodded with a smile:
"Do you think I believe it or not?"
God the hell believed it.
Blake grabbed Perona and lifted her up, then went into the room.
"Damn it! Let me go!"
Perona, like a kitten, was held by the scruff of her neck by Blake's hand, yet she still struggled wildly.
Her voice startled Stella, who was fast asleep in the room, and she saw Blake carrying Perona toward her.
Just as she was about to bow, she saw that Blake completely ignored her, pressed Perona down on her bed, and slapped her succulents several times, making Perona's eyes fill with tears.
"Waaaaah... Damn it... I'll definitely escape..."
Snapped!Snapped!Snapped!
"Waaaaah... Stop hitting me... I'll never do it again!"
Two months later, Ohara, the Tree of Omniscience.
"Holy Saint Black, this is the Tree of Omniscience, which contains hundreds of thousands of books and important documents from scholars all over the world."
Beside Blake was a short man.
The man looked middle-aged, with his forehead shaved, leaving green hair on the top and back of his head, along with an exaggeratedly large beard, making him look like a clover.
He was wearing a red and white striped top, a wide belt, trousers, and a blue-black coat.
It was none other than the leader of the Ohara scholars: Claude D. Clover.
Commonly known as: Dr. Clover.
Sunlight streams evenly through specially made glass onto the bronze bookshelves, where 100,000 ancient books are categorized by subject, their spines inlaid with bronze plaques whose inscriptions gleam.
The suspended spiral bookshelf is forged from a special metal and covered with a matte coating to prevent rust.
Whether in his past or present life, this was the first time Blake had seen the interior of the Tree of Omniscience, and he was quite curious.
To be honest, the collection of less than one million books is not even comparable to any city library, but the size of the Tree of Omniscience and the modifications made to its interior by scholars of Ohara throughout the ages are still refreshing.
If Blake was like this, then Stella and Perona, who came along with him, must have been even more upset.
Wow! There are so many books here!
Perona was held in Blake's hand. Perona, who was less than a meter tall, looked like a giant hot dog in the hands of Blake, who was more than three meters tall.
Her eyes lit up as she looked around, shouting excitedly.
After two months of outwitting and outmaneuvering Black, Perona, who still couldn't escape from the Temple, was no longer afraid of him at all. She even frequently provoked him, making the ship's servants tremble with fear.
They were afraid that one day Blake would anger Perona and punish them.
Blake pinched Perona's cheek, making her pout again.
"This is probably the largest library besides Mary Geoise; there must be a lot of history books here, right?"
As he spoke, Blake glanced at Dr. Clover.
Dr. Clover broke out in a cold sweat.
What did he mean by that?
"Has the world government already discovered our actions?"
"No, if the World Government finds out about Olvia and the others, it's impossible for a Celestial Dragon to come here personally. Calm down... calm down..."
Despite his many thoughts running through his mind, Dr. Clover remained calm.
"What kind of history would Your Highness like to read? The books here are kept by scholars from all over the world."
"To my shame, even I haven't been able to read all the books in the Tree of Omniscience. I do have some history books, but I don't know if they meet Your Highness's needs."
Blake chuckled softly:
"Never mind then, I was just asking casually."
But in his heart he thought:
"This old man was portrayed as a bookworm in the original work, but I didn't expect him to be so quick-witted."
It's important to know that in the original story, before the Buster Call was launched, the World Government arranged for refugee ships to evacuate the civilians on the island.
But when the old man spoke to Satan, he talked for a long time, revealing all of Ohara's research findings.
Satan exclaimed, "Good heavens, you guys already know so much?"
That won't do; they must be completely wiped out.
Only then did he order the navy to destroy the refugee ship.
Because of this incident, Blake always thought Clover was an honest person.
But that's not important; Blake wasn't after him this time.
It is now the year 1499 of the Sea Calendar, and there is less than a year left before the destruction of Ohara. Robin should have basically completed her study of the ancient script, so Black decides to take her away first.
Firstly, having someone around who can decipher ancient texts can reduce a lot of trouble.
While there are certainly people within the World Government who understand ancient scripts, these are not people that Black, a Celestial Dragon from the "useless party," should associate with.
Secondly, Black quite liked Robin's personality in the original work.
Thirdly, Perona is, after all, a child. If she doesn't have a friend of similar age, she might develop the somewhat neurotic personality she had in the original story.
No matter what, she's still my little slave; it wouldn't be good if she developed psychological problems.
Chapter 11 This is the crushing power of knowledge from the civilized world
While Blake was thinking about Robin, Robin was secretly observing him from a short distance away.
"Is this the legendary Celestial Dragon? He doesn't seem as terrifying as described in the books."
"But Dr. Clover looks really nervous."
Black's Observation Haki could cover the entire island, so he naturally noticed Robin's covert observation. He turned his head and met a pair of dark eyes that shone with a purple light.
She was wearing a light-colored cotton short-sleeved shirt over a light blue shirt, with the cuffs rolled up, and there were faint ink stains and pencil marks on them.
He had a charcoal pencil and a kraft paper notebook tucked into his dark brown overalls, and wore a pair of straw sandals typical of Ohara scholars.
Her long, jet-black hair cascaded down like a waterfall, the naturally curly ends tied into a bow with a red ribbon, and several ginkgo leaf bookmarks from the Ohara Library were tucked into her hair.
The difference between his appearance after the bounty was placed on his head and his appearance afterward is like night and day.
Upon realizing he had been discovered, Robin was clearly startled and appeared somewhat nervous.
Having grown up near the Tree of Omniscience, she naturally understood what the Celestial Dragons meant.
Dr. Clover, who was explaining diligently, noticed Black's gaze shift and followed it, only to see Robin looking flustered. His heart skipped a beat.
Looking directly at a Celestial Dragon is a crime that is neither too serious nor too minor.
It's not that the punishment is insignificant, because the severity of the punishment depends entirely on the individual's whim.
It's not small, because most Celestial Dragons are brutal and readily take lives.
Back in the Kingdom of Taya, all the outstanding talents besides Huang Mu were executed by Blake's guards.
Without a second thought, Professor Clover immediately stood in front of Robin:
“Your Highness Black, it was our fault for failing to clear the library. I, this old man, take full responsibility for the mistake. Please forgive her rudeness.”
After saying that, he knelt down on the ground.
Blake scoffed.
It seems that Dr. Clover is still quite pragmatic until he reaches a dead end.
But he came for Robin anyway, so what's the point of punishing an old man?
