Quick mission: We don't make trouble

Chapter 258: Finding a Shop (5)

Chapter 258: Finding a Shop (5)

At noon, the three busy groups of people finally gathered in front of the pawnshop again.

As soon as everyone met, without any verbal communication, they could tell from each other's slightly gloomy faces that this house-viewing trip was not going well.

Zhu's father and mother were the first to speak about what they had seen. The house was indeed spacious and had many rooms, but the problem was that it was located in a remote area. When leaving, one had to turn left and right several times before reaching the main road, making transportation extremely inconvenient.

Zhu Yingying and Yu Bo then shared their experiences. The place they had been to was a complete disappointment, something they themselves despised, let alone their older sister, who always had high standards.

Finally, it was Zhu Qingqing's turn to speak. Although the place she visited had many houses, the yards were pitifully small and did not meet her requirements at all.

This is really the case of seeing is believing!

Seeing that the three of them were not satisfied with the houses they had viewed, the manager quickly said with a smile, "Don't worry, everyone. We have larger and better houses in our agency. How about I take you to look at a few more?"

At this time, Zhu Qingqing turned to look at everyone and asked for their opinions: "It's lunch time now. How about we go eat first, fill our stomachs, and then continue looking for a suitable place to stay?"

Father Zhu thought for a moment and nodded, saying, "Alright, let's eat first. We can also try the specialty dishes of the major restaurants in this city and broaden our horizons!"

Zhu Qingqing looked at Yang Wu with a smile and asked softly, "There's a restaurant owned by your Yang family in East City, right? How about we go there?"

Yang Wu nodded and answered readily, "No problem! Everything is up to you. I'll go and prepare it right away." After that, he turned to Yang Jiu and instructed, "Xiao Jiu, let's go to the Yang family's Pinxiang Garden."

Yang Jiu quickly responded, "Okay, Fifth Brother!"

He then joked, "Fifth brother, you are balancing public and private matters."

Yang Wu: "You're the only one who talks too much. Why don't you catch the bus?"

After Zhu Qingqing and her group boarded the carriage, Yang Wu thought for a moment and said, "When we pass by Zuifenglou later, Master Zhu, would you like to stop by and take a look?"

Zhu Qingqing nodded with interest and responded, "Well, since it's on the way, it wouldn't hurt to take a look."

Not long after, the carriage slowly drove to East Street and stopped steadily in front of Zuifeng Tower.

I saw that the door of Zuifenglou was closed, and it was obvious that it had stopped business.

Zhu Qingqing curiously leaned out of the car window and looked around. She couldn't help but sigh, "It's quite lively here, but it's a pity that the place is really small. Look, the shops on both sides of the road are filled with all kinds of stalls in front of them, so even a carriage can't stop here for long."

Yang Wushen echoed the same sentiment, "Yes, when I came here with the Second Master to attend the banquet before, I always parked the carriage outside East Street first, and then walked here."

Zhu Qingqing frowned slightly and continued thoughtfully, "An environment like this is really not very convenient for those wealthy officials. Especially those delicate women, I'm afraid they can't stand such inconvenience. The reason why this restaurant can continue to operate is probably because someone in the Song family is an official. Well, this place is not suitable for us to open a store. Let's get going quickly."

The carriages chug along East Street, their wheels rolling forward with a clear, rhythmic sound. Passersby on both sides of the street glanced sideways, watching the two plainly decorated carriages slowly pass by.

Soon, the carriage arrived before a magnificent, stately complex of buildings. Each building was tall and majestic, with flying eaves, brackets, carved beams, and painted buildings, exuding an air of wealth and luxury. Yang Wu pointed at the buildings and said, "Look, everyone! This is the renowned Xianwang Mansion. Further ahead are the various government offices." Everyone looked in the direction he pointed and was stunned by the sight before them.

The carriage then continued on its way and turned onto West Street. This street was just as lively as East Street, with shops lining the streets and people coming and going, the sounds of shouting and bargaining echoing one after another, filled with the atmosphere of the city life.

Not far away, a quaint two-story pavilion came into view. Above the doorway hung a large plaque, inscribed in flamboyant calligraphy: "Pinxiang Garden." This, it turned out, was the renowned restaurant owned by the Yang family.

The carriage stopped steadily at the gate of Pinxiang Garden. A smart waiter had already come forward, recognized Yang Wu, and respectfully called him "Master Wu".

They quickly placed the stools and stood respectfully by the side, waiting for the guests to get off the carriage. After everyone got off the carriage in turn, the waiters quickly drove the carriage to another place for safekeeping.

Yang Wu stepped forward and asked one of the waiters, "Are there any private rooms upstairs?" The waiter, with a smile on his face, nodded and replied, "Master Wu, you're here. Even if there aren't any, we'll have to make room for you, right?" Yang Wu glared at him and said in feigned anger, "Stop talking nonsense to me and lead the way." The waiter didn't dare to neglect him and quickly turned and ran into the store, shouting, "Boss, boss, Master Wu is here!"

Suddenly, there was an urgent shout, and the shopkeeper hurried out from the inner room after hearing the sound. Zhu Qingqing looked up curiously and was surprised to find that the shopkeeper was actually a woman!

The shopkeeper was dressed in a simple and elegant dress, with a graceful figure and a pretty face. At this moment, she was looking at Yang Wu with a smile on her face, and her eyes seemed to contain deep affection, as warm and gentle as the spring sun.

I only heard her calling softly, "Boss, you're finally back." Her voice was crisp and pleasant, as beautiful as the sound of a yellow oriole singing out of a valley.

Yang Wu nodded slightly in response, then turned to the female shopkeeper and introduced: "Yunniang, these are the distinguished guests of your mansion, and you must not neglect them in the slightest." His words revealed his respect and importance for the guests.

The female shopkeeper quickly responded, "Okay, boss, don't worry." Then, she turned to Doctor Zhu, Doctor Chen, Master Zhu, and the others with a smile, and greeted them warmly, "Dear guests, please follow me."

Seeing this, Yang Wu turned sideways and gracefully gestured to the people behind him, inviting them in. He then said in a clear voice, "Doctor Zhu, Doctor Chen, Master Zhu, and all my friends, please come in."

So, under the attentive guidance of the shop assistants and the cordial accompaniment of the shopkeeper, the group filed in and slowly walked into the store called Pinxiangyuan.
