Chapter 367: Good Morning
Chapter 367: Good Morning
Chapter 367: Good MorningArabella woke up early at dawn wrapped in Ferdinand’s arms.
No wonder it felt so warm.
She would probably not feel cold despite several layers of blankets during winter if she had him by his side.
Her body had been sensitive to the cold since she was young. Something she inherited from her mother.
This was among the concerns Aletha addressed when she arrived at Riva.
Aletha informed the other maids to always dress Arabella warmly, or bring something for her when it gets even just a bit cold.
It was still summer so she was suffering from the heat, but once winter comes, she would feel even worse.
It was rather quite a contradiction that she married someone who had once been an ice dragon when she was sensitive to the cold.
But Ferdinand wasn’t in the least bit cold.
His body was always warmer than hers and he warmed her up whenever they were together.
Somehow, it always felt warm when he was around.
Since when did it begin?
She couldn’t even remember anymore.
Just last night, he was so hot and shared his warmth with her. They spent hours doing naughty things.
When Ferdinand got over his embarrassment, he used her ability to show her a lot of things he had been fantasizing to do to her.
There were a lot of positions she had never experienced before so she knew he learned those from the "educational books" he had been reading about lovemaking.
Ferdinand forgot about all those books back in his room in Riva since he hadn’t read them since they traveled to Medeus.
But once they go back, she was sure he would try to explain why he read those.
It hadn’t crossed his mind that he had been thinking about what he learned from those books now and then when he was thinking about what to do to her.
Especially months ago, when they hadn’t done anything yet.
. . .
Arabella wanted to stay in his arms a bit more, but they had a lot of work to do.
They were also scheduled to see off the Zygos delegates this morning.
She’d rather not see King Chester again along with his disrespectful and lewd gazes, but this was already scheduled days ago.
Zygos and Eliora had agreed to be allies so they had to go for show.
They were not yet part of the Council, but she knew Ferdinand would rather show up than seem like a coward.
The Council members had heard that Chester had expressed his interest in Arabella directly to Ferdinand.
After all, some heard their conversation last time, so rumors had spread.
If Ferdinand doesn’t show up, it would look like he was the one who’s backing down.
Thus, he already planned to see off Chester and Fatima along with the other royals.
It was to show that he didn’t mind fighting with Chester at all and that he wasn’t afraid of him.
Ferdinand was confident since just seeing Chester irritated Arabella a lot. She had made it clear she would never be interested in that man.
.
.
.
"Good morning," Arabella turned around and greeted her husband.
As usual, he pretended to be asleep when he felt that she had woken up.
He kept doing this several times already just to know if she would do something while he was asleep.
She did enjoy having the chance to adore his face.
His lashes were long, and his brows were thick.
His sharp nose was in perfect symmetry with the shape of his face.
And his lips, his naughty lips were full.
She reached out and gently caressed them with the tips of her fingers.
These naughty lips always tease her a lot.
’So soft.’
She couldn’t help but give him a light peck.
When he didn’t react, she gave another and let it linger for a few seconds.
When she stopped and pulled away, Ferdinand finally opened his eyes.
He leaned in to kiss her since he wanted more.
"See? I knew you were awake," Arabella grinned.
"Good morning, Arabella," he pronounced her name with such love in his eyes.
’He’s just saying my name! Why is my heart racing?’
"I’d love to wake up like this every single day of my life," Ferdinand gave her another kiss.
Her husband loved that she kissed him first thing in the morning upon waking up.
She gulped due to his gaze.
It suddenly felt like her throat was dry.
Her husband was becoming sweeter and sweeter every single day. It’s dangerous for her heart.
"You were already awake though.
Why do you sleep so little?
You are in your human body, remember?
You have to sleep for at least several hours a day."
Arabella caressed his cheeks, and a beautiful smile crossed his lips.
"I know. I have been sleeping a lot since I met you," he tilted his face to kiss her palm.
[Before I met her, I used to sleep just two to three hours every other day or none at all for three days or more.
But Raymond said humans are particular with looks and I always have dark circles under my eyes.
He said it didn’t look good, so I had to sleep at least two or three hours a day.]
’He truly was trying to kill himself.
Who would survive on a sleep like that?
It’s simply cruel for a human body to be treated like that.’
"That’s still too little," Arabella commented, and Ferdinand flinched when he recalled she could hear his thoughts.
"I sleep a lot more now ever since I have been sleeping in your room," Ferdinand quickly clarified.
He said that the sound of her breathing and her scent helps lull him to sleep. And when they began being intimate, he slept even better.
Back in his dragon form, he usually slept after several years of staying awake and his sleep take years as well.
He said his sleep could even last a decade or more.
Thus, when he was in a human body, he found it bothersome to have to sleep and eat every single day.
It took Raymond nagging him a lot before he got used to it.
Arabella couldn’t help but be grateful Raymond was there to point things out to Ferdinand.
