Chapter 1496: Moving Out
Chapter 1496: Moving Out
Morgan Ashworth walked out, standing under the vintage palace lanterns in the corridor, looking at Willow Crawford ahead.
Mrs. Webb had already opened the rear car door, and before Willow got in, she glanced at him, her bright, watery eyes looking his way.
For a brief moment, their eyes met, then Willow looked away, bending down to enter the luxury car.
The luxury car sped away with her.
She was gone.
Truly gone.
Morgan Ashworth stood there for a long time, watching the direction where Willow had disappeared.
Just then, Wesley Kingsley walked over, "Master Morgan, what does this mean between you and Princess Willow? Is Princess Willow still holding onto old feelings for you?"
Morgan Ashworth showed no emotion, responding faintly, "It has nothing to do with her, it’s all me."
Wesley looked at the man beside him; was he this protective that he couldn’t bear anyone saying anything bad about her? She thought no matter how hard she tried, she would never reach his side.
"Master Morgan, our wedding is imminent, yet you and Princess Willow seem to be entangled. I don’t know what you are thinking."
Morgan Ashworth glanced at Wesley, "Can you accept a marriage that could be unfaithful at any time?"
Wesley was taken aback.
Morgan said nothing more, he went into the villa, leaving only a long silence and an unbridgeable chasm between the two.
...
Morgan Ashworth returned to the room, and tonight he did not go to the study but stayed in this bedroom.
The bedroom still seemed to have traces of her scent; she had just been here.
Morgan Ashworth took a shower and then lay on the bed. He fell asleep and dreamt of Willow Crawford.
The long black hair of Willow was spread all over the white pillowcase. Her small hands hugged his neck, constantly calling his name, Morgan~ Morgan~
He reached out, holding her tightly in his arms.
Just like that, he suddenly opened his eyes.
It was already late at night, the room was dark, the world silent. He lay on his side, maintaining the posture of an embrace, but his arms were empty, with no one, no Willow.
She was only in his dream.
The loneliness in Morgan Ashworth’s heart suddenly magnified infinitely. At first, all this could be endured, but now he suddenly couldn’t bear the emptiness in his arms and the long, lonely night.
Was it because she had come before?
She came, gave him hope, so he completely forgot the pain he once suffered, wanting to move closer to her, even though he knew he was losing dignity, he crushed all his pride and arrogance, wanting only to stay beside her.
The elders often said he was a hopeless romantic, wasn’t he?
In the morning, Eleven entered the master bedroom to find Morgan Ashworth already awake, standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, not knowing what he was looking at.
"Master, you called for me?" Eleven spoke.
Morgan didn’t move, lightly parting his thin lips, "Contact the Crawford family, just say..."
Say what?
Eleven’s heart tensed up along with him. He found Willow was like a vixen; whenever she came by, she could firmly grasp their master’s heart.
"Just say, the child she’s carrying is also my flesh and blood. We originally agreed this child would be mine, and I can’t rest easy leaving the child somewhere else, so... I want to bring Willow back."
What?
The master wanted to bring Willow back?
Eleven was shocked, what did he just say? Willow had practically cast a spell on the master. Never mind that the master talked a big game, using the child as an excuse, but in truth, he just wanted to bring Willow back.
But Eleven only dared to keep these thoughts inside, not daring to voice his opinion, "Yes, Master."
...
Serena Sterling quickly received the call, the intention of Morgan Ashworth to bring Willow back had already been conveyed.
Hayden Crawford laughed, "This Master Morgan is quite interesting."
Serena Sterling hung up the phone, raising an eyebrow as she looked at her husband, "What’s interesting about Master Morgan?"
"Serena, don’t you think Master Morgan is like a clingy plaster, however you try, you can’t shake him off? Of course, I don’t mean that in a negative way, just that he’s really attached to our Willow."
"Seems like you’re quite pleased with this son-in-law, huh?"
Hayden Crawford wrapped his arm around his wife’s shoulders, "Aren’t you?"
Serena Sterling smiled. Just by Morgan Ashworth’s thoughts towards Willow, they could see as parents, it was hard not to be satisfied.
"Pack up your things."
"Pack up for what?"
"Prepare to move. If we don’t move, I reckon this Master Morgan will come to snatch her away, so we can only take Willow and leave here. Willow’s health can’t have any slip-ups," Serena said, furrowing her brow.
Hayden Crawford listened to his wife in everything, nodding, "Alright."
Serena Sterling went to Willow Crawford’s place; Willow was already awake, wearing a loose white dress, with her dark hair down, continuing to make baby shoes.
"Willow, how are you feeling today?"
Willow smiled, "Mommy, I’m feeling fine, don’t worry."
Serena Sterling looked at the healthy glow on her daughter’s cheeks. Willow had been pale for some time, but after her visit to Morgan Ashworth, it was as if she had taken some miracle cure; her complexion greatly improved, like a rejuvenated begonia.
Serena sighed; love indeed is the best medicine in this world. If it weren’t for Willow’s health, she would gladly see this through.
"Willow, there’s news from Master Morgan again."
Willow’s lashes fluttered, "What did he say?"
"He said he’s worried about leaving the child with us, that he wants to bring you back."
Bring her back?
Willow’s heart was moved, what was he thinking?
Serena held Willow’s small hand, "Willow, yesterday I let you go out with Master Morgan, but it wasn’t for you to do something reckless. Your body can’t handle it now, I absolutely can’t let him take you back."
Given Morgan Ashworth’s impulsive nature, she didn’t know what would happen once Willow was taken back.
Willow’s face turned red; she knew she had made a mistake, "Mommy, I know, I’m sorry, it won’t happen again."
"I’ve already asked your daddy to prepare for moving. We have to leave here, go to a place where Master Morgan can’t find us, so you can quietly nurture the baby."
Move?
Willow suddenly felt reluctant. Once they move, he won’t be able to find her. Would he worry?
"I’ll leave a message for Master Morgan, to give him the child after you give birth. So Willow, come with me."
Willow knew she had no choice now; she didn’t want to make her parents worry anymore. For the sake of the baby in her belly, even though she was reluctant to leave Morgan Ashworth, she could only nod, "Alright, I’ll go with you."
