Chapter 1002 - 961: A Mother’s Favoritism
Though she said so with her mouth, her face bore a happy smile. Which woman doesn’t want to be pampered by a man? Even someone like Vivian Abbey, a sophisticated urban woman like a "white-collar elite."
"Women, be kind to yourselves."
"Hmm, I need to treat myself better now." Vivian Abbey touched the pendant on her necklace, her smile sweet.
The reception room arrived. Sienna Johnson put away her smile and put on another mask before entering. In front of the client, she was President Johnson of Eastminster Group, not Adrian Desmond’s wife, not a mother to her child.
"President Davis, I’m sorry to have kept you waiting." Sienna Johnson walked in, smiling as she explained to him.
President Davis is the boss of Everview Pharmaceuticals, and he acts as an agent for about a third of Eastminster Pharmaceutical Factory’s medicines.
"I just saw your husband holding your son as they were going out. My wife also just gave birth. I can understand; it must be tiring for you, President Johnson," President Davis said understandingly.
"President Davis recently had a daughter, congratulations, congratulations. Remember to send me an invitation when she turns one month old."
"Certainly, certainly."
Sienna Johnson had just learned from Tessa Harrington that President Davis had a daughter. Tessa was very good at finding out these sorts of things, like who had a daughter or a son, who’s just gotten married, who is about to celebrate a birthday, who’s getting promoted...
Talking about recent events before discussing business makes the other party feel noticed and respected, making the subsequent conversation much smoother.
"Congratulations to us both."
President Davis and Mrs. Harris have a very good relationship. Even though Mrs. Harris had a daughter, President Davis loved his wife and extended extra affection to their daughter as well.
Sienna Johnson, mingling in the business world, had seen men support mistresses outside, yet President Davis was a refreshing exception; he often brought his wife along for social events.
President Davis said that his fortune was brought by his wife, so he wanted to bring her out to see the world.
"I’ve come to see President Johnson this time to discuss the overseas agency rights for Eastminster Pharmaceutical Factory’s medicine..." President Davis transitioned to the main topic.
"Overseas agency rights?" Sienna Johnson asked in surprise.
"Yes! I’m planning to explore the market in Mousden, initially introducing Traditional Medicine to the Mousden market, and then gradually promoting it throughout all of Avrupa." President Davis spoke of his plan, his manner confident, and his tone full of ambition.
Sienna Johnson did not immediately respond.
Western and Eastern physiques differ, and she wasn’t sure if Western people could accept Traditional Medicine, which has slower efficacy but fewer side effects.
Sienna Johnson expressed her concerns, "When I was in college, I read a report that said in the West they consider Traditional Medicine as witchcraft. Compared to such medicine, they trust Modern Medicine more.
President Davis’s idea is good, but is he sure the West can accept Traditional Medicine?"
"That’s why I plan to first introduce a combination of modern and Traditional Medicine... Even if President Johnson doesn’t trust me, you should trust the medicines produced by your own factory."
Sienna Johnson met President Davis’s determined gaze, her heart stirred. Over the years, she had established a firm foothold in Sileria City and was planning to expand outward.
Promoting the "Eastminster" brand nationwide, out of Agaia, and into the global market had always been her father’s wish, and it was also her dream.
"President Davis, I’m not clear about the specifics, so I can’t give you an answer now. Do you have a proposal? If so, have your secretary send me a proposal. After I read it, I will make a decision."
Sienna Johnson was cautious, after all, if President Davis didn’t manage well and damaged the brand in the Mousden market, it would require significant effort to reestablish it later.
"Naturally, that’s no problem."
The two discussed some more details, and Sienna Johnson escorted President Davis out. As he left, President Davis left a detailed proposal. Sienna Johnson was about to take a closer look when a woman burst into her office shouting.
"President Johnson, she’s Secretary Scarlet’s mother. She insisted on coming in, and I couldn’t stop her..." Tessa introduced nervously.
Vivian Abbey had worked at Eastminster Group for years and held significant authority. The security guard, concerned as this was Vivian Abbey’s mother, was lenient, which allowed her to rush in. If it were someone else, the security guard would have thrown them out long ago.
Tessa watched Sienna Johnson’s increasingly authoritative face, her heart pounding, afraid that Sienna Johnson would blame her for not stopping the person.
"I know."
Sienna Johnson saw it was Vivian Abbey’s mother and treated her with more courtesy, "Hello, Aunt. Secretary Scarlet went to the Finance Bureau today and probably won’t be back this afternoon. If it’s urgent, you can call her."
