Chapter 1063 The Oven Invasion
Chapter 1063 The Oven Invasion
"For that, we'll have to wait and see..." Arad stretched his arms, "Hati has opened the barrier. It seems that the situation had calmed outside." He looked back and Kali nodded, "With how careful Aunt Hati is everything should have settled down."
"So we're finally getting out of this bath." Aella grabbed Arad by the arm, "Where should we go now?"
"Want to fly somewhere?" Arad looked at her and Kali giggled on the side, "It's not like Hati's house is big enough. If you want to have some fun then you better go somewhere else."
"To where?"
"Don't you have two whole layers in the abyss? I'm sure the demons have already cleaned Sawless's house. You might not know this, but demons are hard workers, their life depends on it." Kali scratched her chin.
In the abyss, it was common that most jobs and missions that demons get from their demon lords are death or life. If a maid was asked to clean a castle quarter by the end of the day and she didn't, most likely she would've been killed and another maid brought in. Demons don't understand reason by nature and they need to learn it, for them, the first maid wasn't strong enough to clean the floor so they better get a better one.
"You're right! Sawless's castle is as big as a massive city." Arad walked to the changing room as everyone started getting ready. He instantly wore his clothes directly from his stomach, since he was the one here who couldn't wait.
"I'm coming with you." Kali had already worn her clothes and stood beside him, but it was then that Tina called to them, "Take her with you." She pushed Lamy to them. Unlike everyone else and thanks to her unique body it didn't take her long to change.
"What?" Lamy gasped, looking back at Tina.
"Get her to see her family. For someone who never left her house her whole life, she had endured enough." Tina approached Arad, "She might not show it, but she misses her family a lot."
"Of course." Arad replied but suddenly halted, "Wait, how should I go to the abyss? Just teleport like the last time?"
"We'll, for demons lords there are some quirks." Kali swung her palm down and opened a portal, "This would lead directly into your layer. But keep in mind that while all demon lords can freely teleport from this world to the abyss, teleporting from the abyss to here is quite hard and poses a lot of dangers." She giggled, "Unless I allow it of course."
Arad, Kali, and Lamy walked into the portal first while all of Arad's wives wore their clothes to get ready. The moment they landed they found themselves on one of Sawless's castle balconies, now it was Arad's castle, no, Arad's abyssal castle.
A dry, moldy air with a jet-black sky roaring with white thunder and lightning. The stone city beneath the castle's shadow bustled with horrid life, millions of demons lived their life, suffering, dying, and fighting for their share of this layer. The mere air here was enough to cause a man's skin to rot and fall on the spot, but to monsters like Arad and Kali, this was nothing.
"MASTER!" Lamy cried, pointing at the horizon as she leaned on the edge of the balcony, her eyes almost popping out. While fights and death covered the whole layer, that was a normal thing here, where Lamy pointed out something different. The magic there seemed a bit strange, demonic but not something native to Arad's two layers{He has Alaric and Sawless layers.}
Kali shifted into her little girl form and jumped on his shoulder, taking a seat, "Let's go check it out!" She pointed and then looked at Lamy, "You better hold on well."
The demons looked at him confused and he sighed, "Fine! I said it because I mean he is worth nothing, a scam, a fraud, that's why he'll make good snake oil!" He then swung his arm.
"Fuck it! Charge!"
But at that moment, a shadow twisted in the sky and the armies halted as they felt a powerful aura appear. From the black cloud, Arad slowly descended as he landed between the two arms, silently landing on the ground.
The invading army's magicians immediately tried to assess Arad's power and the result looked strange.
When they tried to assess Lamy's power they got a mixed result, half human half demon with a messy and weak base. Even the weakest soldier in the army was at least a hundred times stronger than her.
When they tried to assess Arad they failed, their demonic crystal orbs cracked and the mages felt a painful headache hitting them. This reaction was expected when assessing a demon lord, which means Arad is a real threat to them.
But when they tried to assess Kali, the orb didn't break but instead displayed a message, an image of little Kali making an X with her arms and showing a displeased expression. The word NO is written in red above her head.
While most mages looked at the orb in confusion, their oldest and wisest immediately knelt down, pulled a knife, and stabbed himself in the heart, screaming at the top of his lungs, "I BEG FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS!"
Kali waved her finger and the old mage's corpse flew to her. She looked at him for a second and flicked her fingers, bringing him back to life. "Hoo...how old are you, grandpa?"
"Six thousand years old." He replied with a terrified face and she put him down, "Go to the army over there." She pointed toward Kodono and Grambleg. As the old demon rushed toward them they let him pass. Those knew who Kali was and wouldn't dare object to anything.
Lamy rushed to her father and Kali jumped down from Arad's shoulder, "That oven isn't fully a demon." She pointed at the oven and then rushed back to the army, leaving Arad alone on the battlefield between the two armies.
"Well, well, well..." Arad looked at the invaders with a smile, "Which layer do you come from, little oven?"
"The one below." The oven replied with a smile, "And soon I'll belong to this layer."
"If that's the case then you can leave without much of a loss. I have more...pressing... matters to take care of. But if you dare try to waste my time...you'll end up in a lot of pain, especially you." He looked at the oven with a smile.
"You're powerful, but don't misunderstand, we came here ready to deal with two demon lords, not just one. You and that army over there? Not enough to stop us, not a hundred years." The oven giggled.
"Oh really?" Blood gushed out from beneath Arad's feet and spanned behind him. "Blood for the blood Lord!" A woman's voice boomed from the sky.
