At 6:9 AM on September 23, the next day, William personally launched the operation.
Unaware of the danger, Raccoon City sanitation workers drove a water truck out of their garage and headed towards the sleeping Raccoon City.
At 7:00 AM sharp, the first wave of the virus was released into the air with the morning watering.
The end of Raccoon City has officially begun. (bcbj)
In the morning, office workers eat hamburgers or other breakfasts and take crowded buses or school buses to their workplaces or schools.
William the cunning man manipulated the time between infection and outbreak of the T-virus and ghost blood in the prepared synthetic drug. He deliberately delayed the zombie transformation of those infected with the T-virus by 3 hours, which was 10 a.m., during the morning work hours.
Upon returning to Fujimi Academy, Zhou Ye was immediately struck by a sense of impending doom. Instinctively, he used his phone to notify Shinobu Kocho, Kanao Tsuyuki, and Saeko Busujima, warning them to be extremely careful. He sensed that an unknown crisis was brewing in an unseen place.
At 10:05 a.m., outside the gate of Fujimi Academy, several white or black men dressed in suits were blindly and foolishly banging on the iron gate fence. Such behavior naturally attracted the attention of security guards and patrolling teachers.
They couldn't help but step forward to reprimand the men who were banging on the iron fence. Some security guards even drew their pistols or shotguns to stop them, otherwise it would be considered a campus shooting and they would have to exercise their right to self-defense.
While teaching a physical education class, Zhou Ye looked towards the school gate in the direction of the sound and spotted a man knocking on the fence. His posture and whispers reminded Zhou Ye of the opening scene of Highschool of the Dead, and now the classic scene was being replayed!
He hurriedly dialed the phone to Nami, Saeko Busujima, Shinobu Kocho, and others, telling them that the situation had suddenly changed, a biohazard had broken out, and that they should be careful of their surroundings and people. If there was any problem, they should immediately shoot them in the head.
"All students, stop class immediately, return to the changing room, change your clothes quickly, and go back to the classroom. Also, prepare to block the classroom doors to prevent any unforeseen events."
Gunshots rang out on campus, causing an uproar.
Zhou Ye put down his whistle, his brows furrowed. He looked at the men in suits with blank expressions at the edge of the playground, his pupils suddenly contracting.
"All students, immediately return to the changing room and change your clothes! Then head straight to the classroom! Do not linger!"
Zhou Ye raised his voice, which carried across the entire playground.
The students looked at each other, and one of them muttered, "Is Teacher Zhou in a bad mood again?"
"Bang!" Another gunshot.
"Did you hear me? Let's move now!"
Zhou Ye took out his phone and quickly dialed Nami's number. "Nami, the biohazard has broken out. Where are you?"
"He's in the school clinic. What's wrong, boss?"
Nami's voice came through the phone.
"There are a lot of zombies outside the school gate, and the security guards have already opened fire. Block the classroom doors to ensure the students' safety. I'm going to find Poison Island."
Zhou Ye hung up the phone and dialed Saeko Busujima's number again.
"Teacher Zhou, I just heard gunshots." Saeko Busujima answered the phone, her tone unusually calm.
"There are zombies outside the school gate, where are you?"
"Kendo Club Training Room. Shall we have a sparring session?"
Saeko Busujima's tone was filled with excitement.
"Don't act rashly. Make sure you're safe first. People are the most dangerous thing in the chaos. Then, assemble at the principal's office. I'll go and inform Shinobu Kocho."
Zhou Ye hung up the phone again and dialed Shinobu Kocho's number.
The students had all left, leaving him alone in the center of the playground. The call connected, but all he could hear on the other end was faint breathing.
"Shinobu Kocho?"
“Mr. Zhou, I have already seen it.”
Shinobu's voice was very soft.
“I was monitoring Doma’s movements in places where he often appeared, and I never expected this to happen.”
"Was it dried by Douma?"
"I don't know, but it's very likely related to him. Kurihana is contacting the other Demon Slayer Corps members in Raccoon City. You guys need to ensure the students' safety first."
Zhou Ye hung up the phone and quickly ran towards the teaching building. The noise outside the school gate grew louder and louder, and several screams pierced the sky.
Inside the teaching building, students looked out the windows and discussed among themselves.
"Attention, all students!"
Zhou Ye walked into the corridor and raised his voice.
"Everyone back in the classroom, lock the doors and windows! Do not go out without permission!"
A student asked curiously:
"Teacher Zhou, what's happening outside?"
"It could be a terrorist attack. Do as I say and stay calm."
Zhou Ye pushed open the door of the nearest classroom, where students were peering out the window to watch the commotion.
"Everyone get out of the windows! Move the desks to the doorway to block the view!"
The students looked at each other, and some retorted:
"Teacher Zhou, aren't you too nervous? It's probably just the police arresting a criminal..."
Zhou Ye walked to the window and pointed outside the school gate:
"Look closely, are those police arresting criminals?"
Outside the window, several men in suits were biting a security guard who had fallen to the ground, and blood stained the ground.
The students gasped, and some screamed.
"Do you believe me now? Move the tables and block the door!" Zhou Ye turned around and quickly directed the students to act.
Suddenly, the school's public address system blared, and Principal Yuriko Takashiro's voice echoed throughout every corner:
"Attention all teachers and students, the school is under a state of emergency. All personnel must remain in their current positions, close doors and windows, and await further instructions. Repeat, the school is under a state of emergency..."
Zhou Ye took out his phone and sent a message to Nami: "Go find Principal Gao Cheng and tell her what's going on. I'm going to the front gate to check."
He strode out of the classroom and ran towards the stairwell. As soon as he reached the first floor, he saw several boys trying to open the front door.
"stop!"
Zhou Ye shouted sternly
"What are you doing?"
A tall boy turned around:
"Teacher Zhou, we need to go out and see what's going on!"
"There are zombies everywhere outside, do you want to die?"
"Zombies?"
The boys burst into laughter.
"Teacher Zhou, have you been playing too many zombie games?"
Just then, a bloody hand reached in through the crack in the door and grabbed the ankle of the boy closest to the door.
"Ah!" the boy cried out and stepped back, but was grabbed tightly.
Zhou Ye strode forward and stomped on the arm. With a crisp "bang," the arm broke, but it still clung to the boy.
"Do you believe me now?" Zhou Ye grabbed the boy and pulled him back.
"Everyone back to the classroom!"
The boys turned pale with fright, nodded quickly, and ran away.
Zhou Ye walked to the door and looked outside through the glass door. More than twenty zombies had gathered at the school gate, banging against the iron fence with dull thuds.
Several corpses lay on the ground, their blood staining the earth. One of the corpses twitched, then slowly rose and joined the ranks of those ramming against the fence.
"resident Evil…"
Zhou Ye murmured.
Just as he was about to turn around, his phone rang. It was Nami.
"Boss, no one's in the principal's office. Yuriko Takagi isn't here. I ran into Busujima in the hallway. She said the kendo club students are all safe."
"You two come to the front door on the first floor, the situation here is not good."
After hanging up the phone, Zhou Ye saw two uniformed security guards running towards the door.
"Don't open the door!" Zhou Ye shouted, but it was already late.
The security guard drew his sidearm, opened the gate, and opened fire on the zombies outside. "Bang! Bang!" Two shots rang out, hitting two zombies in the chest, but the zombies only swayed and continued forward.
"Shoot them in the head!" Zhou Ye shouted, but it was already too late.
The horde of zombies surged through the gate, and the security guards panicked, retreating hastily. One guard was tackled to the ground, his scream echoing through the hall. Another guard struggled desperately, but was quickly surrounded as well.
Zhou Ye retreated to the stairwell and took out his phone:
"Nami, Busujima, don't go through the front door on the first floor! The zombies have already gotten in! Meet up through the back door!"
He quickly went upstairs, cautiously observing his back. The screams in the lobby on the first floor gradually subsided, replaced by the low growls and footsteps of zombies.
At the end of the second-floor corridor, Nami and Saeko Busujima walked towards them.
"Boss!"
Nami shouted,
"how is the situation?"
"The first floor has been overrun; zombies have entered." Zhou Ye strode towards them.
"Bukushima, did you bring your sword?"
Saeko Busujima gripped the wooden sword in her hand tightly:
"That's all. Should we go to the kendo club to get the real sword?"
"No rush. Are the students all safe?"
"The teachers have already locked the students in their classrooms,"
Nami answered
"But some students still didn't believe it and secretly ran out."
