Chapter 467: Conversation with Madam Talzin

In the village, the people who came with Quicksilver finally met the local tribal leader.

The other clan members were armed to prevent any unfavorable actions by the Jedi and the Avengers.

As Wanda had said, Talzin greeted the Jedi Master as they were led into her cabin.

"Hello, Master Kenobi." Talzin greeted politely.

"Thank you for your kindness, Madam Talzin," Obi-Wan responded in a diplomatic tone.

"I'm sure you have some questions for me." There was a sense of foreknowledge in her words.

"Actually there are a lot of questions." Daredevil's words caught Talzin's attention.

"Who is this?" she asked curiously, pointing at the blind Avenger.

"My name is Matt Murdock," Daredevil replied in a professional and confident tone, "I'm a friend of theirs, accompanying them on their investigation. We've received reports of a Dathomir male on the loose."

"He has killed some Jedi," Obi-Wan added. "Perhaps you know who he is?"

"Jedi Master, the power of the Jedi Knights is not something we can control." Talzin changed the subject somewhat perfunctorily.

"Madam, please do not play innocent with me." Obi-Wan pressed, "Everyone in the galaxy knows that women are dominant on this planet. I don't believe that anything unknown will happen here when other clans know about it."

Talzin smiled at this. "Oh, you are so adorably naive. Do Jedi just gather facts from rumors?"

"Rumors..." Anakin began to get restless and stood up from the team. "What are those rumors about the Jedi Knights you mentioned?"

Obi-Wan pulled Anakin back to his feet, glanced at him, and then turned his attention back to Talzin.

"This guy...this dangerous person is very scary. If you have any information about his whereabouts, you must tell us." Obi-Wan said in a tougher tone.

"We want to be able to help, but we've been having a lot of trouble lately and a lot of things may have slipped through our fingers," Talzin explained.

"Is there anything you can do to help?" Daredevil asked.

Through this conversation and exchange, everyone hoped to get clues from Talzin about the Dathomir man who was at large. Talzin stared at the man with a calm expression, trying to find a way to discern his intentions, but his resolute face did not reveal any information.

"There is a Nightsister on this planet. She is not only a threat to my people, but also a direct threat to the life of the entire planet." Talzin said slowly. "If you see her, you must destroy her. Wanda Maximoff will tell you the specific details."

After learning of the appearance of Gelserion, the tribe leaders concentrated most of their forces on Dathomir to find her whereabouts. It turned out that she had distorted her whereabouts and sneaked into other corners of the galaxy.

With the ancient sorceress on the loose, she's a potential danger to everyone, so directing that threat toward the Jedi and targeting Gerthzerion will make things easier to handle in the long run.

The three of them looked at each other, their hearts full of doubts.

"Arrests are more my specialty, but we will do our part," Daredevil spoke for the Jedi. "Now, we promise to help you. Please tell us what we need to know, for in these critical times, lives are at stake."

Madam Talzin nodded and walked over to the table and sat down. Her crystal ball was placed on the table and she began to whisper a short spell.

A moment later, a majestic Zabrak figure appeared before the two Jedi Knights, wielding a double-sided red lightsaber.

"The beast you seek is heading for Toydaria." Matron Talzin's voice was soft but clear to the three. "That's all I can do for you."

Obi-Wan said gratefully, "Thank you, Madam Talzin." Then, he hesitated, "Let's—"

"Before you go, Jedi Master," the Night Witch spoke, causing the three to pause. "I have a question for you. It has come to my attention that there is another being traveling with you, one whose speed is beyond anything we know of. One who shares the same bloodline as Wanda Maximoff."

"That's her twin brother, Pietro." Anakin frowned.

Now, a frown appeared on Talzin's face.

"All right……"

"Yes," Daredevil replied firmly, "We plan to take Wanda with us. She is not only our friend, but also a member of the Avengers. The rest of the team is looking for her, and the entire galaxy is looking for her."

They could see that the Nightsister leader was not in favor of the idea.

"I understand that you may have become dependent on her presence, and she has become a friend of your clan." Daredevil said in a calm and serious tone, "But Wanda is well aware that her friends are looking for her, and she is eager to return with us."

"What makes you so sure of this?"

“Intuition,” Daredevil replied, “Wanda would be more than willing to come with us once we told her about the threat we were facing.

"What about the two children she adopted?"

"About the Avengers adopting two children," Anakin asked sarcastically, "It's become their custom."

Madam Talzin thought for a moment.

“As much as I would like to consider her one of us, she has the right to choose freely,” said Matron Talzin after a moment’s silence.

"What about her two children?"

Matron Talzin intertwined her fingers and thought for a moment, "They are part of this clan, in this position... and yet, their mother entrusted their safety and happiness to Maximoff. It would be cruel to separate them from the people they love and seek comfort and warmth. They can go with Wanda to fulfill their promise to their mother.

They nodded as they were escorted out of the hut, leaving Talzin alone with his thoughts.

She lowered her head with a slightly uneasy look, shook her head, doubting her choice, and prayed that her clan would be safe. Given the current situation in the galaxy, this was the best one could hope for.

Ultimately, they will need all the help they can get and hope that their plans will eventually come to fruition.

When they were reunited with the twins, a lot happened.

Obi-Wan planned that once they got back to the ship, if they didn't find him first..."

He needed to inform the team about the progress of the current clues. However, Anakin turned to Daredevil and asked:

"Matt, can you get any more information from her?"

"If I ask the right questions, I might be able to learn more. But beyond that, the situation is unclear. Her behavior pattern is so unusually calm that I can hardly detect any abnormality. Daredevil whispered to himself: "Her voice doesn't give away any flaws either."
