Chapter 472 Memories, Exchange of Information
Chapter 472 Memories, Exchange of Information
"Hey, guys, soup—here it comes! Oh, and Chucky!" Falcon came out of the kitchen, holding a huge pan in his hands. "Pietro must have dragged you here as soon as he got the chance, just in time for lunch."
"Steve and Sam always prepare big, hearty meals." Black Widow's voice came from behind Falcon, as she slowly moved around the crowd with a plate of steaming pancakes in her hands.
"What's with these pancakes?" Wanda asked curiously. Her eyes were attracted by the food, but at the same time she didn't understand why she had to enjoy them with lunch.
"This is Peter's special recipe." Captain America walked in, holding another large plate in his hands. It was a huge pizza pie. "I thought, since we are all gathered together, let's go all out for this reunion dinner."
"That's right, look at Wanda's drooling look." Falcon said jokingly.
"How could she not be greedy? Ever since she left Earth, she has been enduring the loneliness of interstellar travel, and she doesn't even have Earth food to eat."
The scene at this moment is unforgettable for everyone. The twelve Avengers gathered in a galaxy far away from their hometown, which is a cause for celebration. They sat around a huge table, as if forming an informal but warm family.
Joy, friendship, happiness...these emotions are intertwined to form a special family atmosphere.
Black Widow quipped that the next step is to return to Iron Man and Hawkeye's home to find the Hulk and return Thor from his adventure.
Merlin and Illyana are quickly accepted and loved by the Avengers. They discover that each member has their own unique personalities and quirks, and they treasure every word they hear from Earth's Mightiest Heroes. After communicating with Wanda, it seems surreal for them to talk to the team of guardians she respects.
The two girls learned many things from Wanda about the new members of the group, which made their interactions more enjoyable while also adding new experiences to their young lives.
Overall, after all the chaos and adventures, they felt a wonderful sense of peace and belonging, as if they had found a strange normality. In this vast galaxy, a group of heroic Avengers assembled again, and their journey home was one step closer.
The Avengers have come together to reminisce about their time apart.
Captain America opens by discussing their final battle on Naboo, when they were fighting separately, and now back together. Each Avenger briefly shares the adventures and challenges they experienced while apart from the team.
War Machine is isolated in the base on the planet Rishi, while Quicksilver is on the distant planet Ryloth, searching for clues to return home alone. Black Widow becomes a bounty hunter on Tatooine, traveling between the stars, looking for traces of the Avengers.
Daredevil found a place to stay on Jedha, waiting for the opportunity to go home with tenacity and endless perseverance. Spider-Man plunged into the prosperity of Coruscant, with hope and expectation for the future in his eyes. Black Panther spent time with friendly Wookiees on Kashyyyk, his heart full of confidence in the future. Vision stayed with Bendu.
They believed that as long as they united, they would be able to find the way home. Wanda was waiting silently in Dathomir, her heart filled with longing for her companions and expectations for the future.
"In a way, we have already traveled to every corner of the galaxy." War Machine sighed, leaning back in his seat, his eyes flashing with memories of the past. However, when they talked about the way home, everyone's face showed a trace of helplessness and confusion.
"Is there really no way for us to find a way home?" Black Widow asked expressionlessly, and the atmosphere in the team became slightly depressed as a result.
"Wait, is there a stargate nearby that we can use?" Spider-Man suddenly asked, a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
However, most of the Avengers shook their heads.
"Send us home like it sent us here?" Falcon prompted.
"This isn't Battlestar, Peter," Black Panther pointed out. "Besides, you didn't come here with us, remember?"
"So should we keep looking for a Stargate?" Ant-Man asked. "Didn't we stumble across one before?"
"We stumble upon many miracles," the Wasp said firmly.
"Then maybe we can look again, maybe we can find a stargate that leads to home." Quicksilver retorted. "At least we need to try."
Wanda quietly thought about Spider-Man's words, her brows furrowed. Suddenly, she felt something click in her mind. "I have an idea, maybe we can go home this way." She said excitedly, with a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
"Excuse me for interrupting." Spider-Man said softly, "What did you just say?"
Wanda's mouth curled up, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "On Dathomir, I learned some knowledge about ancient civilizations. Among them was a species called 'Kuaren'."
"Praise..." Spider-Man repeated, "That name sounds familiar."
"It's probably because you've studied a lot in the Jedi Archives," Vision explained, "You may have come into contact with their information."
Spider-Man nodded in agreement. "It's possible. We need to study it carefully and see what else we can find." He added, "Let's talk about 'praise'."
"They were the first civilization to use the Force," Vision quickly explained, "and it was through them that the Infinite Empire, also known as the Rakata Empire, began to rule the world using their teachings and technology."
"They are more interested in ruling than keeping the peace," Wanda added.
Ant-Man interrupted their conversation. "I think we've strayed off topic," he said. "Our purpose is..."
“Yes, I understand. I’m sorry, I may have gotten a little excited.” Wanda cleared her throat. “On Dathomir, there are many Kwak hideouts scattered across the territories, places cherished by their ruling clans. I used my abilities to get a glimpse into some of these secrets, and found the essential reason that connects all of us to the galaxy.”
Wanda then used her powers to summon an ethereal projection. This projection reminded many Earthlings of the Stargate logo, but it was different from what they knew. It seemed to be subtly different from something at the Hydra base.
"This is the Infinity Gate," she explained, "allowing instantaneous interstellar travel between locations."
"Instantaneously?" Captain America repeated to make sure he heard correctly.
"Do you know how they work?" Daredevil asked, turning to the Scarlet Witch with her arms crossed in thought, wearing sunglasses.
Wanda hesitated, "I mean... the Force, or maybe some powerful concentration of energy could open it, but... I don't think it would be that simple."
The prince of Wakanda nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it is likely that things will not be resolved so easily." He added, "Especially when we are faced with more Infinity Gates like this one, not to mention that they need to be intact."
"But I haven't found all the clues I need before I can be found."
Wanda studied the ruins of the Kwa people on Dathomir, hoping to gain insight into the mysteries. However, things were never so easy. Some ruins became blurred due to the passage of time. Although the Dathomir people had preserved them well, the Star Temple was now closed and Zalem's past could not be reproduced, so she lost a lot of valuable knowledge.
Daredevil sat quietly, lost in thought, when suddenly a series of whispers reached his ears and he tilted his head.
"Peter, are you okay?" Daredevil asked softly.
"Hmm?" Young Peter perked up when he heard his name. "What's wrong, Matt? What's the matter?"
"You seemed to be talking to yourself just now." Daredevil said, "Are you okay?"
"Oh, sorry, I'm just thinking a lot." Spider-Man pointed to his head, "There's a lot of things moving here."
Captain America asked curiously as he leaned forward. The Avengers' eyes now turned to the spider-hero.
Spider-Man hesitated, tapping his fingers on the table for a few seconds. Then he spoke, "I've been wondering how we got here. I understand how you got here, but that doesn't explain how the three of us - me, T'Challa, and Matt - got here. You went through the Stargate, and we got involved in an arms deal that led to interstellar travel. I want to know, how did this all happen?"
Everyone in the team could only shrug their shoulders. It seemed that their purpose of coming to the Milky Way was not simple, but they didn't know what the reason was now.
The group fell into a brief silence until Wasp broke the quiet atmosphere in deep thought. "Perhaps, we can try to get in touch with the group of guardians called the "Guardians of the Galaxy" and find out why they are here."
"Sorry, who?" Wanda asked.
"The Guardians of the Galaxy," Falcon elaborated, "We met them before at the Mandalore Summit, a team called 'The Guardians of the Galaxy.' Vision seems to know more about them."
"Oh?" Wanda's eyes sparkled with curiosity, "Are they anything special?"
"What's special is that one of their members is a brother from Earth." Falcon explained in detail, "He was kidnapped about thirty-six years ago and has never returned to Earth since then. According to Hope, it doesn't seem to be because his family is hiding something, but because so much time has passed that he may no longer consider himself an Earthling."
"This is such an amazing experience," Black Widow exclaimed.
"Yes, although he is eager to return to Earth at some point, as far as we know, the Earth's media does not have more information about him," Vision added.
"So, we have a companion from Earth wandering the galaxy, and all we have to do now is find him." War Machine pondered.
"So how do we get started?" Ant-Man asked with some confusion.
"That girl with the antenna - Mantis told us that if we pay attention to the battles and chaos in the galaxy, we'll find their traces." Falcon gave his thoughts.
"Oh, so we are actually forming an 'Avengers Alliance' in the universe." Ant-Man joked, "This should sound interesting."
"But this is not an easy task, Scott," Black Widow reminded.
"I don't underestimate it," Quicksilver retorted confidently, "Wherever we go, there are always new and interesting things happening."
"So full of energy." The Wasp quipped.
"Is there anything else you'd like to share, Wanda?" Captain America asked. "We still have a lot to do, with Ultron and the war as a whole."
“There is one thing I have not mentioned during my time on Dathomir,” she whispered, a hand glowing with a faint light. “It was a time I shared with my daughters, and it had an immeasurable impact on us.”
Afterwards, the Avengers witnessed two pyramid-like objects floating gently in the air and finally landing steadily in Wanda's open palm.
For many in the team, these objects seemed very familiar to them.
Wanda did not say much, but used her power to summon the Sith holographic dragon. The ancient souls hovering around their respective holographic dragons seemed to be awakened and emerged from them.
"Everyone, I want you to meet my mentors," Wanda said with a smile, a mischievous glint in her eyes, and then she pointed to the two holographic dragons floating in her hands, "This is Darth Traya and Zozo."
