Chapter 496: The Son of God Escapes, the Balance Is Broken
Chapter 496: The Son of God Escapes, the Balance Is Broken
Before Ahsoka had time to figure out the current situation, suddenly, a huge bang sounded nearby. The sound was like an invisible force, attracting everyone's attention.
It was strange to see a strange figure appear under Ahsoka's gaze. His face was unfamiliar, but why did it seem familiar to her? Where had she seen such a face before?
"Did you catch him?" a voice sounded, it was Vision's question.
"No, the Son of God has already escaped." The voice that answered carried a hint of dissatisfaction. Although the voice was not loud, it always gave people a feeling of being low like thunder.
Ahsoka's eyes were fixed on the man, and she blinked involuntarily, as if trying to confirm her perception. When she opened her eyes again, her eyes fell on his clothes, his hair, the striking red cape, and the powerful hammer in his hand.
Her eyes began to widen as she suddenly recognized the man standing before her. Past images from the Avengers, photos of members she had never met, were now confirmed in him.
"Wait... could it be him?" She looked at Spider-Man among the other three Avengers puzzledly.
Spider-Man nodded, confirming her guess, "That's right."
Ahsoka's body swayed slightly, but her eyes were firmly fixed on the Thunder God. "But...how did they do that?"
"We are as confused as you are." Black Panther shook his head and gave an answer.
Thor also heard part of the conversation as he approached. "Why are you here, Vision? Aren't you supposed to be on Earth?"
Vision's answer was tinged with uncertainty: "Special circumstances have brought us to this remote corner of this universe. These are circumstances beyond our control."
Thor just nodded slowly, his eyes sweeping over the two Avengers in black. "So who are these two? I am familiar with the Black Panther of Wakanda, but I have never seen you, young man, before."
For a moment, the young New York hero forgot the past few minutes, his words began to stutter, and stars flashed in his eyes. He was standing here, so close to the founding members of the Avengers, which made him feel both excited and a little overwhelmed.
"Oh, I'm P-Parker, Pete... I mean, uh, Spider-Parker, no..." Spider-Man's nervousness mixed with excitement when he met his idol made him stutter.
Seeing this, Vision interjected, "This is not simply 'Spider-Parker', but our great Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man. He, like Prince T'Challa, is a new force in the Avengers."
Hearing this, Thor showed a surprised expression on his face, "Really? It seems that I have been away from Earth for too long."
Black Panther responded with a humble gesture: "I am honored to be mentioned by you, Thor Odinson."
Thor responded with his usual hearty laugh: "Whether I'm here or not, our Guardian team is growing. This is really happy news. I welcome you two, my new companions."
Suddenly, a cough broke the harmonious atmosphere. The four Avengers turned their eyes to Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
"As wonderful as this reunion and first meeting are, we do have more pressing matters before us." Obi-Wan's words revealed a calmness and determination.
Spider-Man patted his head gently, drawing everyone's attention. "Oh, and by the way, that...Evil Son, and everyone else here, we need to pay attention to him." There was a hint of mischief in his tone.
Ahsoka rolled her eyes, while Anakin snorted, their dissatisfaction filled the air. The daughter of the father and daughter, although not yet fully restored to her former glory, had regained her balance.
At this moment, everyone's eyes followed the eyes of the Patriarch of Mortis and focused on a tree in the courtyard of the Holy Child Tower. The tree was gradually withering, and white particles were scattered in an evil wind that seemed to blow from an unknown direction.
Force users, Jedi Knights, and Avengers members could all feel the sudden change in the air. There seemed to be a common, uncomfortable feeling among them.
Anakin's voice was filled with hesitation and confusion, "What happened?"
“When the balance of this world breaks down, it will affect everything in your galaxy as well,” says the Father.
My father's words disturbed everyone present to varying degrees.
"As my son escaped, descended, and began to assimilate to the dark side, the Sith also gained power." The voice of the Father echoed in their hearts: "When the balance of the world is broken, it will affect every life in your galaxy. We all need to prepare to face the coming challenges together."
Ahsoka couldn't help but ask, "So, what about your daughter? How is she now?"
Ahsoka followed everyone's gaze towards her daughter who was kneeling in front of the ancient tree, her head bowed and her hands clasped together as if she was praying.
The daughter just slowly raised her head and gave Ahsoka a weak but sincere smile. Her eyes flashed with firm belief, "Although the power of the Holy Light has weakened, it will never die as long as we continue to fight." Although her voice has lost its former majestic power, it has gained a sense of calmness and confidence.
Obi-Wan couldn't help but ask, "What did you do? How did you bring Ahsoka back?"
"You mentioned transferring life energy, didn't you?" Vision confirmed.
The daughter stepped forward weakly. "The corruption my brother implanted in Ahsoka has penetrated deep into her bones and has almost locked onto her soul." The daughter suddenly made an unexpected move, and she gently stroked Ahsoka's cheek.
"But I cannot allow such darkness to overtake her." She continued, "As part of the light, the true light now resides within you, my dear. With this power, it will be difficult for the dark side to touch you."
These words made Ahsoka fall into deep thought, as if she was shocked by an invisible force.
"However, this comes at a price." The father standing by looked at his weak daughter with a sad look and explained in a cold tone: "With my daughter's selfless dedication, the balance of the galaxy has been broken. My son's power is growing at an alarming rate, and no one can currently compete with him."
Spider-Man interjected, "Uh, didn't you consider the part where Thor smashed his hammer in your son's face?" He pointed to the God of Thunder next to him.
My father shook his head. "It's only temporary."
Anakin chuckled bitterly and crossed his arms, "He's a hell of a hindrance."
Kenobi stepped forward, "If that is your concern, we will try to stop your son."
Father interrupted him. "No, you must leave now." Father explained his decision. "He needs your ship to leave this planet. You must leave before he finds it. Otherwise..."
"Would you mind stopping keeping us guessing?" Spider-Man complained. "We know that if the Son escapes, things will be much worse."
Obi-Wan turned to the father and daughter and asked, "Where are you two?"
The father slowly turned his head and his eyes fell tenderly on his daughter.
"We must stay here and work hard to maintain the balance of this world." The father's voice revealed determination and helplessness. "If we lose the balance, the consequences will be disastrous."
Anakin interrupted his father, his tone clear with irritation. "Okay, we get it," he said. "We can't let this continue to happen."
After a moment of silence, everyone except the father and daughter left the Holy Child Tower and headed towards the spaceship.
