Chapter 499 The Whereabouts of the Soul Gem
Chapter 499 The Whereabouts of the Soul Gem
"I thought you had already left." The father said with a little surprise when he saw the two people coming.
Anakin retorted sarcastically, "You know why we're still here."
"I know why you are here." Father said to Anakin, then turned his gaze to Thor and said, "But I still don't understand why you are here."
Thor, the God of Thunder, said seriously: "Since I left Earth, I have been wandering in the universe. You may not know that in the past eight years, the five Infinity Stones have been known to the entire universe - mind, power, reality, time and space."
My father snorted, his face showing dissatisfaction: "Just as I worried. I had hoped that your arrival was accidental, but now it seems that I was just deceiving myself. After so long, the revelation of the five gems... I am worried about the future direction."
"How much do you know about the Infinity Stones?" Thor asked eagerly.
“I’m surprised you know so little about them,” said the father.
Thor replied: "I only know common sense in the universe. As for the whereabouts of the last gem, I can only refer to some rumors and ancient records."
"Searching for gems is a dangerous task," the Heavenly Father warned in a serious tone.
Thor shrugged and said firmly: "There is no difficulty that I cannot face."
At this time, the daughter spoke up: "This is a dangerous mentality, God of Thunder. Gems are not something to be taken lightly."
Thor's expression became more serious, his face revealed a coldness that even the gods and Jedi Knights looked at him. He said: "I know the danger they contain, Daughter of the Stars. That is why I seek to understand them. As for the Soul Stone, the last of the six gems that is still missing, even the library of Asgard has no clue where it is hidden. It is only said that the three men who guard the Great Mouth know. It took Heimdall a long time to find this place."
"You have traveled far enough, Prince of Asgard," said his father. "You have come from far away Asgard, across the stars, to be here. This is a feat beyond the reach of ordinary men."
Thor, the prince of Asgard, ignored his father's empty words and asked directly: "Do you know the whereabouts of the Soul Stone?"
The father replied, "Its location and how to obtain it are secret."
"I have a feeling this is going to be complicated," Anakin interrupted. "One way or another, we have to find it."
"It's not hard to find its location, but the hard part is how to get it," the daughter said softly.
Thor asked again: "Do you know its exact location?"
My father nodded, his tone heavy: "I know, but I can't tell you."
Anakin couldn't help but sigh, "Really? Is that the most ordinary, clichéd thing you can say? Why can't you tell us? Is it some kind of overlord or the influence of the Force?"
The father explained: "I can't say it because of Alisem's existence."
"So who is this Alisem?" Thor asked.
"He is the supreme celestial being, the judge. He rules over all the celestial bodies in the universe. We are being punished by him for our past mistakes." The father's brows were furrowed, his voice filled with sorrow, "My son may be implicated because of this."
"So what are you going to do?" Anakin asked nervously. He shuddered at the thought of a dark side user. "He has completely succumbed to the dark side."
The father was silent for a moment, then he said slowly: "I have to take action for my mistakes. Ultimately... I have to kill my son." He closed his eyes, his pain evident in his words.
The daughter exclaimed, "Dad! You can't do this!"
Anakin asked his daughter confusedly, "But he was ready to hurt both of you. How can you defend him?"
"I told you Master," the daughter explained. "It's just my nature. Like my brother, his nature is selfish and full of spite. Mine is selfless and kind, and even though we've had conflicts, my love for him remains the same."
Thor continued, "So, what do you call that...what do you say, the mouth? That special place?"
"It is a black hole in the Outer Kessel Sector," the father replied. "A place where only those determined to die would set foot. But that is not what we are discussing now. We need to find a way to prevent my son from escaping Mortis. If he cannot board your ship, he will find other ways, which may attract...unwanted attention."
Anakin shook his head, putting his curiosity aside for the moment and thinking about the meaning of his father's words and why he was here.
"I am impressed by your attitude towards the dagger that Obi-Wan brought." Anakin said after thinking for a while. "Obi-Wan said it could kill the Son."
"That's right," the daughter said affirmatively.
"Can you give us this dagger?" Thor asked.
The father stared at the dagger in his hand again, then slowly handed it to Anakin with both hands. After the Jedi Knight carefully took it, the father continued, "My son will try to take it from you."
Anakin responded calmly, "I know." He looked at the Mortis dagger in his hand and asked, "Where should we go to find your son? He shouldn't return to his territory, right?"
"You are the chosen one," the father smiled, "The Force is strong in this place. Use it, let it flow through your body and soul, and it will guide you."
Anakin took one last look at his father and daughter, then nodded and turned to leave, followed closely by Thor.
"Father, are you sure it's wise for them to go after my brother?" the daughter asked worriedly.
The father was silent for a while, then said, "I have no choice. We must do everything we can to protect this world and the people we love. Now it's time to let go and let things develop naturally. My excessive intervention has caused irreparable damage to the galaxy."
His daughter was silent, following the two men's backs as they walked away. She was filled with fear and worry, not knowing what they would face, but she could not help them and could only watch. However, she chose to trust them and hoped for a good outcome.
The daughter stood there, snuggling close to her father. She knew that although her father could appear strict at times, he was full of love and care in his heart. She believed that no matter how difficult the road ahead was, the two of them had the ability to face and overcome it.
So she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm the turbulent waves in her heart. She knew that she couldn't let fear and worry take over her mind. She had to be strong, trust, and hope for the best.
