Marvel crosses Star Wars, and everyone attacks the galaxy

Chapter 498 Anakin changes his mind

Chapter 498 Anakin changes his mind

"If you keep pacing back and forth like this, my friend, you might end up with a trench right here." Black Panther joked to Anakin, who was pacing back and forth.

They paused their discussion with the Thunder God to decide their next move. The reality was that they were still on Mortis, with nothing to do except wait for the right time to leave.

Everyone's thoughts began to focus on the Son and his abilities. Although they all witnessed the appearance of the dark celestial body, they understood that the Son had even more terrible powers that had yet to be revealed.

"Anakin, you don't have to worry so much right now." Obi-Wan tried to comfort his former apprentice. "Whatever happened, you did well. Tell me, how do you feel?"

Anakin sighed, his eyes looking confused. "I'm not sure if it's the right decision for us to leave now." He murmured. "The Son has been corrupted by the dark side."

"We won't have much of an advantage here if we choose to stay," Thor interrupted, his voice filled with determination and thunder rumbling around him.

"If we try to leave, he will certainly do everything in his power to keep us." Black Panther pointed out solemnly, "The Son's abilities are growing at an alarming rate. He is now able to gain greater control over this realm and may use it against us."

"It is indeed worrying," Obi-Wan agreed.

"However, all strengths also have their weaknesses," Obi-Wan countered.

"What about the dagger? Can we still use it against the Son?" Vision asked.

"I didn't see it." Anakin replied, "Do you think it might be with the Son?"

Black Panther shook his head. "It's either the father or the daughter. I remember that during the first battle between Thor and him, the dagger fell to the ground and was picked up by the father and hidden in his robe. So the Son does not have the dagger."

Vision frowned slightly, "This is only temporary peace."

Before they can discuss further, Spider-Man and Ahsoka emerge from the ship with bad news.

"Well," Spider-Man clapped his hands excitedly, "we have two pieces of bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?"

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes at this, clearly unhappy with the sudden joke.

"Well, let's face it, there is some optimism mixed in with the bad news," Ahsoka said firmly.

"We have two broken Hilo pins, a damaged power converter, the engine needs to be ignited twice to dump the debris, and the backup vent also needs to be recharged." Ahsoka's words revealed a hint of helplessness, and then she left quickly.

Hearing this, the Jedi Master couldn't help but frown, "That does sound depressing," he commented.

Watching Ahsoka jump into the opening in the floor, he pressed on, "Can we fix this?"

Ahsoka replied, "We can try to rewire the main initiator and weld the damping vents. That might give us enough power to leave the atmosphere. But what happens after that, I can't guarantee."

"We have to grasp any glimmer of hope, at least it's better than staying here and waiting to die," someone said.

"Mr. Thor, are you sure you can take us out?" Spider-Man couldn't help but ask.

"Can any of you breathe in space?" Thor asked.

"I can," Vision answered without hesitation.

"My suit should be able to handle this environment." Black Panther said confidently.

Spider-Man also raised his hand and said, "Me too."

Obi-Wan silently rolled his eyes.

During this brief discussion, Anakin briefly left the ship and drove away alone in a speeder. His Padawan was the first to notice this, "Master? Where are you going?"

Anakin quickly explained his actions, "I am going to meet the father and daughter. I do not believe that the father and daughter can keep the Son here without our help. Perhaps we should make our stand."

"Anakin—"

"It will haunt me forever if I leave without their blessing," Anakin said firmly.

Obi-Wan sighed, "As much as I'd like to go myself, the reality is that you need someone to accompany you. The Son has your attention focused on you and may be crazy enough to do anything."

"I will go with you," Thor said suddenly, stepping forward. "I have my own reasons for coming here. It is very likely that the Father knows what I seek."

Black Panther thought for a moment and said, "If Thor wants to go, then I think Anakin will be safer."

"But what about the ship—" Anakin hesitated.

"We are capable of handling it." Vision said in a firm tone.

Spider-Man, however, had his doubts. "But Vision, if the Son really comes... well, about your gem..."

Vision patted Spider-Man's shoulder gently to show his comfort. "I trust all of you to make sure that doesn't happen."

So, Anakin and Thor left the group, and the group began to repair the ship.

Meanwhile, the father and daughter stood on a high mountaintop, overlooking the valley's hills, each covered with huge rocks and stones.

"We haven't been here for a long time." The daughter said softly, with a melancholy smile on her face. "Our warriors deserve respect, don't they?"

My father did not respond immediately, but just stared silently at the valley of cemeteries, with a desolate and longing look in his eyes.

"This was her favorite garden, wasn't it?" The father spoke slowly, his eyes revealing distant memories. "You and your mother brought plants back from various planets and carefully found homes for them. You even convinced your brother to join you a few times, although he probably wouldn't admit it."

Hearing this, the daughter's expression darkened slightly, and her smile became sad and painful.

"Yes." Her eyes sparkled, and she reached out her fingers to wipe away the tears that were about to fall. She pointed to a particular mound, on which stood a double-sided pyramid-shaped object. This mound was the second largest in the valley, second only to the one where the father and daughter stood.

"We were so happy then." The father's words seemed to travel through time and space in his daughter's ears, "those simple joys, love and laughter... before anything happened."

At this moment, my father pulled out a dagger from the sleeve of his robe, and regret and resentment were intertwined in his eyes.

"And now, I must act again—"

"Dad, you can't do this!" the daughter stopped him anxiously.

"I have to do this!" The father interrupted his daughter in a hoarse voice, "This is what I have to do."

The atmosphere between the two suddenly became tense and heavy. Finally, she gently placed one hand on her father's cheek and said in a gentle tone: "This is not your fault, father."

He just shook his head slightly, holding her hand and then releasing it. He took a deep breath, and his eyes revealed worry. "Oh, but it is true, my child. Don't you notice that this pattern is repeating itself again?"

The father turned his gaze to the graves in the valley, his eyes resting on the dagger at his waist. He stood up straight and sighed, "Arrogance, arrogance, ambition, we always want to prove to others and ourselves that our methods are correct. But now, your brother's recklessness has brought a threat to the entire galaxy." He shook his head in self-mockery.

His daughter lowered her head and said nothing, her brows furrowed, her face revealing deep regret and sadness.

"Daughter, I beg for your understanding." The father's voice was full of pain and self-blame. "I am just an old man now, still obsessed with predicting and even controlling the future. Now everything is on the verge of collapse. Chaos, destruction, and death are everywhere."

“Father, is this really irreversible?” she asked in a barely audible voice. “Are we really going to stay here and pay for our past mistakes until this universe becomes dark and lifeless?”

Faced with her question, her father fell silent. Suddenly, thunder rumbled, breaking the heavy atmosphere. The two looked up and were surprised to see Thor falling from the sky, holding Anakin tightly in his other arm. The Jedi Knight landed in a somewhat awkward manner.

"Oops." Anakin said unhappily, his hair a little messy, "You could have reminded me that we were about to land."

Thor shrugged, "I really should have warned you."

Anakin just rolled his eyes at the answer, "Why didn't you tell me we could actually fly like this without the speeder?"

Thor said sarcastically: "If I had warned you, how could I have heard you scream like a girl?"

Anakin felt depressed.
