Chapter 503 Anakin trapped in the whirlpool 2
Chapter 503 Anakin trapped in the whirlpool 2
"Your anger will give you power."
Anakin's eyes widened as he saw the dark figure he had fought, standing silently before him before dissipating into particles that joined the swirling dust surrounding him.
"The Force is with you. You will bring balance... to everything—"
"Your fate is sealed," a voice came from the shadows, like a torrent of Sith lightning streaking through the air.
Anakin felt the phantom pain of the force piercing his body, but he was not touched. He clenched his teeth, filled with despair and frustration at all this.
He tried to escape this dark vortex, but each step was like a stumble. He felt his breath escape his body, and his entire body became rigid. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead as he struggled to move and breathe.
There was an indescribable fear deep in his heart, as if something was quietly approaching. His hands unconsciously moved to his chest and tightly grasped his clothes.
Behind him, through a massive window, was the silhouette of a man. He was watching the destruction of a planet below him, an imposing presence that rivaled the highest order of any known species in the galaxy. His presence matched his power.
Surrounding him were those who followed him willingly, and they looked equally dangerous and powerful.
"As time goes by...you learn what it feels like to lose."
"Your fate is sealed, Anakin." The voice sounded again, with irresistible power.
Anakin gasped and knelt on one knee. He tried to force himself to stand up again, but his body was unable to move. He felt that he was being pulled by an invisible force and could not escape.
Anakin's heart was filled with despair and fear, but he knew he could not give up. He had to hold on, for the Force, for balance, for the people and things he loved.
He tried to stand up again, but fell down again. This time, he was on all fours. His body seemed to be bound by invisible chains, unable to move.
"I am..." Anakin panted, his heart filled with doubts and fears. He didn't know where he would go, and what his fate would be.
The horrors he experienced could not be described in words. This was an inescapable fate, a force that could not be resisted. However, Anakin knew he had to face it because he was a Jedi Knight and his mission was to protect the balance and the Force.
"Anakin," a soft voice made his eyes snap open and he looked up to see his wife standing in front of him.
"Pa--" he called out, his voice caught in his throat, and he watched her face gradually disappear and turn into solid rock.
"Padmé!" Anakin exclaimed, rushing forward to try to touch her. However, as soon as his fingertips touched her stone body, she dissipated like dust.
His heart seemed to be frozen in the ice of time, but this relentless torture seemed to have just begun.
"Anakin..." A low voice came from all directions. It was the call of the Jedi Knights.
Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Rex, the Jedi Knights, his clone troopers, the Avengers...
They turned into ashes and dust in an instant.
"No! No! This is not true!" he shouted, but his voice sounded so weak and powerless in the empty universe.
He tried to get closer to the memories that turned to ashes, tried to grab any of them, but it was in vain. They just disappeared, leaving him one by one.
Anakin fell to his knees, clasping his hands, feeling nothing but self-loathing and endless sorrow. The horror was not over.
He felt as if he was in an endless avalanche, snowflakes rose from where he was, his fingers began to turn white, and then turned into ash. The pain spread like a plague to his arms and other parts of his body. He opened his mouth and looked up at the sky, but could not make any sound.
Anakin felt the disappearance of life. All these lives were swallowed by the ruthless darkness. The entire universe fell into chaos and despair. Death was everywhere!
Anakin couldn't breathe. This sight, this feeling... they came over him like a huge wave, drowning out every other feeling in his body, even his soul. He reached out to grab his throat, and his crystal blue eyes slowly turned gray. The life drained out of him, and he turned into a wisp of dust in the universe.
Then, this hellish torture came to an abrupt end.
In the darkness, Anakin felt a surge of pure anger and power, and saw the Son staring at him with extremely angry eyes.
"What...what does this mean?!" he roared, rushing towards the stunned Anakin, "This is not the destined future! What did you do?!" His voice was like suppressed thunder, echoing in the empty field.
Anakin was too shocked to speak, and there was a glassy, almost dead look in his eyes.
The embodiment of the dark side, the Son, seemed to be begging Anakin for answers.
Suddenly, rumbling thunder sounded in the sky, and the Son of God was frightened and took a step back.
He became undecided at this moment, looking up at the sky, then looking down at Anakin, whose body transformed into a giant bat and fled before Thor could arrive.
"Come back, you coward!" Thor shouted angrily and threw his hammer at the fleeing Son. The hammer's trajectory drew an arc in the air, but unfortunately it missed the target and returned to Thor's hand a few seconds later. Thor was annoyed at missing again.
"Asshole." Thor muttered to himself, then his gaze turned to Anakin who was still kneeling on the ground, and was a little surprised at his pale and haggard appearance.
"Anakin, are you okay?" Thor squatted down, looked at Anakin at eye level, and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "Do you need help?" His voice was full of concern.
Anakin stared blankly at Thor, his soul beginning to recover after the chaos and terror he had just experienced. His eyes revealed a kind of confusion and helplessness.
He didn't know what to do, what to do...
All he wanted now was to go home and hold his wife in his arms.
"Where is he?" Anakin said this after a long while, his blue eyes looking sharper with determination and concentration.
"Running away like a coward again," Thor spat, standing up and holding out a hand for the Jedi to take.
Anakin took the hand Thor offered him and struggled to stand up with all his strength.
The two left this dark abyss and headed towards where their companions were. They hoped to leave Mortis as soon as possible.
