Chapter 524 News about Earth
Thor quickly came to where the Avengers were gathered. When he arrived at the door, he heard the cheerful laughter in the room. He pushed the door open, with a bright smile on his face, and looked around at the Avengers who had gathered together.
"I am very happy to see that everyone still maintains high morale and strong spirit in this alien world." Thor's voice echoed in the room.
"We've always been able to adapt and make use of what we have at hand." One Avenger responded to Thor's sentiment with a smile.
"Okay, now that everyone is here," Captain America announced as all the Avengers sat around the large dining table. "Now we can get down to business."
Then, Scarlet Witch used her super powers to float two plates of food and handed them to her two daughters. She said to Merlin and Elena, "Take Mara, you go back to your rooms now."
"Oh, Wanda, are we really going to do this?" Illyana asked reluctantly.
"Yes, children. You need to obey the adults' arrangements." Scarlet Witch said firmly in a motherly tone, "This is a conversation for adults."
Although the two girls were somewhat dissatisfied, they were eventually surrounded by Scarlet Witch's energy and sent back to the room.
"You've grown stronger since we last met, Wanda," Thor admired.
"Thank you for the compliment, Thor." Scarlet Witch responded kindly, "We are all partners fighting side by side."
Thor smiled and nodded. Then, the thirteen Avengers sat around the table and began to enjoy lunch and discuss important matters.
"We have a lot to discuss." Captain America spoke first, "Well, Thor, tell me about your experience returning to Earth."
Thor immediately said: "My companions on Earth are working tirelessly to open the Infinite Gate. During the time I was away, Jane was full of confidence in opening the Infinite Gate."
"I hope we don't make the same mistake again." Wasp said, pulling out a holographic screen that showed the data Thor brought from Earth. "We need to find a gate here that is related to the Infinity Gate on Earth. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack, isn't it?"
Black Panther nodded in agreement: "Perhaps we can try to find some marks, whether it is an inscription or a coordinate, so that we can narrow the search area."
Ant-Man said with longing: "If we succeed in opening the Infinity Gate, I wonder how many of them will be able to make it here. I heard from Thor just now that Stark and Barton have been busy recruiting people since we got here."
This topic aroused the interest of everyone present. Now, they can be said to have two Avengers, one in this galaxy and the other guarding the earth.
For some old members, hearing the return of Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes was undoubtedly a huge surprise.
"At least we know our home is protected," Daredevil said. "With all of us gone so suddenly, Earth must have been severely undermanned."
War Machine agreed. "That's true. But how can we be sure where they end up? Even if they work together, who can guarantee that the random landing we experienced when we first arrived in the galaxy won't happen again?"
Captain America responded with an optimistic attitude: "I guess we can only stay positive and trust our brothers in arms. They know what they are doing, and we just have to be patient and wait for good news."
Another surprising news brought by Thor was that a Jedi Knight named Celeste Moon had come to Earth and had a close relationship with the Winter Soldier, and the Jedi Council didn't even know about it.
In order to unlock the secret of Celeste Moon, Jocasta Nu was assigned to look for clues in the vast Jedi archives. At the same time, other masters also tried to find a clue from their experience and intuition.
Speculations circulate among the Jedi as to how this Jedi Knight came to Earth. Some believe it may be similar to the method used by the Avengers to reach the galaxy, or that an elusive force in the Force is at work.
One idea in particular stood out. Jocasta brought up an ancient mission - a Jedi mission called "Interstellar." This mission was assigned about fifteen years ago to a team of six Jedi Masters, twelve Jedi Knights, twenty Padawans, and fifty thousand clones. Their goal was to explore the unknown regions of the galaxy, beyond the boundaries of known space, and into the vast void.
Unfortunately, they lost contact with the ship soon after, and no one was heard from again. When they reviewed the list of missing Jedi Knights, they found that Celeste Moon was not among them. This made Jocasta more determined to find the truth.
"My companions," the Thunder God said calmly but decisively, "We face more than just this problem. With the Child's escape from Mortis's bonds, a new threat has arrived. This is one who intends to wage war on all who might oppose him."
Scarlet Witch asked curiously, "So, who is he? You called him 'Celestial', right?"
Vision replied, "Yes. It is difficult to fully explain what kind of being he is, but now he is no longer confined to Mortis, nor is he restricted to only being able to use a portion of his powers."
Quicksilver asked confusedly, "Why is he creating more wars here?"
Black Panther explained, "He sees this as revenge for his thousands of years of captivity. It is in his nature. His daughter once said that strife and conflict are part of his character. When the Son is at large, the only way to bring him down for good is with the Dagger of Mortis."
"Where is this dagger?" Daredevil asked.
"In the dome of the Jedi Temple," Spider-Man revealed.
The Avengers looked at each other, full of doubts. Ant-Man raised his doubts: "Are you sure that place is safe? It was looted by Ultron's attack. Wouldn't it be looted again?"
Daredevil explained, "As you feared, it was the unique circumstances surrounding Ultron's attack. It was a unique and unfortunate timing that allowed the theft to occur. But now, this place is the only place where we can safely store and retrieve the dagger once we learn of the Child's whereabouts."
"Do you think, if the Jedi knew about Wanda, would they take away Wanda's holographic dragon?" Quicksilver suddenly asked.
Scarlet Witch replied firmly, "I want to meet them... maybe they can take Sakura N, but not Kreia."
Wasp asked with a worried tone, "But won't the Jedi eventually find them?" She looked at Scarlet Witch, "Shouldn't the Jedi have the right to know?"
"They will have it when they truly master it," Scarlet Witch explained.
Captain America interrupted them and said, "We are not here to discuss this now. Let go of these doubts. That holographic dragon belongs to Wanda, so it is up to Wanda to decide."
Thor was confused. "I'm obviously missing some important information. Is there something special going on with Wanda?"
Black Widow responded curtly, "We'll tell you the details later."
"Yes, there's something else we wanted to talk to you about," Vision said, "How did your meeting with the Jedi Council go? I was going to ask."
"Oh, right. I almost forgot, this is what happened..."
