Chapter 525 God from Asgard

Chapter 525 God from Asgard

Chapter 525 God from Asgard

A few days ago...

The God of Thunder greeted the assembled Jedi with his usual confidence. "I am Thor, the God of Thunder, from Asgard."

"Welcome, Thor of Asgard," Yoda said. "Lots of questions. Imagine you have the same problems we do."

"Of course." Thor nodded.

On Yoda's left, Mace Windu stared at Thor, who also looked back at him with a hint of disbelief. Noticing Thor's expression, Mace Windu felt helpless, as he already knew why he was being paid special attention to.

"Yes, I already know that I look like Nick Fury, who your team is familiar with." Windu said quickly.

"Strikingly similar," Thor said. "With an eyepatch and a beard, I can't tell them apart. The universe really can be a strange place sometimes."

Obi-Wan Kenobi smiled, he had seen the image of Nick Fury that the Avengers were talking about.

If it weren't for Windu's lack of the aforementioned characteristics Thor mentioned, Obi-Wan would have believed it was a clone of his fellow Jedi Master.

"Calling yourself a god is pretty arrogant, don't you think?" Plo Koon asked.

Thor nodded in understanding, "My people have felt the same confusion in the past. Others refer to us as a more advanced civilization. But in fact, I am indeed a god." Thor declared very seriously, lightning flashing around his hammer and eyes for a moment.

"Deity status aside..." Mace Windu leaned forward, an intensity in his eyes. "You speak as if you know us. Have you been here before?"

Thor shook his head. "My father came here when he was young."

"What do you mean by young?" Obi-Wan asked. "If you are really a god, then your life span should be very long."

"Can we know your age?" Depa asked.

"Of course, ma'am. I'm 1500 years old."

This undoubtedly caused the council to fall silent, and Yoda's breathing became rapid.

“You don’t look your age,” Kit Fisto said, his smile slightly surprised compared to his usual easygoing one.

"I know, but age and wisdom are not necessarily proportional, Jedi Master." Thor said bluntly.

"But you possess wisdom that we lack. Knowledge of a greater universe that is isolated from the rest of us."

Hearing this, Thor's expression became serious and he nodded to the Jedi.

"There is a barrier around this system that is difficult for Heimdall to get through. He used a lot of dark magic to get me in here, and even then, he was very exhausted."

"Dark magic?" Windu's voice became sharp.

Thor knew that this group of Jedi had a special reaction to "black" and shook his head, "This is different from the dark side of the force that your order is familiar with. Although black magic has such a title, it is different from the rules you are familiar with."

The Jedi Council looked at each other in bewilderment until Plo Koon spoke next.

"Speaking of things we are not familiar with," Plo Koon pointed to the hammer in Thor's hand. "I can't deny that many of us are curious about the hammer you have."

"Mjolnir," Thor said, holding it up for all of them to see, using some of his power to make it hum.

"What is that?" Shake asked. "The power emanating from that object... I have never felt anything like it before."

"We should all feel this way," said Adi Mundi.

"Check it, may I?" Yoda asked suddenly, leaning forward with his staff.

Thor looked at the little old man, then nodded and put down his hammer.

Master Yoda stood up from his seat and stumbled over to the hammer, his eyes scanning it.

"Material?"

"Made of Uru, forged in a fading star," Thor told the Jedi Master.

Yoda hummed, placed his hand on the hammer handle, and closed his eyes.

"I feel a lot of power. Big, powerful." His head tilted to the side, frowning. "A destroyer, could be mistaken for one."

Yoda then pushed the hammer, only to find it didn't move.

He pushed it again, this time using some Force enhancement, and the result was the same.

Thor, already knowing what Yoda was doing, explained, "My father put a spell on it, and no one who is not recognized by Thor's hammer can lift it."

"How can we be recognized?" Obi-Wan asked.

"I often ask myself that, too." Thor shook his head. "I sometimes don't understand how I am recognized, but since I was exiled to Earth, lost and regained my power, I have come to understand that, at the very least, I must always strive for this value, to ensure that the power of Thor's hammer will never be ruthlessly abused again."

"I feel a deep connection," Yoda said. "But there's a lot for you to understand, huh?"

Thor nodded. "You are correct on this point, wise Jedi Master."

Obi-Wan cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention to him.

"Back to the previous topic. We have strayed from the obvious barrier surrounding the galaxy. I remember your arrival on Mortis was quite spectacular."

"The Bifrost," Thor said. "It is the means by which my people can reach most places in the universe."

"How is this method achieved?" Luminara asked in surprise.

"Magical means of our own. And the use of the Space Stone to enhance its power. Heimdall believes this is the component needed to help him get past the barriers surrounding this galaxy."

"The Space Stone?" Windu repeated.

"It's one of the reasons I'm here, Jedi Master." Thor said. "Since you met my teammate Vision, he should have told you about the Infinity Stones, right?"

All the Jedi Masters nodded.

"Early last year, the Mind Gem appeared, and as far as I know, it was the fourth Infinity Gem to appear. In fact, the Space Gem was also one of them. Since then, I have been traveling the universe, searching for the final two, until I found the other one on Earth. So, of the six Gems, five have now appeared, and I believe there is now a greater danger."

"A greater danger?" Windu snapped. "What do you mean? What threat do these Infinity Stones pose?

"In the hands of people like Vision and Doctor Strange, the Infinity Stones pose little threat, and they will protect them, but if the stones fall into the hands of someone with ulterior motives, planets or even galaxies could be destroyed in an instant. If someone collected all six stones, the power they possess would live up to the name given to it - the Infinity Stones.

This undoubtedly made the Jedi Council uneasy.

A power that can command the forces of the universe in the hands of someone with bad intentions?

They couldn't imagine the damage that could be done, and it left some on the Jedi Council feeling a little overwhelmed.

"Since you know you've found five, what about the sixth?" asked Kit Fisto.

"I don't know exactly where it is. I thought Father Mortis would tell me, but no..." Thor shrugged, "From what I have gathered from the archives on Asgard, the last gem that is hidden is considered the most important and powerful."

"What is this gem?" asked Plo Koon.

"The Soul Gem. This gem can steal, manipulate, modify, or create souls. It can even seal many things into the gem. Just like the Reality Gem, the limit of the Soul Gem lies in the imagination of its holder."

Obi-Wan sighed tiredly and rubbed his temple.

"Frankly, my friends, I believe we have communicated enough today. Our new friends here have told us a lot of information. Maybe we should end our communication today and talk about these issues another day."

"Agree." Pro Kong said, and the other members echoed him.

"Thank you, we do." Yoda nodded, "We have much to discuss, and learn even more. Our Temple is at your disposal. Learn what you can, and in return, teach what you know. Knowledge of power is to be spread and cherished."

Thor grinned at Yoda, "I think my father would like you, Master Yoda."
