Chapter 465 Leaving
Chapter 465 Leaving
"Have you met Geszerian?" Madam Talzin's doubts revealed her concern about the situation, and her tone was full of uneasiness.
"Yes, she displayed great powers," Wanda replied briefly. "She held an object in her hand that gave her powers similar to Zalem's."
"Her powers," Ventres whispered to himself, "are slightly different from mine... not exactly the same."
Matron Talzin turned her gaze to Asajj, her eyes revealing a desire to explore.
Asajj, her hands unconsciously clenched and then unclenched, as if forcing herself to adjust to her newfound strength.
"That's it," she said quietly but firmly. "That's right. That's it."
Madam Talzin was lost in thought, her arms crossed, her fingers touching her lips, as she reflected on what the two had described.
Her heart was filled with worry - she had just joined the Dathomir Witch Union to fight against the return of Gerthzerion, and their target suddenly disappeared without a trace.
"We must inform other tribes of this situation in time." Madam Taljin announced decisively, "Maximov, you must immediately pass the message to Ross and other tribal leaders so that they can prepare for this."
Wanda nodded to show her understanding, then turned and left. After a moment's hesitation, Asajj chose to follow her.
"Asajj, wait a moment." Madam Talzin's voice interrupted the departing figure.
The Nightsister leader gazed at Asajj with expectant eyes. She pulled her hands out of her sleeves and an orange glass sphere spun between her palms.
“You have awakened a dormant power within you,” she said in a soft, respectful voice. “For years it has eluded you, but now it is within your grasp.”
Asajj's chest rose and fell slightly after hearing these words, but he still chose to remain silent.
“However, this power is new,” she continued, “unpolished, unknown, and untested. Therefore, you will face many challenges.”
Ventres nodded silently, knowing full well that this was the truth. New power would indeed bring new challenges and unknown tests. However, it would also be an opportunity for her to grow and become stronger.
“You need to find a way to fully realize and harness the power you possess. This cannot be achieved in one place. You must embark on a journey to find the means to help you.”
Asajj blinked and shook her head slightly, as if digesting this information. She asked in confusion, "You mean I can't stay here?"
Matron Talzin waved a hand gently, reassuringly. "It is not a question of whether you are allowed to remain here. This place cannot provide you with the tools to master your newfound power. You must travel outside to gain the control you need. For our sisters, for our witches, for our plans - to challenge not only the power of Sidious, but the authority of Gthzeran as well."
Although she was reluctant, Asajj understood the wisdom of Mother Talzin and knew she had to discover the secret herself.
"Where should I go, then, Mother Talzin?" she asked. "How can such power, these abilities, be taught so easily? Is there anyone else in this galaxy who knows the secret?"
Mother Talzin thought for a moment before answering, "Perhaps a few know of this, but they are as rare as the stars. However, with Maximoff's power and your own, I sense that there may be other undiscovered ways to use the Force. I have discovered something that may help you on your journey."
The orange crystal ball in her hand flickered, revealing a series of star images. Asajj recognized the outlines of these planets.
"Your power is not isolated, Asajj," Mother Talzin revealed. "Somewhere in the galaxy, there is a power that echoes it. You have relatives, blood relatives, and they share your blood and power."
This news shocked the Dathomir hybrid. "What? You mean…"
"Yes, my dear," Madam Talzin affirmed. "As I said, you are not alone. You must seek out your loved ones, and only then can you gain a deeper understanding of how to wield the power you share."
"But, Madam..." Asajj began doubtfully.
"You could talk to Count Dooku," Matron Talzin suggested. "Tell him what you've discovered and what you're planning. The Count is a patient man, and he might be able to give you some guidance."
Ventres bit her lower lip, her heart full of contradictions and struggles. She felt extremely dissatisfied about leaving her homeland in this way.
Asajj longs to stay on Dathomir. Not only does she have deep feelings for her clan, but she also stays here because of Dooku's guidance. However, she must remember his advice and work hard to grow and become stronger for their common goal.
The current environment makes it impossible for her to achieve self-growth and improvement on the planet where she was born.
Therefore, she had to leave.
Although Asajj was reluctant to admit this fact, he knew deep down that this was the only option.
Matron Talzin's voice was as warm as a spring breeze, bringing comfort to Asajj. "You will always have a place to call your own, my child." Her words were like magic, dispelling the doubts in Asajj's heart. "Don't forget, your journey may be longer than you expected, but you will return to your people. So do not worry, for all will be well as it was before. You will return to us, my beloved child."
When these words reached Ventres' ears, her face showed firm belief and determination.
"Mother Talzin, I will never let you down. I will come back." Asajj's tone was full of determination and promise.
“I have no doubt of that,” Madam Talzin responded.
Soon after this affectionate conversation, Asajj began to prepare for her departure, gathering what she would need and leaving Dathomir aboard the first smuggler ship to arrive.
She said goodbye to her companions and even shared an awkward hug with Elena. After bidding farewell to Count Dooku and accepting his blessing, Asajj Ventress set out on her journey.
Wanda witnessed the ship take off, with Elena, Merlin, and her friend June by her side.
"Does she really have to go?" Illyana's voice revealed her worry and reluctance about her cousin's sudden departure.
"Everyone has their own journey to go, little one." June comforted, gently patting the shoulder of the dark 2 night sister. "But everything will return to the starting point in the end."
"But how long will it take?" Merlin asked curiously about the meaning of the journey.
June shrugged. "Until a person's full potential is discovered."
Wanda said firmly: "Especially for a young person like Asajj, this is always her home. She will come back."
Although the young children are full of reluctance, they also understand that this is the only way to grow up. Illyana is trying tirelessly to get in touch with her long-lost cousin. After Asajj's baptism, she believes that Asajj will not leave the planet in a short time. When Wanda witnessed Illyana's persistence, she couldn't help but recall some past events on Earth. Perhaps such a scene can bring a little spiritual comfort to Illyana.
Then, Vera Lynn's classic song emerged in Wanda's mind, and she hummed softly.
"We will meet again.
Although I don’t know where and when,
But on sunny days,
We will meet again.
Keep smiling as usual,
As you always do,
Until the blue sky disperses the dark clouds..."
The song resonated with some people. Merlin and Illyana liked the song and gained positive emotions from it. June hummed in agreement, temporarily putting aside the troubles in her heart because she had important responsibilities to deal with.
"Come on, dear friends." Wanda called them gently, holding their hands tightly. "I think we are all hungry. I'm sure you two are hungry too."
Elena and Merlin gladly accepted Wanda's kindness. They smiled with gratitude and waved their hands happily on the way to the mountain village.
At this time, the roar of a huge ship engine came from the sky, breaking the tranquility of the mountain village.
Wanda turned around and saw a huge curved ship parked in front of the mountain village. The Avengers looked at the ship with a vigilant look and gently pulled Merlin and Elena to his side.
Her eyes fell on four figures stepping out of the ship, and the hazy air of the planet made it difficult for her to identify them. Two of them were dressed in robes with armor-decorated wrist and shoulder pads. And the other one...wait, that outfit is so familiar! It was an Earth-style outfit, with a white button-down shirt, a black tie, and a matching gray jacket and pants. The man also had a cane and wore a pair of crimson sunglasses.
"Wait..." Wanda thought to herself, "I recognize them."
She recalled the fragments of words she had heard from Ventres, and as she watched the other Nightsisters preparing to disarm the four men, a ripple of emotion rose in her heart...
